Karito Pov

One solar cycle has completed its revolution since the commencement of my interdimensional odyssey, marking the passage of time and the onset of another year in my mortal existence. It seems that the inexorable march of time continues to erode the vestiges of my youth, as I now find myself standing at the threshold of my twenty-first year. Ah, the relentless march of temporal progression—a reminder of the transience of mortal existence.

Nonetheless, the chronicles of my endeavors persist in their ceaseless narrative. I have remained steadfast in my pursuit of justice, meting out justice to the small-time malefactors that dare to defy the societal order. Additionally, I have had the privilege of lending my assistance to various missions under the auspices of S.H.I.E.L.D., where my collaborations with esteemed individuals such as Steve Rogers have proven to be both intellectually stimulating and physically invigorating. My skills have grown exponentially through these encounters, honing my abilities to an unprecedented level.

In the sanctum of the Avengers' Tower, I have become an indomitable force, offering my aid to the esteemed team in their noble quest to safeguard the world from imminent threats. In recognition of my unwavering dedication, I have been rewarded with substantial recompense, courtesy of the esteemed Tony Stark. His generosity knows no bounds, showering me with financial remuneration as an expression of gratitude for my unwavering commitment.

Speaking of Tony, he recently summoned me to his opulent abode. One cannot help but wonder if I am once again destined to experience an impromptu overnight sojourn within his magnificent residence. While such an arrangement does not displease me in the slightest, for it affords me the indulgence of limitless culinary delights, I must admit to a sense of curiosity regarding the nature of this summons. Thus, I arrived at his residence astride my trusty motorcycle, parking it with care before traversing the path to his imposing entrance.

A gentle rap upon the door was met with the sight of Pepper Potts, the ever-capable and gracious consort of Tony Stark. Her countenance was suffused with delight upon beholding my presence, and she expressed her pleasure through the tender embrace she extended towards me, enveloping me in her warm embrace.

(Pepper) "Oh, Karito you're here. Did Tony call you again?"

(Karito) "Yeah, it's either Steve or Tony calling me all the time now."

(Pepper) "You might as well move in, this is like the 9th time you come by this month."

(Karito) "Well, the guest room does have a lot of my stuff in it."

(Pepper) "That's true. Also, Tony is downstairs, he probably started without you again."

(Karito) "Okay, I'll go to the lab now. Thanks, Pepper."

(Pepper) "No problem, Karito."

I walked into Tony's house and headed straight for his lab downstairs. As I descended the stairs, I could hear him talking to what seemed like a camera or something. It was a bit weird, but hey, it's Tony Stark we're talking about. He's always up to something cool.

I made my way over, trying not to interrupt whatever he was doing. Turns out, he was deep in conversation with that camera, probably recording something important or just having one of his trademark Tony Stark rants. I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I casually approached, keeping my distance but still eager to catch snippets of his monologue amidst the whirring and buzzing of the lab equipment. Who knows what genius ideas or witty remarks he was sharing with that camera?

(Tony) "Good evening, and welcome to the birthing suite. I am pleased to announce the imminent arrival of your bouncing, badass baby brother." Starts making gestures to his AI "Start tight and then go wide. Stamp date and time. Mark 42. Autonomous prehensile propulsion suit test. Initialize sequence."

Mark 42? I think I remember this, let's just keep watching for a bit. I then heard the armor activate.

(Tony) "Jarvis, drop my needle."

As Tony finished his conversation, the familiar voice of Jarvis filled the room with the playful tune of "Funky Christmas." It was an unexpected choice, but that's Tony for you—always adding a touch of eccentricity to every moment.

Amidst the festive melody, I couldn't help but chuckle at Tony's spontaneous dancing. The man had moves, no doubt about it. He swayed and grooved with a carefree spirit, his energy infectious even in the confines of his lab. It was a moment of levity amidst the seriousness of his work.

But soon, his attention shifted back to the task at hand. He glanced at a piece of his armor, a glimmer of determination in his eyes. With a theatrical flourish of his hands, he attempted to activate it, as if conjuring a magical spell. Yet, despite his efforts, nothing happened. A hint of frustration clouded his face, and he tried again, hoping for a different outcome.

(Tony) "Crap..." Bites a specific spot on his forearm and smacks it a few times

With some quick tweaks and adjustments, Tony got things sorted out. He struck a pose that seemed straight out of a JoJo anime and, lo and behold, it actually worked! A piece of the armor flew towards him, latching onto his hand, and the rest followed suit, gradually attaching to his shoulder. Tony couldn't contain his excitement and let out a burst of laughter, probably saying something he'd regret later. But hey, in that moment, he was on top of the world, reveling in his success. It's just another reminder of Tony's genius and knack for turning ideas into reality.

(Tony) Puts his hands in the air "All right, I think we got this. SEND THEM ALL!"

As Tony issued the command, a mesmerizing display of technological prowess unfolded before my eyes. With seamless precision, each piece of the armor took flight, guided by Tony's unwavering control. It was a symphony of mechanics and engineering, an intricate dance of metal and ingenuity. The armor responded to his every gesture, swirling and swooping through the air like a flock of metallic birds.

In a moment of exuberance, Tony gracefully raised his right leg, an elegant movement that seemed almost balletic. The armor, ever obedient to his commands, swiftly latched itself onto his leg, forming a seamless fusion of man and machine. But alas, the same cannot be said for the helmet. In a sudden twist of fate, it obstructed Tony's vision, causing him to stumble and collide with one of his meticulously crafted armors on display. The resounding impact echoed through the room, a reminder of the fallibility that accompanies even the most advanced creations.

However, Tony's reflexes were sharp, his instincts honed by countless battles. As another piece of armor hurtled towards his face, threatening to disrupt his momentum, he swiftly raised his arm in a defensive gesture. The armor piece collided with his protective block, sending a reverberating impact through the room. Its trajectory altered, it found its mark on the ceiling.

(Tony) "Probably a little fast. Slow it down..." makes the timeout sign "Slow it down just a..." Ducks and the armor piece crashed to the wall once again "...Little bit."

As the pieces of armor surged towards Tony, their relentless pursuit of their master was met with an equal display of agility and precision. With lightning-fast reflexes, Tony intercepted the oncoming parts, expertly redirecting their trajectory. Their metallic bodies ricocheted off his well-placed blocks, sending echoes of clashing metal and shattering equipment through the lab. It was a battle of wits and dexterity, as Tony deftly countered each attempt of the armor to claim its place on his body.

In a moment of triumph amidst the chaos, Tony's hand-eye coordination proved its mettle. With a swift and calculated movement, he intercepted a leg piece hurtling towards him, skillfully allowing it to latch onto his thigh.

Yet, even in the midst of his expertise, fate had a whimsical sense of humor. A rogue piece of the armor, driven by uncontrollable forces, found an unintended target: Tony's most sensitive region. The unexpected impact elicited an involuntary grimace from the renowned inventor, a reminder that even the most formidable heroes are not immune to the occasional bout of discomfort.

As if fate was intent on testing Tony's resilience, another unforeseen mishap occurred. The back section of the armor, seemingly determined to assert its own will, propelled Tony off his platform, threatening to disrupt his balance. Undeterred, Tony's quick thinking and resourcefulness shone through. Activating the rocket boosters embedded within his gauntlets, he maneuvered himself in mid-air, using the propulsion to counteract the unbalanced forces.

