The girl was crying on the floor now; it was evident from Diana's face that she regretted taking it this far, so she was trying to calm the girl down.
"You don't need to cry; we won't harm you," Diana approached her, giving her a hug and trying to offer comforting words. However, it didn't work, so she looked at Luffy for help.
Luffy was eating popcorn he had taken from somewhere at some point while the girl was telling her story. He realized he had been caught red-handed when Diana turned to him.
He stopped eating and looked at Franky to ask, "Is there something like this on my list?"
Franky, who knew his master well, already knew what he wanted, so he replied in his refined voice, "Yes, sir, Numbers 42 and 54."
He then completed his speech, "Number 42 – participate in a rebellion against the empire" and "Number 54 – help a princess regain the throne."
"Although Miss Satiah is not considered a princess at the moment, according to logical calculations, her parents probably remained on the throne if everything goes well, controlling Lower Egypt, which would make her a princess."
Franky concluded his monologue like this.
Luffy, who heard this, thought about what to do. Franky was talking about a list he made while he was bored, containing things to do in the future, like meeting certain people or participating in certain events. Merlin was on that list.
"You can mark it as done," Luffy approached the girl and used some of his divine aura to make her calmer. Then he said, "Hey, we came from afar to find this scarab, but since it already has an owner, I'll be a gentleman and make an irresistible proposition."
The girl, who was now calmer, became nervous again. Inmo was using her mind-controlling powers more discreetly because he didn't want to brainwash her.
So, Satiah managed to overcome her power and became anxious.
Merkare and Persenet were at their main base; they had received information that a few days ago, the base where their daughter was located had been attacked, and their daughter was taken by the enemy. It happened so fast that no one could see what happened. However, for some reason, no one was killed during the invasion, so the reasons behind the attack were still unknown, but presumably, their daughter must still be alive.
So, they were trying to gather more information about this when a subordinate entered the room to inform them that their daughter had been spotted. She was coming to the base with three strangers.
They became worried and ordered everyone to be on guard and protect the entire base. Merkare would meet his daughter and the strangers at the base gate, while Persenet would stay inside the base and provide support in case of danger.
She, being in possession of the Anubis amulet, along with the rest of the soldiers, could handle most of the dangers they were aware of.
Satiah was walking alongside Diana during the days it took for them to reach the base. She had calmed down more; Diana had talked to her a lot, always talking about how Luffy was a good person and how he wouldn't do something as bad as stealing the scarab.
Satiah thinks Diana is completely in love with Luffy, although she had talked to Luffy, she had never been able to see the sparkle that Diana said he had. Yes, he could be cheerful and fun, but he's always trying to hide something.
In the end, she only agreed to this plan because she got to know them better and found out they were a group of people with superpowers.
Everyone was very strong, fast, and one of them was a very powerful wizard.
And when she learned Merlin's past, the pieces fell into place, and she instantly knew who he was – an ancient magician who lived in the northernmost country. His legend had spread to many places, even reaching Egypt.
Satiah, who was part of the high council of the rebellion, had even better information. She knew that not long ago, Merlin killed his great rival, an old and powerful witch, thanks to a group of foreigners who helped him. In exchange, he went with them.
Upon reaching the front of the base, her father was there in his full armor. She told the trio to wait while she talked to her father alone. She walked away from the group to meet him alone.
The blue beetle scanned his daughter and found nothing wrong. He approached her and asked what had happened. She ended up telling him everything. While he listened to the story, many feelings surged within him – anger, hatred, sadness, and, in the end, relief.
Thanks to his helmet's armor, he could keep a neutral face without showing his true feelings. He sent his daughter inside the base, where her mother was waiting for her. Meanwhile, he would talk to these strangers. She told him to be careful before entering the base.
Merkare approached the strange group; his armor had already alerted him that these people had strange energies around them, so they were probably dangerous.
