"If you don't mind me saying," said Lamphere, "But your tone suggests that this is more than a theoretical question."
Andrea glanced at Kyle for input. Either the man on the phone was particularly astute or her voice gave away a lot more than she intended. Either way, lying didn't seem like a great idea. Kyle seemed to feel the same way, as he shrugged and gestured that he'd follow her lead.
"We just found out that Gusev is in the vicinity," she said carefully. "And we were wondering…" Are we safe? "...Should we be trying to apprehend him?" she found herself saying. If there was a warrant out for Gusev, this would be a rare opportunity to grab him.
"Are you law enforcement?" Lamphere asked.
"No, we're lawyers," Andrea clarified. She hadn't meant that they would try to do anything themselves! "But we're at the courthouse, we could have the marshals take him into custody."