(Tony) Strained "Cool it, will you, Jarvis?"

With graceful finesse, Tony descended from the airborne chaos and regained his footing on solid ground. The surrounding atmosphere grew charged with anticipation as the fragments of armor coalesced into a seamless fusion around his form. Each piece seamlessly melded into place, forging a shield of technological prowess that would become an extension of his own being.

Yet, as the transformation reached its crescendo, the final stage beckoned—a convergence of power and identity that would culminate in the faceplate. The chest armor, brimming with an ardent determination, pushed against Tony's resistance. Each impact propelled him backward, testing his resolve and eliciting an unwavering determination from the master of innovation.

In an awe-inspiring display of agility, Tony defied the imminent embrace of the faceplate. With a nimble twist of his body, he evaded its path, sparing the delicate record player from an untimely demise. The mask, suspended in mid-air, seemed to hold a mystique of its own. In that momentary pause, Tony's gaze met the enigmatic presence before him, as if recognizing the profound significance of this union—where man and machine would merge to become an indomitable force.

(Tony) "Come on, I ain't scared of you."

As the mask soared through the air, propelled by an unseen force, Tony's instinctual reflexes kicked into high gear. With a seemingly effortless grace, he executed a perfectly timed side flip, defying gravity's constraints. The symphony of his body's movements harmonized with the surrounding space, creating a moment of pure kinetic artistry.

With a resounding impact, Tony's boots made contact with the solid ground, shattering the silence beneath him. The earth quivered beneath his presence, as if paying homage to the arrival of a true superhero.

(Tony) "I'm the best."

In a moment of quick thinking and agility, I sprang into action as the armor piece hurtled towards Tony's posterior, threatening to disrupt his esteemed sense of swagger. Like an elegant gust of wind, I swiftly closed the distance between us, extending my hand to seize the renegade component before it could make contact.

With a deft maneuver, I intercepted the rebellious metal with impeccable precision, capturing it in my grasp mere inches away from its intended target. The grace of my movement was matched only by the astute awareness that guided my actions, ensuring that Tony's swagger remained untarnished.

(Karito) "I want Ice cream, I literally saved your ass right there...and you're spotlight."

(Tony) "Oh! Karito you're here! I bet you were seeing how badass I was right?"

(Karito) "Well, you were going to end up with a sorry ass if I didn't catch this piece of your armor in time."

(Jarvis) "Welcome, Sir Karito."

(Karito) "Sup, Jarvis."

(Jarvis) "As always, it's a great pleasure watching Mister Stark work."

(Karito) "It certainly is. Also, Tony, I see your fricking eyes. When did you sleep?"

(Jarvis) "He's been awake for 72 hours."

(Karito) "What the hell? Tony, you need to rest."

(Tony) "Yeah, I'll do that."

(Karito) "You ain't sleeping for another while are you."

(Tony) "Maybe."

(Karito) Sigh "I'm just gonna look at the news"

As Karito made his way to the television and powered it on, the room filled with a flickering glow, casting an ethereal light upon his face. The screen came to life, revealing a haunting image that sent shivers down his spine. It was the Mandarin, a figure cloaked in shadows, commanding attention with an aura of darkness.

The recorded video spread like wildfire across the vast expanse of the internet, captivating the attention of millions. In the chilling footage, the Mandarin stood before a crowd of people, each one forced into a submissive kneeling position, their eyes filled with fear and trepidation. His piercing gaze scanned the room, dissecting their souls with an air of sadistic authority.

With calculated precision, the Mandarin began to speak, his words laced with an ominous undertone that sent a shiver down the collective spine of all who watched. Every syllable carried a weight of impending doom.

(The Mandarin) "Some people call me a terrorist."

As the Mandarin concluded his chilling inspection, a somber silence filled the air. The weight of his presence hung heavy upon the souls of those who knelt before him, their collective fate sealed by his cold, callous judgment. With an air of finality, the Mandarin turned and gracefully strode away, leaving behind a trail of trembling bodies in his wake.

The camera panned, capturing the harrowing scene that unfolded before the eyes of millions. A line of disciplined riflemen stood in stark contrast to the vulnerable figures on their knees, their weapons poised to carry out the Mandarin's ruthless command. The air grew thick with tension, as if the world itself held its breath, unable to fathom the impending tragedy about to unfold.

In a moment that seemed to stretch into eternity, the riflemen, mere pawns in the hands of their malevolent master, raised their weapons as one. The cold metal of their rifles glinted ominously in the pale light, a haunting reflection of the darkness that now enveloped the hearts of those who witnessed this macabre spectacle.

Time stood still as the thunderous crack of gunfire shattered the stillness. Lives were abruptly extinguished, severed by the merciless hands of fate. Each echoing report served as a grim punctuation mark, signifying the tragic end of countless lives, the extinguishing of hopes and dreams that were once held dear.

(The Mandarin) "I consider myself a teacher."

As the screen transitioned from the haunting scene of devastation, a new tableau emerged, one filled with a vibrant tapestry of humanity. A multitude of voices, diverse in their origins and aspirations, erupted in a chorus of elation. The air crackled with electric energy as the collective jubilation permeated every fiber of the atmosphere.

Amidst the sea of faces, a kaleidoscope of emotions played out, each individual swept up in the swell of a shared moment. Cheers reverberated through the air, a symphony of exultation that transcended boundaries of language and culture. Applause cascaded like a cascade of applause, a thunderous ovation honoring the triumph that had just unfolded on the screen.

The crowd, a mosaic of humanity, erupted with unrestrained enthusiasm, their voices intertwining in a harmonious cacophony of celebration. In this unified chorus, divisions dissolved and barriers crumbled, for in this moment of collective joy, the human spirit soared above differences and found common ground in the ecstasy of shared victory.

Chants echoed through the air, each syllable a testament to the power of unity and the indomitable human will. The fervor of the crowd was palpable, a tangible force that radiated with unbridled passion and unwavering belief in the extraordinary potential of the human race.

(The Mandarin) "America... Ready for another lesson? In 1864, in Sand Creek, Colorado, the US military waited until the friendly Cheyenne braves had all gone hunting. Waited to attack and slaughter the families left behind and claim their land. 39 hours ago, the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait was attacked. I...I...I did that. A quaint military church filled with wives and children, of course. The soldiers were out on maneuvers. The braves were away. President Ellis, you continued to resist my attempts to educate you, Sir. And now you've missed me again. You know who I am. You don't know where I am. And you'll never see me coming." The screen changes into multiple violent crimes and ends with two swords and many rings around it.

News center...

(Pat Keirnan) "Now that we seem to be back, let's recap some of the frightening developments..."

(Reporter) "American airwaves were hijacked..."

(Megan Henderson) "The nation remains on high alert."

(Reporter) "All attempts to find the Mandarin have so far proved unsuccessful."

(Ellis) "Central to my administration's response to this terrorist event is a newly minted resource. I know him as Colonel James Rhodes. The American people will soon know him as the Iron Patriot."

(Reporter) "And how is President Ellis responding? By taking the guy that they call War machine and giving him a paint job."

