Chapter 31 - Why is there Radiation in the middle of nowhere?

As Cheng Shan escaped deep into the forest, he did not seem to realize that he had already approached a massive mountain-like region, in this place, the temperatures were very low, and the more he moved further even the vegetation growing seemed to be those adapted to the cold environment.

Looking around, other than being dumped and gloomy, nothing else seemed to be observable, and more importantly, he could no longer see the sun in the sky. Mist seemed to be pervading the skies and this was something he did not seem to realize along the way.

With the strength he had at the moment, he had some confidence to run whenever he encountered trouble, and he was more or less accepting of the massive snake creature, as he had seen some bigger fish in the sea during this period his clone stayed underwater, more than that, the material that gave him attribute points was obviously unique. In this way, it would be unrealistic to operate under the assumption that what he knew was the entire truth of the world, after all from some records he had read online from some Western researchers, humans have less information about aquatic life.

In the very depths of the waters, it said that most of life is not something that humans can speculate about and in the very depths perhaps even creatures that have a lifespan of a millennium might exist. This is because it was already proven that some creatures are present whose lifespan goes all the way to 250 years. In that way, perhaps even more massive life can be found in the areas that mankind has not explored and they do not interact with man, because the shallow regions do not have resources for them.

With such thoughts, he was able to build some confidence, but that did not mean that he assumed no other massive creatures existed, in the massive records even for humans there have been records of those whose bodies are abnormally large or in most cases even lived longer than the norm.

At this moment, he was more concerned about the place rather than the creatures that could threaten him since he was on land, and in this place, his speed in itself would be astounding.

"What is the deal with this place though? Is it like in my thoughts and the governments have deemed some places forbidden grounds for some good reasons." As he was pondering over this issue he continued to move forward but it was not before long that he seemed to have come to some understanding of the dangers in this place.

The further he moved, he could see animal bones, but that was not what made him more concerned, as he discovered that his blood energy was flowing faster than before. More than that, with his sensitivity level having been increased, he could perceive some energy that almost seemed to resemble the sun acting on his body, it was just too intense and thus the changes.

"Radiation?"

Yes, he realized instantly, the radiation in this place seemed to make his body and blood energy move faster. Perhaps if normal creatures and in that case, the bones he was stepping on came to this place they would end up dead from the radiation, but it seemed to have less effect on him. When he moved forward further perhaps it could increase, but that was not the thing that made him concerned, as the moment he approached, Wu Qin Xi seemed to be circulating on its own, and casting his eyes on the technique it had changed. Not just in a small way rather the proficiency has risen by 10.

This in itself is an important issue and he was thinking of what was happening but this did not stop him from trying to cultivate the technique. In an instant he could feel some warmth spreading through his body it did not seem to have the same effect as when he cultivated in the normal environment. The blood energy in the body seemed to have also been reduced but compressed in some way, as more cells seemed to be dying while new produced that adapted to this environment just fine.

He did not move away thought, rather he continued to practice in place as he was trying to figure out something.

On the other side, a motorcycle seemed to be moving fast on the official road, before it stepped on another lane, eventually arriving at an intersection.

The person on the bike seemed to be the one that had visited Cheng Shan's home with the intervention of taking his life. But in this moment he had a respectful expression and this can show that he was afraid of someone or something in the moment. Before long, another car seemed to have arrived at the intersection before stopping and on this part of the road, no cameras seemed to exist.

The moment the car came into his sight, the man become even more respectful and his motorcycle helmet seemed to have been glued to his head as he had been waiting for a while. He walked closer to the car but did not seem to be removing the helmet at all. In the same way, the owner of the car seemed to pack at the side of the road, before coming out.

One could see that he was a man with some grey hair, but not the one that had sent the motorbike guy to Cheng Shan's place to take his life. Rather he seemed to be someone else with authority considering how the man with a helmet was more reserved and humble.

At the back of the car, the bonnet was opened and the old man looked into the helmet with cold eyes. It was obvious that this man was a dangerous one and this was probably what made the helmet man so humble, as though he was facing a superior in the same field.

"The organization does not have resources to waste on useless tasks, those that are not a threat to the interests of the organization should not become people you prioritize, the next time this happens you should just end yourself. It was said that you were using organization personnel to handle personal issues, hope it does not happen again. You know that our plans are almost about to come to fruition, don't let us down." As the man spoke he leaned close to the helmet and said some words that could only be heard by the two of them.

Even when he spoke, his face seemed solemn, and after that, he walked back to his car, the man with a helmet was the one that ended up closing the bonnet. He was the only one left behind and one could see that his hands held behind his back were shaking slightly even if he tried to calm himself.

It was as though he had just survived some kind of death encounter, but his line of sight did not change at all, as he stared at the care until it disappeared from his line of sight.
