This morning was amazing. I woke up with Dominic, had a great breakfast with him and my mom, and went for a jog along the river banks.
"Back so soon?" Dominic called out to me when I returned from my jog.
"Looks like it," Stupid response. "Just trying to improve my stamina for when I run away from you guys."
"Good luck with that, I've been a runner since the day I was born."
He must've been working out. His hair was always perfectly swooped out of his face, but when he worked out a couple of strands would turn the other way, bouncing in his face when he walked.
"That's true, but you haven't been doing much of it recently. "
"Recently as in the past three days sure, but I've run more in the past 14 months than my entire life combined.
"I guess that's true." What am I thinking? If I would just shut up I wouldn't have to worry so much about what I said. At least out loud it wouldn't.
"Can I come with you on your next jog?" So effortless? How?
"Yeah definitely. I'll let you know when I plan on going next."
"Deal." He nodded. And headed down the hall to his room.
"So you and him are getting along well."
"I'd say so." I said with a smile.
My mom shook her head laughing and continued picking at her jacket strings.