(Old lady) "The same suit, but painted red, white, and blue. Look at that. And they also renamed him, "Iron Patriot. You know, just in case the paint was too subtle."

Karito Pov

(Rhodey) "It tested well with focus groups, all right?"

(Karito) Gruffly voice "I am Iron Patriot." Laughs "Bro, it sucks. Honestly, War Machine sounded a lot more badass."

(Rhodey) "Listen. "War Machine" was a little top-aggressive. Alright? This sends a better message."

(Karito) "James, it's like they are trying to make you look like Captain America. You should've stayed with the name before. People loved it, who gives a shit if it was aggressive? It sounded badass."

(Tony) Sigh "So, what's really going on? With the Mandarin."

(Karito) Snorts "That name...reminds me of a fruit... it's so funny to me."

The imposter Mandarin had captivated their attention, albeit temporarily. However, in the back of my mind, I couldn't help but acknowledge the absence of the real Mandarin, the one who would not make an appearance following the events of Endgame. It felt like the end of an era, a bittersweet realization that the journey had reached its conclusion. Yet, even without the true Mandarin, the impact of his character remained, leaving a lasting impression on the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

(Tony) "Karito seriously, can we talk about this guy?"

(Rhodey) "It's classified information, Tony..." Sees that Tony isn't budging "Okay, there have been nine bombings."

(Tony) "Nine..."

(Rhodey) "The public only knows about three. But here's the thing, nobody can ID a device. There's no bomb casing."

(Tony) "You know I can help. Hell, even Karito can. Just ask us. I got a ton of new tech. I got a prehensile suit." Stammers "I got a bomb disposal. It catches explosions in mid-air."

(Rhodey) "Karito, when was the last time Tony had a good night's sleep?"

(Karito) "Yesterday, when I venom stung his neck."

(Tony) "I did NOT appreciate that! Why did you even do that to me?"

(Karito) "What kind of fucking question is that? Jarvis told me you haven't slept for 3 days. So I had to knock you down to sleep."

(Tony) "I didn't ask you to! Einstein slept three hours a year. Look what he did."

I wondered if Tony still struggled with PTSD. I mean, I tried my best to keep him safe, but that near-death experience must have left its mark. Damn it, it's frustrating. But you know what? Screw it. I can be there for him, just like he was there for me. I'll offer my support and help him through his own battles. It's the least I can do after everything he's done for me.

(Rhodey) "People are concerned about you, Tony. If it wasn't because Karito knocked you out so you can sleep, I would have been more concerned about you but I still am."

(Tony) "You're going to come at me like that?"

(Karito) "Tony, that isn't what he's trying to say."

(Rhodey) "No, look, I'm not trying to be a dick..." Looks at 2 kids approaching them and stops the conversation "...taitor..."

(Little girl) "Do you mind signing my drawing?"

(Tony) "If Richard doesn't mind. Are you all right with this, Dick?"

(Rhodey) "Yeah. Fine with me."

(Tony) "What's your name?"

(Little girl) "Erin."

(Tony) "I loved you in A Christmas Story, by the way." Starts signing

(Rhodey) "Guys, listen. The Pentagon is scared. After New York, aliens...Come on. They need to look strong."

(Karito) "Of course, they want to, the government always wants to radiate that big dick energy but can't because of..." Points at him and Tony "they weren't able to do shit. And let's not forget about me fucking throwing their nuke to space? They wanted to nuke a city with plenty of civilians left and nuke it because they got desperate. Did I mention the nuke?"

(Rhodey) "Karito I get your point but what else were they supposed to do?"

(Karito) "Fucking wait and let the big boys do their work. We had a plan to stop the invasion anyways, I came up with the idea."

(Tony) "He did actually, even tho it was a lucky guess that Loki's scepter could interrupt it."

(Rhodey) Sighs in defeat "Alright fine. Anyways, stopping the Mandarin is a priority, but it's not..."

(Karito) "Let me guess? It ain't superhero business?"

(Rhodey) "No, it's not quite frankly."

(Tony) "Yeah, yeah...I get it."

(Rhodey) "It's American business."

(Karito) Doubt "Uh huh?"

(Tony) "That's why I said I got it."Starts to freak out a bit and exhales sharply

(Karito) "Tony the fuck? You good?"

(Tony) "I broke the crayon..."

(Rhodey) Looks around

(Erin) "Um...Are you okay, Mr. Stark?"

(Karito) "Hey um, Erin? Stark here is very tired because of superhero stuff you know? The others are constantly trying to keep the world safe. So he's just exhausted okay?"

(Erin) "O-Oh...I'm sorry I didn't know."

(Karito) "It's alright." Pets here "Guess what?"

(Erin) "What?" Tilts head

(Karito) Pulls out a metallic Spider-Man symbol "Here, this is for you." Places a finger on his lips "From yours truly, Spider-Man"

(Erin) Happy "Oh my god! Thank you!" Hugs Karito

(Karito) Pets her "It's no problem kid. Just keep my secret okay? I can't let my enemies know who I am, okay?"

(Erin) "Yes sir! Thank you! Let's go, brother!" Starts to leave

(Erin's little brother) "O-okay." Follows his sister

My gaze shifted towards Tony, whose composure seemed to falter as he started to succumb to mounting anxiety.

(Karito) Grabs Tony's shoulder "Hey man, they are gone. We won! They can't hurt you! Remember that I took care of it. No aliens are going to attack you okay? It's over."

Tony gradually regained his composure, his frantic energy subsiding as he offered his sincere apologies.

(Tony) "I-I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me. I'm I'll be right back" Starts to sluggishly walk over to his armor that was outside, once he made it he got in it and fell on his knees "C-Chek the heart." Stammers "Is it the brain?"

(Jarvis) "No sign of cardiac anomaly or unusual brain activity."

(Tony) "Okay, so I was poisoned?"

(Jarvis) "My diagnosis is that you've experienced a severe anxiety attack."

(Tony) Shocked "M-Me?"

As I watched Tony rush outside, it hit me that he was still dealing with PTSD. Seriously, how did that happen? I thought I had it covered. Well, shit. I quickly suited up as Spider-Man, going invisible and getting ready to follow him.

(Rhodey) Taps Tony's armor "Hey man, this isn't a good look."

(Tony) "Sorry, I gotta split." Grunts and blasts into the sky

(Spider-Man) "Wait, Tony!" Shoots a web on Ironman's back and goes airborne

(Ironman) "Karito, get off me!"

(Spider-Man) "I ain't letting go, man! I'm coming with you!"

(Ironman) "No, you aren't alright! I'm crystal clear!"

(Spider-Man) "Fuck you and your ego! I know you're suffering from PTSD man!"

(Ironman) "No, I'm not! I'm alright! So let go!"

(Spider-Man) "No! Fuck you! I'll just call Pepper and tell her what's going on! And you know damn well I can just bust into your house if I wanted to! So let me help you just like how you helped me!"

(Ironman) "...Fine..."

By some stroke of luck, Tony let me tag along to help him out. I guess my charm and people skills paid off once again. Well, lucky me! We flew back to his place, with me swinging on my trusty web. Once we landed, we hurried inside, and I stashed away my suit for now. Tony wasted no time and headed straight to his lab, and of course, I followed him. Once we were in the lab, Tony called up Happy on video, and after a few rings, Happy finally picked up.

