I was pretty excited to watch the wheel spin, but slowly and slowly, I started to get irritated as the wheel spun for a whole 10 minutes. At last, when I was about to get exasperated, the wheel finally came to a stop. After 25 minutes, a whole 25 minutes, my bloodline was revealed, and I was given the legendary bloodline of a space dragon.
I was greatly relieved that it wasn't the bloodline of the illusion dragon. Having something unique like that would have probably brought trouble my way. I asked the system to provide more information about the legendary space dragon. The system explained, "Space dragons are a type of dragon who can accommodate a whole universe inside of them or have a similar space of a whole universe. They are generally gentle in nature and like to hide their hoard inside their space dimension. They are also known as keepers, as they do not engage in other's affairs or fight; they keep to themselves until and unless somebody comes after them. Whoever comes after them has a very miserable end, as they are pulled into the dimension of the space dragon, and in that space, the space dragon is the god. So, fighting a space dragon in this dimension is near to impossible. Not many go after them and let the space dragon be, but even so, there are some people who come after them. Due to space dragons being very powerful and very few in number, a case of a space dragon being hunted down has not happened yet."
Hearing the system's response, I jokingly scolded it for raising flags for me, as it was not a good habit for my system to raise flags for its host.
Regardless, I was excited to have the bloodline of one of the legendary dragons that were still few in the universe. I hoped that with my bloodline, I could seek guidance from some senior space dragon.
I asked the system about the next level to which my bloodline would be upgraded. The system explained that as I already had 9 strands of dragon blood and the system had rewarded me to upgrade my bloodline, all my blood would be concentrated and formed into a dragon heart. This process would last for a whole year before my strength would start to increase until I reached tier 5, which was the strength cap for this world. After that, I needed to go and search for a trial ground, and according to the system's calculations, it would take me around five years to reach the limit and accommodate my strength and new body and bloodline.
I was relieved that my strength would finally increase after a year, as it had not improved in the last year. I was looking forward to smashing my brother Luke's pride by reaching tier 5 before him and surprising my parents. However, I also needed to make preparations for Alice and my child, Falkor. Alice won't be a problem as she is already very talented and has the blessing that brings her good luck. As for Falkor, I planned to search for some things in the system when I had enough money. If I could, I would give him something to purify his bloodline even more, which would increase his good luck and improve his chances of increasing in strength.
As I was preparing for my future, I came out of the concentration hall and realized it was already nighttime. Everybody must have already had their dinner, so I went to my bed and fell asleep, unaware of the storm that had happened in the palace just a few hours ago.
Few hours earlier:
Every member of the royal family was present at the dining hall, except for Maxwell, his wife Alice, and their new member Falkor. Max's father looked at Luke and asked, "So, you said Maxwell named his firstborn Falkor, symbolizing the long-lasting glory and good luck of the royal family. The boy also has the features of the royal family and has shown strong vitality and talent in magic and warrior path. Is it true?"
"Yes, father," Luke replied.
After that, the king went into silence and considered it for some time. Then he said, "It certainly is a great name, and just like your younger brother, I hope this child also brings glory to the royal family and has inherited the talent of both his father and mother. But it can also be said that being able to give birth to a child of Dragonheart so smoothly and without facing any critical problems during childbirth, Alice must also have a very powerful bloodline. It might be on the same level as our bloodline or even higher."
Listening to this, everybody was shocked, as it was a well-known fact that in their plane, the Dragonheart bloodline was the strongest. Many of the family members had reached tier 5 and ascended to the upper ranks, while those who failed were forever stuck at level 4 and came back to serve the royal family, becoming the backbone of their strength. This was also one of the reasons why no rebellion had happened for the throne, as the Dragonheart family had the support of both the commoners and powerful strength to deter the nobles. As ages passed, everybody had become accustomed to the Dragonheart family ruling over them. However, there were exceptions, and a man always has desires, so this trend acted as a big deterrence for anybody who was thinking of overthrowing the Dragonheart family from the throne. But now, the king himself suggested that Alice's bloodline might be on the same level or even higher than their own. This revelation brought shock and joy to the rest of the family members. They could not help but rejoice, as this bloodline had become a part of the royal family and might improve the bloodline of their next generation. At the same time, they were envious of Maxwell's luck for finding such a rare talent for his partner.