(Happy) Face right on the camera "Hello?"

(Karito) "Did you call Forehead of Security?

(Tony) "I think so."

(Happy) "What? You know, look... I got a real job. What do you want? I'm working. I've got something going on, here."

(Karito) "Happy just because you became the head of security doesn't mean you're a Giga Chad."

(Happy) "Fuck you, Karito. Let me be happy for once."

(Tony) "He's probably harassing interns again."

(Karito) "I bet."

(Happy) "Let me tell you something. Do you know what happened when I told people I was Iron Man's bodyguard? They would laugh in my face."

(Karito) "I would too just to annoy you."

(Tony) Chuckles

I continued to trail Tony as we ventured deeper into the labyrinthine depths of his lab, our conversation with Happy still ongoing via the phone.

(Happy) "I had to leave while I still had a shred of dignity. Now I got a real job. I'm watching Pepper."

(Karito) "How's that going on for you?"

(Happy) "Really?"

(Tony) "Yeah. We both have the same question in mind."

(Happy) "All right. So, she's meeting up with this scientist. Rich guy. handsome."

(Tony) "Right."

(Happy) "I couldn't make his face, at first. Right? You all know I'm good with faces."

(Karito) Snorts "Mhm most definitely."

(Happy) "Well, so I run his credentials. I make him. Aldrich Killian. We actually met the guy back in...Where were we in '99? The science conference?"

(Tony) "Um... Switzerland"

(Happy) "Right, right, exactly."

(Tony) "Killian. No... I don't remember that guy."

(Happy) 'Of course, you don't remember. He's not blond with a big rack. At first, it was fine. They were talking business. But now it's like, getting weird. He's showing her his big brain."

(Karito) "His brain?"

(Happy) "Yeah and she likes it. Here let me show you." Starts tapping random buttons on the tablet "Hold on...see?"

(Karito) "Hey boomer, press the switch camera button. I can still see your massive forehead."

(Happy) "Screw you Karito, this is your era. And Tony is a tech genius. Guys just trust me. Get down here."

(Karito) "I think you're overthinking it Happy, nothing is gonna happen."

(Happy) "I don't trust this guy. He's got another guy with him. He's shifty"

At least Happy is right about him being suspicious. Tony swiftly accessed the relevant data and deftly retrieved the information on the individual in question.

(Tony) "Relax."

(Happy) "Seriously?"

(Tony) "I'm just asking you to secure the perimeter. Tell them to o out for a drink or something."

(Happy) "You know what? You should take more of an interest in what's going on here. This woman's the best thing that ever happened to you and you're just ignoring her."

(Karito) "Well, he's not wrong Tony."

(Tony) Sigh "A giant brain?"

(Happy) "Yeah. There's a giant brain. There's a shifty character...I'm gonna follow this guy. I'm gonna run his plates and I'm gonna... You know, if it gets rough, so be it."

Tony ventured into the cellar, in search of the perfect bottle of wine. His keen eye scanned the shelves, carefully selecting one that caught his interest. With the chosen bottle in hand, he proceeded to locate two exquisite glasses to accompany their impending indulgence.

(Tony) "I miss you, Happy."

(Karito) "Same here, when can I put whipped cream on your hand again so you can slap yourself with it in your sleep?"

(Happy) "Fuck you, Karito. But I miss ya'll, too. But the way it used to be. Now you're off with the super-friend. I don't know what's going on with Tony anymore. And the only exception is Karito because he's always dropping by but he can be seriously annoying when he wants to."

(Karito) "Aww, I love you too Happy."

(Happy) Sighs "The world's getting weird."

(Tony) "Hey!" Stammers "I hate to cut you off. Do you have a Taser on you?"

(Happy) "Why?"

(Tony) "Why? I think there's a gal in H.R. who's trying to steal some printer ink. You should probably go over there and zap her." Leaves happy in the wine cellar

(Karito) "He does know how to end a call right?" Tony gives him a glass and pours wine into it

(Tony) "It'll be funny if he didn't"

(Karito) "Also, did you order something? I sense some people upstairs."

(Tony) "Yeah I bought a big plushy dog for Pepper, we are gonna celebrate something today."

(Karito) "Do I need to be in the far-end guest room with headphones on?"

(Tony) "Bro, are you serious?"

(Karito) "I'll take that as a no."

(Tony) "Just give us some privacy every once in a while okay?"

(Karito) "Hey, you know I give you space when you ask me right?"

(Tony) "Thank god you respect boundaries. It's why Pepper allows you in the house even when we want to be alone because you do respect."

(Karito) "And pluss the house is huge and I can do a million things besides troll you guys."

Tony heads upstairs and asks me to lend a hand with a few things. I'm totally down for it and ready to help out.

Small time skip...

After all the hustle and bustle of getting things ready for the party and maneuvering that gigantic dog to the front, I plopped down on the sofa and put on my headphones for a quick breather. The music played as I zoned out, just enjoying the moment of peace. As I was lost in my own little world, I sensed someone entering the house, probably Pepper finally coming back. I casually took off my headphones and opened my eyes, ready to see who it was.

(Pepper) "What the... What is that? You're wearing this in the house now? Also, hey Karito" Hugs him

(Karito) Hugs back "Hello!" Stares at Tony fully armored

(Pepper) "Is that like, what? Mark 15?"

(Karito) "It's actually 42..." Continues to stare at the armor

(Ironman) "What Karito said. You know, everybody needs a hobby."

(Karito) "Tony, get off your lab."

(Ironman) "I don't know what you're talking about."

(Karito) "Don't test me, I can sense you."

(Pepper) "Tony, are you serious?"

(Ironman) "Busted..."

(Pepper) "Karito, can you give me and Tony a minute? I need to talk to him, and thank you."

(Karito) "I'll be in the gaming room then."

Pepper headed down to Tony's lab and found him in the midst of doing pull-ups while simultaneously keeping an eye on the news and going through some documents. The room had a dimly lit atmosphere, creating a moody ambiance. As she walked in, she couldn't help but notice Tony's well-toned physique and the determined expression on his face. The rhythmic creaking of the pull-up bar mixed with the chatter from the news, creating a unique soundtrack for the scene. Pepper glanced around, spotting the scattered papers and files that revealed the extent of Tony's ongoing projects.

(Pepper) "This is a new level of lame."

(Tony) "Sorry..."

(Pepper) "You ate without me already? On date night? Did you make Karito clean and cook for us again?"

(Tony) Points at Mark 42 "He was just..."

(Pepper) "You mean you."

(Tony) "Well, yeah, I just mean we were just hosting you..."

(Pepper) Scoffs in disbelief

(Tony) "...While I finished up a little work."

(Pepper) "Uh-huh."

(Tony) "And yes, I had a quick bite."

(Karito) On his personal coms in the house "He made me cook twice."

(Pepper) "Are you serious, Tony?"

(Tony) "I didn't know if you were coming home or you having drinks with Aldrich Killian."

(Karito) On the coms "Bro, I told you that you were overreacting! She wasn't gonna do that. How many times am I gonna tell you this?"

(Tony) "Karito don't hack my stuff!"

(Pepper) Looks in shock

(Mark 42) Looks at Pepper

(Pepper) Looks at Mark 42 "What? Thank you for telling me Karito, next time I'm gonna bring you for these arguments."

(Karito) On coms "No problem."

(Tony) "What?"

(Pepper) "Aldrich Killian? What, are you checking up on me?"

(Tony) "Happy was concerned."

(Pepper) "No, you're spying on me."

(Tony) "I wasn't."

(Pepper) "I'm just gonna talk to someone who trusts me. Karito, can you perhaps make one of those apple pies again?"

(Karito) On coms "Yeah, I can."

(Pepper) "Okay good." Starts to leave the lab

(Tony) "Hold on. Come on. Pep?" Sees her going up the stairs "Hey, I admit it." Makes the surrender gesture "My fault. Sorry." Sees Pepper stop in her tracks "I'm a piping hot mess. It's been going on for a while. I haven't said anything. Nothing's been the same since New York."

(Pepper) "Oh, really? I didn't notice that at all."

(Tony) "You experience things and then they're over, and you still can't explain them. Gods, aliens, other dimensions. I'm just a man in a can. The only reason I haven't cracked up is probably because you moved in. And Karito's constant visiting. Which is great. I love you. I'm lucky. But honey, I can't sleep. You go to bed, I come down here. I do what I know. I tinker...I" Sigh "If it wasn't because Karito had to literally knock me out with his powers I would still be 4 days without sleeping. I'm always thinking of imminent threats. And I have to protect the one thing that I can't live without." Points at Pepper "That's you. And Karito keeps me company every time I call him without fail. Hell, I haven't heard him say no to anyone when it's about spending time, he's helped me so much it's insane. And my suits, they're, uh..."

(Pepper) "Machines."

(Tony) "They're part of me."

(Pepper) "A distraction."

(Tony) "Maybe."

Pepper approached Tony with a sense of warmth and tenderness, her presence filling the space with a comforting energy. As she reached him, she enveloped him in a gentle embrace, their bodies connecting in a moment of intimate connection. Time seemed to momentarily stand still as they held each other, a silent exchange of love and support. The world outside faded away, leaving only the two of them in that tender embrace. Gradually, they released their hold, their hands lingering for a moment before parting. The unspoken affection between them lingered in the air.

(Pepper) "I'm gonna take a shower."

(Tony) "Okay."

(Pepper) "And you're going to join me. After that, we will eat Karito's apple pie and head to bed."

(Tony) "Better."

As the night wore on, sleep eluded Tony, replaced instead by a tumultuous stream of nightmares. Beads of perspiration formed on his forehead as his subconscious conjured vivid scenes of battle, with explosions reverberating in his ears and the weight of responsibility bearing down on him. In his dream, he fought valiantly against relentless alien adversaries, his armor serving as a shield against the onslaught. Yet, the tide turned, and the once triumphant hero found himself overpowered and vulnerable. The nightmare unfolded in relentless detail, his armor pierced and his mobility compromised, leaving him trapped and at the mercy of his foes. Each vivid image intensified his discomfort, causing Tony to groan and toss in his sleep.

Sensing her partner's distress, Pepper roused from her own slumber, concern etching her features. With gentle persistence, she reached out to Tony, her voice filled with soothing reassurance. Yet, his agitation persisted, his gasps growing more pronounced. Filled with mounting worry, Pepper resorted to summoning Karito, knowing his presence and expertise could provide the assistance Tony needed.

In a swift response to Pepper's plea, Karito sprang into action, propelled by a sense of urgency. Racing through the corridors, he arrived at Tony and Pepper's room, witnessing the Mark 42 suit gripping Pepper's hand in its metallic grasp. Without hesitation, Karito launched himself at the suit, swiftly immobilizing it and accessing the core. His mastery of hacking skills allowed him to gain control, shutting down the suit and bringing an end to the tumultuous episode.

Tony, now jolted awake from the grip of his nightmares, struggled to catch his breath. The room was filled with a mixture of relief and tension as Pepper's worried gaze locked onto him, her voice filled with a mix of care and apprehension. The ordeal had left its mark, both physically and emotionally, and the aftermath lingered in the room.

(Tony) "I must have called it in my sleep. That's not supposed to happen." Still shaken by his dreams he slowly gets off the bed "I'll recalibrate the sensors...Can we just...just let me..." He sees Pepper leave their room now scared of what happened "Just let me catch my breath. Hey, don't... Don't go. All right? Pepper..."

(Pepper) Walks around frantically "I'm going to sleep downstairs. Tinker with that."

Pepper gracefully moved past Karito, leaving him and Tony in a momentary solitude within the confines of the room.

(Karito) "Tony..."

(Tony) "I know what you're going to say!"

(Karito) "Then what the fuck?! Do you need me to knock you out?"

(Tony) "I don't know! I...I'm just going to fix this...I can't sleep...not after what just happened."

(Karito) Sigh "Fine, I'm going back to bed then."

Karito quietly exited the room, his mind filled with a mix of concern and uncertainty. The weight of Tony's PTSD weighed heavily on his conscience, a responsibility he felt ill-prepared for. Yet, he understood the importance of addressing the matter with the utmost care and consideration.

As he walked away, Karito brought his hand to his face in a gesture of contemplation. The intricate web of emotions and complexities surrounding Tony's condition lingered in his thoughts. He acknowledged his own limitations in navigating the realm of PTSD, recognizing that it would require a measured approach and further education.

However, the late hour and the exhaustion that clung to his weary frame prompted Karito to set aside these musings for the time being. He made a mental note to delve into the subject in the morning, equipped with fresh perspective and a renewed determination to support Tony in the most effective way possible. With that resolve in mind, Karito succumbed to sleep, knowing that tomorrow would bring new opportunities for understanding and growth.

Just a few hours later...

Karito stirred from his slumber, roused by the sound of his door creaking open. His eyes slowly fluttered open, adjusting to the dimly lit room. He could sense a presence, an intruder encroaching upon his personal space.

(Tony) "Get up, we are leaving."

(Karito) Trying to wake up "H-Huh? Where?"

(Tony) "There was an explosion and Happy was in it."

(Karito) Adrenaline kicks in "WHAT?!"

(Tony) "Quiet! Do you wanna wake up Pepper?"

(Karito) "No."

(Tony) "Then let's go."

As the first light of dawn bathed the hospital corridors in a soft glow, Karito and Tony arrived at the room where Happy lay, his body bearing the visible marks of a harrowing ordeal. The sight of Happy's injuries sent a shockwave of concern through their beings, an unspoken understanding of the pain and suffering he must have endured.

Their hearts heavy with worry, they approached the room, prepared to confront the reality of Happy's condition. But as they reached the entrance, they were met with an unexpected restriction—a rule that only permitted one person to remain by Happy's side. In a selfless act of compassion, Karito volunteered to step aside, recognizing the significance of Tony's presence in such a crucial moment.

Reluctantly, Karito bid them farewell, turning away from the hospital room. With each step he took, the weight of his decision settled upon him, mingling with a sense of longing to provide comfort to his friend. Yet, he understood the importance of allowing Tony the space and opportunity to offer solace to someone who had been a steadfast companion in his life.

Returning to the mansion on foot, the morning sunlight cast elongated shadows along Karito's path. Fatigue tugged at his weary frame, but he resisted the urge to seek respite in slumber. Instead, he resolved to channel his energy into a gesture of care and nurturing, preparing a hearty breakfast for those he cherished.

As he busied himself in the kitchen, the aromas of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air, intermingling with the lingering concern for his friends. He knew that nourishing their bodies with a warm meal was a small but meaningful way to provide comfort during these trying times.

Meanwhile, Tony remained steadfast at Happy's bedside throughout the night, his gaze unwavering as he watched over his injured friend. When a nurse entered the room, her intentions veered towards shutting off the television, seeking to impose a sense of tranquility. However, Tony's presence disrupted her intentions, a testament to his unwavering determination to remain connected to the world outside.

With a firm yet gentle voice, Tony intervened, kindly requesting that the television continue to fill the room with its comforting glow.

(Tony) "Do you mind leaving that on?"

(Nurse) "Um... Sure."

(Tony) Gets up and slowly walks to the exit "Sunday nights. PBS. downtown Abbey. That's his show. He thinks it's elegant... One more thing. Make sure everyone wears their badges. He's a stickler for that sort of thing. Pluss, my guys won't let anyone in without them." He now exits the room and heads to the hospital's exit

Outside the hospital...

(Reporter) "We're awaiting the arrival of Tony Stark. We're hoping he'll give us the reaction. His reaction to the latest attack." Hears the rest of the reporters start clamoring and she notices Tony's appearance and rushes at him

As the swarm of reporters closed in on Tony, their relentless pursuit of information creating a cacophony of voices, he pressed on with resolute determination. The barrage of questions, some trivial and others probing, seemed to blur into a jumble of noise that threatened to overwhelm his senses. Yet, he maintained his composure, his gaze fixed on the path ahead.

Amongst the sea of reporters, one voice rose above the rest—a bold and audacious journalist who dared to pose a question that pierced through the background noise. The weight of her inquiry hung in the air, demanding attention and eliciting a pause in Tony's stride.

(Reporter) "Hey, Mr. Stark. When is somebody gonna kill this guy?" Tony turns to face him and has an angry look "I'm just saying."

(Tony) "Is that what you want?" Makes a pause before continuing "Here's a little holiday greeting I've been wanting to send to the Mandarin. I just didn't know how to phrase it until now. My name is Tony Stark and I'm not afraid of you. I know you're a coward. So I've decided..." Takes his sunglasses off "that you just died, pal. I'm gonna come to get the body. There's no politics here. It's just good old-fashioned revenge. There's no Pentagon, it's just you and me. And on the off chance you're a man, here's my home address. 10880 Malibu Point. 90265. I'll leave the door unlocked." Grabs the reporter's phone "That's what you wanted, right?" Throws the phone and breaks it "Bill me."

As Tony eased himself into the plush leather seat of his sleek car, a sense of liberation enveloped him. The familiar hum of the engine, a melodic symphony of power and precision, resonated through the vehicle as he embarked on his journey homeward. The cacophony of voices and probing questions from the reporters gradually faded into the distance, their inquiries left suspended in the air like unspoken echoes.

The drive back to his residence was a contemplative one, the passing scenery a blur of muted colors against the backdrop of his thoughts. The weight of the encounter with the relentless press still lingered, intermingling with the complexities of his own introspections.

Upon reaching the sanctuary of his home, Tony found himself face to face with Karito, his trusted friend and superhero. A subtle tension hung in the air, a reflection of Karito's restrained unease. The lines on Tony's face etched deeper, conveying a mixture of weariness and resolve.

(Karito) "Why the fuck would you give a man with an organization your home address?!"

(Tony) "Because I can take him. Pluss your here too."

(Karito) "Huh?! W-Wha-?! FUCK!" Facepalms

(Tony) "You never let down a friend so, help me?"

(Karito) Sighs "Fine..."

With a shared purpose, Tony and Karito descended into the depths of the lab, surrounded by the hum of machinery and the soft glow of screens. Determination etched upon their faces, they embarked on a quest for answers, delving into the vast realms of information at their fingertips.

Their fingers danced across keyboards, navigating through digital landscapes teeming with hidden truths and concealed identities. Lines of code blurred before their eyes as they meticulously unraveled the intricate web of secrets surrounding the enigmatic figure known as the Mandarin.

(Jarvis) "I've compiled a Mandarin database for you, sir, drawn from S.H.I.E.L.D, FBI and CIA intercepts... Initiating virtual crime scene reconstruction."

With calculated precision, Karito reached out to the holographic interface, manipulating the digital realm with deft movements of his fingers. As if conjured from thin air, a three-dimensional reconstruction materialized in the heart of the lab, an ethereal manifestation of the grim reality they sought to unravel.

The hologram stood as a haunting testament to the devastation wrought by their adversary. Every intricate detail, from the shattered remnants of buildings to the anguished faces of the fallen, was meticulously captured within the holographic tableau. It served as a chilling reminder of the cost inflicted upon innocent lives and the urgent need for justice to be served.

(Tony) "Okay. What have we got here?"

(Karito) "Well for what I got... The name is an ancient Chinese war mantle meaning "advisor to the king." ... South American insurgence tactics... Some bullshit about a Baptist preacher... There's a lot of pageantries here, and also the theater close."

(Javis) "The heat from the blast was in excess of 3,000 degrees Celsius. Any subject within 12.5 yards was vaporized instantly."

(Tony) "And no bomb parts found in a three-mile radius of the Chinese Theatre?"

(Jarvis) "No, sir."

(Tony) "Talk to me, Happy." A hologram of Happy in the explosion was shown

Guided by the meticulous calculations of Jarvis, the advanced artificial intelligence that served as his digital companion, Tony Stark's sharp gaze traced the intricate lines connecting the features of Happy's face to a precise location. With unwavering determination, he embarked on a quest for answers, delving into the vast array of data at his disposal.

(Tony) "When is a bomb not a bomb?"

(Karito) "I have a feeling this is super-powered related."

(Tony) "What do you mean?"

(Karito) "I think someone either has the ability to create explosions or make someone explode."

(Tony) "You sound ridiculous you know that?"

(Karito) "And an army of aliens isn't it?"

(Tony) "Point taken." Finds a hologram of dog tags, he grabs the evidence, and displays it in the air "Any military victims?"

(Jarvis) "Not according to public record, sir."

(Tony) "Bring up the thermogenic signatures again..." Starts to climb up some boxes to get a better view of a display of all of America "...Factor in 3,000 degrees."

(Jarvis) "The Oracle cloud has completed analysis... Accessing satellites and plotting the last 12 months of thermogenic occurrences now."

(Tony) "Take away everywhere that there's been a Mandarin attack." Many levels of thermogenic have dropped only displaying 11 levels

Tony's sharp eyes scanned the array of displays, each one showing a different location with its corresponding heat signature. He meticulously analyzed the data, his mind working at a rapid pace. San Rafael, California, with a heat signature of 1,310 degrees Celsius, didn't raise any alarms. Springfield, Missouri, displayed a temperature of 870 degrees Celsius, which seemed within the expected range.

But then, Tony's gaze shifted to a particular display that stood out from the rest. It showed a location marked by an unusually high heat signature, far surpassing any other reading on the screen. The numbers flickered, indicating a staggering temperature that demanded his attention.

Karito, always attentive to the details, immediately recognized the significance of this anomaly. He pointed it out to Tony, who narrowed his focus on the display, diving deeper into the data to unravel the mystery behind the intense heat emanating from that specific location.

(Karito) "There's an ongoing investigation in Rose Hill Tennessee, with a heat signature of 3,000 C."

(Tony) "Are you sure it's not one of his?"

(Jarvis) "It predates any known Mandarin attack. The incident was the use of a bomb to assist a suicide."

(Tony) "Pass it over, Karito."

(Karito) Tosses the hologram to Tony and more evidence pops up

(Jarvis) "The heat signature is remarkably similar. Like Mr. Karito said, 3,000 degrees Celsius."

(Karito) "And it's two military guys."

(Tony) "Ever been to Tennessee, Karito."

(Karito) "Nope, but I bet I'm about to."

(Tony) "Exactly. Jarvis?"

(Jarvis) "Creating a flight plan for Tennessee."

Karito, his curiosity piqued by the unusual heat signature, stepped purposefully toward the center of the hologram display. With a determined look in his eyes, he clenched his fist, causing the holographic projection to swiftly descend, as if drawing a curtain over the scene. The sudden motion emphasized the gravity of their findings, sealing off the investigation for the time being.

However, their moment of contemplation was abruptly interrupted by the sound of a doorbell echoing through the lab. Tony and Karito exchanged glances, their attention diverted to the incoming visitor. The holographic display seamlessly transitioned, now showcasing a live video feed of individuals patiently waiting outside Tony's residence, seated comfortably inside a sleek black car.

The enigmatic presence of these individuals hinted at a new development, urging Tony and Karito to swiftly address the unexpected arrival at their doorstep.

(Tony) "Are we still at ding-dong?"

(Karito) "That's on me."

(Tony) "For fucks sake Karito. I threatened a terrorist! We're supposed to be on lockdown! Who is this anyway?"

(Jarvis) "There's only so much I can do, sir... When you give the world's press your home address."

(Karito) "For fucks sake indeed Tony."

(Tony) "Point taken...again."

As Tony and Karito left the confines of the lab, they ascended the staircase and made their way to the upper floor of the house. The tension in the air was palpable as they approached the front door, bracing themselves for the encounter that awaited them.

A woman, her presence commanding attention, entered through the open doorway. Tony, clad in his formidable Mark 42 armor. The metallic suit emanated an air of power and protection, serving as a formidable barrier against the unknown.

Meanwhile, Karito, donning his sleek Spider-Man costume, discreetly adhered to the walls, observing the unfolding scene with a watchful gaze. His presence, masked by shadows, allowed him to maintain a covert vantage point, ready to intervene if the need arose.

(Ironman) "That's alright over there." Sees her and gets disappointed "You're not the Mandarin... Are you? Are you?"

(Spider-Man) "You asked twice, I think she heard you"

(Woman) "You don't remember." Chuckles

(Spider-Man) "Tony I swear if this is another chick you ba-"

(Ironman) "Are you serious? No! I don't know...Maybe?"

(Woman) "Why am I not surprised?"

(Ironman) "Don't take it personally. I don't remember what I had for breakfast."

(Spider-Man) "For a very smart person, you can be quite the dumbass, huh?"

(Ironman) "Not another word from you!"

(Spider-Man) "Sure, sure."

(Woman) "Okay, look, I need to be alone with you, someplace not here. It's urgent."

(Ironman) "Normally, I'd go for that sort of thing, but now I'm in a committed relationship."

(Spider-Man) "Tony, I think she doesn't mean that..." Sees bags fall beside Tony "Oh..fuck."

(Pepper) "Tony? K-...Spider-Man? Is somebody there?"

(Tony) "Yeah. It's Maya Hansen... Old botanist pal that I used to know, barely." Get's close this his ex and whispers "Please don't tell me a 12-year-old kid is waiting in the car that I've never met."

(Maya) "He's 13."

(Spider-Man) Fucking wheezes

(Maya) "No, I need your help."

(Tony) "But, what for? Why now?"

(Maya) "Because I read the papers and frankly, I don't think you'll last the week."

(Tony) "I'll be fine."

(Pepper) Comes down the stairs "I'm sorry, with Happy in the Hospital, I didn't know we were expecting guests."

(Tony) "We weren't"

(Spider-Man) "Ex, am I right?"

(Maya) "Yup."

During an intense and somewhat perplexing minute, the conversation between the trio delved into peculiar and unconventional topics. As words flowed, a blend of intrigue and bewilderment enveloped the atmosphere, leaving Spider-Man unable to contain his amusement. Laughter escaped his lips, a lighthearted response to the unusual circumstances that unfolded before them.

(Pepper) "Yep. Well, you know. You saved yourself a world of pain."

(Tony) "What?"

(Spider-Man) Hysterical laughter

(Maya) "I'm sure."

(Pepper) "Trust me. We're going out of town."

(Tony) "Okay. We've been through this. NOPE!"

(Pepper) "YUP!"

(Tony) "The man says no."

(Pepper) "Immediately and indefinitely."

Amidst the ongoing drama and exchange of words, Spider-Man nonchalantly made his way to the kitchen, a place of solace amidst the chaos. With a sense of calm and composure, he skillfully poured himself a refreshing glass of orange juice. Raising his mask ever so slightly to reveal his mouth, he took a sip, relishing in the cool, citrusy goodness that refreshed his parched throat. The act exuded a subtle tranquility, a momentary respite from the intense situation unfolding before him.

(Pepper) "This is how normal people behave."

(Tony) "I can't protect you out there!"

(Maya) "Is... Is that normal?" Points at the HUGE dog toy beside the stairs

(Tony and Pepper) "YES!"

(Spider-Man) "You have no idea."

(Tony) "It's a big bunny. Relax about it!"

(Spider-Man) "Tony, calm your testosterone bro. You're gonna pop a vein."

(Tony) "COME ON MAN! I GOT IT FOR HER!"

(Pepper) "And I'm aware of that."

(Tony) "You still haven't even told me you liked it."

In a split second, Spider-Man's heightened senses alerted him to imminent danger. His spider-sense tingled with an undeniable urgency, a foreboding signal of impending doom. Swiftly assessing the situation, he turned his gaze towards the outside, witnessing a menacing missile hurtling towards their location. Reacting with remarkable speed and agility, Spider-Man sprang into action, prioritizing the safety of those around him.

In a selfless act, he swiftly propelled Pepper towards the nearest exit, ensuring her swift escape from the imminent danger. With equal swiftness, Spider-Man swiftly shot a web, ensnaring Maya and expertly redirecting her towards safety. The explosive impact of the missile violently rocked the interior of the house, unleashing chaos and destruction in its wake. Both Tony and Spider-Man, despite their best efforts, found themselves directly in the path of the devastating explosion.

The concussive force of the blast propelled them backwards, their bodies forcefully propelled several meters away. Tony, fueled by concern for those around him, instinctively sprang into action, rapidly equipping Pepper with the protective armor. As the dust began to settle, both heroes found themselves amidst the wreckage, their bodies bruised and battered from the impact. Spider-Man, ever resilient, swiftly regained his footing, his acute awareness surveying the crumbling environment.

Taking stock of the perilous situation, Spider-Man's keen eyes recognized the imminent threat of collapsing infrastructure. Tony, momentarily disoriented, found himself perilously positioned beneath a falling section of the ceiling. Without hesitation, Spider-Man interposed himself between Tony and the impending danger, bracing himself for the impact and absorbing the blow with a pained grunt, shielding Tony from harm.

(Spider-man) "AUGH! Get everyone out of here, NOW!"

(Tony) "Yup, on that."

In a devastating turn of events, just as Tony reached for his armor to respond to the escalating danger, a relentless barrage of missiles hammered the structure of the home. The explosive projectiles found their mark with uncanny accuracy, detonating in a cacophony of fiery chaos. The concussive force of the explosions slammed into the faces of both heroes, casting them into a disorienting whirlwind of disarray.

The impact propelled Tony and Spider-Man with tremendous force, hurtling them in opposite directions, like hapless marionettes caught in the grip of a malevolent puppeteer. Their bodies collided with unyielding surfaces, each impact punctuating the destructive symphony unfolding within the crumbling confines of the house.

(Spider-Man) "NGH!"

(Tony) "We need to move!"

(Spider-Man) "FUCK! I'm going!

As chaos engulfed the shattered remains of the once-stately residence, an eerie transformation unfolded before their eyes. From the gaping cracks that cleaved the house in twain emerged colossal metallic appendages, snaking and writhing with malevolent intent. These formidable tentacles, born from the heart of destruction, unleashed a relentless torrent of devastation, wreaking havoc upon anything in their path.

With startling speed and power, one of the colossal appendages seized Spider-Man in its iron grip, hurtling him skyward with a force that shattered through the ceiling. Propelled to dizzying heights, the hapless hero was then sent hurtling back to earth, crashing through the roof and plummeting into the heart of the ravaged laboratory. The onslaught of destruction continued unabated, as a missile found its mark, shattering the windows of the lab and propelling Spider-Man through the shattered glass, his descent abruptly interrupted by the unforgiving ground below.

Meanwhile, Tony Stark, beset by the crumbling structure and the unrelenting assault, fought to maintain his footing amidst the falling debris. The house, now perilously split, threatened to plunge into the tumultuous sea below. Tony's struggle to navigate the treacherous terrain was met with relentless barrages of missiles, launched by the merciless terrorists. With each thunderous impact, the resilient hero weathered the storm, aided by the steady guidance of Jarvis, his ever-faithful companion.

Realizing the urgency of the situation, Tony summoned his suit, an iconic embodiment of his heroic alter ego. The suit, imbued with revolutionary technology, streaked through the chaos, seamlessly integrating with Tony's battered form. With a dazzling display of defensive prowess, the armor shielded him from the onslaught of gunfire, deflecting bullets with calculated precision. Yet, the full might of flight eluded Tony, as he grappled with the realization that the prototype suit required further initialization for combat readiness.

In a race against time and crumbling foundations, Ironman navigated the treacherous landscape, seeking sanctuary in a precarious pocket of relative safety. His indomitable spirit and unwavering determination propelled him forward, even as the world around him threatened to crumble.

As the battle raged on, Spider-Man found himself entangled in a deadly dance with four towering metallic tentacles. Despite his valiant efforts, each blow he dealt was swiftly met with regeneration, as these relentless appendages restored themselves in a matter of seconds. The web-slinger's agile form became a battleground, caught between the unyielding grip of the tentacles and the relentless onslaught of helicopter fire.

In a desperate bid to free himself from this mechanical menace, Spider-Man unleashed his venom-infused punches, shattering the tentacles with raw power. Yet, their resilience proved unyielding as they swiftly reconstructed themselves, mocking the hero's attempts to defeat them. A surge of pain coursed through Spider-Man's body as he was ensnared by one of the tentacles, violently propelled into the metal frame of Tony Stark's luxury car. His anguished cry pierced the air, but determination burned within him as he unleashed his venom-enhanced attacks once more, only to witness the tentacle's mending in mere moments.

Amidst this titanic struggle, Spider-Man's gaze fell upon Ironman's descent into the crumbling laboratory. Summoning his strength, the web-slinger sought refuge, bracing himself against a sturdy pillar. Yet, the relentless assault persisted, as the remaining helicopter launched a barrage of missiles that rained upon the laboratory. Catastrophic destruction ensued, rending the once-secure structure asunder, threatening to cast it into the unforgiving depths of the ocean.

In a desperate attempt to save his fellow hero, Spider-Man extended a webline, reaching out towards Ironman's falling form. However, his noble gesture was abruptly thwarted as the four metallic tentacles snatched him in their iron grip, hurtling him towards the rocky mountainside with unforgiving force. The impact reverberated through his body, leaving him gasping in pain as he was cast into the watery abyss, entangled in a chaotic symphony of debris.

Beneath the waves, Spider-Man fought against the crushing weight of the water, his desperate strokes propelling him towards Ironman, who was ensnared in a perilous tangle of wires. Summoning every ounce of strength, he tore through the constricting cables, freeing Ironman from their suffocating grasp. However, their salvation was short-lived as a colossal chunk of the fallen house crashed down upon them, burying them alive beneath its weight.

In the dim recesses of consciousness, Spider-Man defied the suffocating embrace of debris, struggling to emerge from its oppressive grasp. As if guided by a renewed sense of purpose, Ironman's flight systems surged to life, granting him the means to burst forth from the watery depths. Seizing Spider-Man's imperiled form, Ironman initiated a swift ascent, their escape from the ocean's clutches tantalizingly close. Yet, destiny would intervene with a cruel twist.

A colossal metallic tentacle, rising from the depths like a vengeful specter, ensnared Spider-Man's leg with an iron grip. In a heart-wrenching turn of events, the web-slinger was torn from Ironman's grasp, dragged deeper into the unforgiving depths, lost to the watery abyss.

(Ironman) "KARITO!!!"

(Spider-Man) Gargled "T....T....Y!"

As the relentless metallic tentacles constricted around Spider-Man's form, a primal fear gripped the hero, causing his very being to tremble in terror. In the depths of his eyes, a silent plea for salvation burned brightly, yet the suffocating embrace of the water silenced his cries, leaving only incoherent gargles to escape his lips. Desperation painted across his countenance, a tragic tableau of a hero on the brink of despair.

Ironman, driven by unwavering determination, lunged forward, intent on rescuing his comrade from the clutches of this watery abyss. But fate had a cruel twist in store, as one of the malevolent tentacles struck with unyielding force, propelling Ironman out of the water and launching him skyward, beyond the reach of his imperiled friend.

Helplessly, Spider-Man remained ensnared. With every agonizing tug, the tentacles dragged him deeper into the murky depths, their malevolence shrouded in darkness. The hero's voice, now reduced to a trembling scream, reverberated through the watery abyss, his final plea for salvation echoing in vain.

In an instant, the darkness swallowed Spider-Man whole, as the tentacles, like sinister predators, claimed their prey. The sea offered no solace, no refuge, as the hero's anguished cries dissolved into the abyss, forever lost to the depths of the unforgiving ocean.
