On the Valdis's side :
Valdis checked her super powers and found that her powers are at level 1 and in the future, she can upgrade them with the power stones. The power stones come from the head of the zombies and the higher the level of power stone the rarer it is. Currently, there are no zombies so no power crystals are available and thus it will be challenging for her to upgrade the level of her super powers. With this, her space will be tiny and she will have to decide which things to give priority to store in her space. Although she was a bit dissatisfied with this discovery she planned on training her super powers first so she would not lose her advantage completely.
Valdis looked around her room searching for something that could be transported into her space and saw many things lying on the dressing table. She went near the dressing table closed her eyes and tried to feel the power of her space and then touched the comb on the dressing table and transported it into her space. After a successful attempt, she transported other miscellaneous things lying on the table into the space one by one.
Being successful on the first try is something worth celebrating. Since this was her first time using superpower and a rare space super power at that, it is not easy to control. Space super power is like she is transferring things into the void and not just manipulating nature like other super powers. After transferring things into her space by touching the things she thinks that she might be able to store the things in her space without touching them. To see whether her conjecture was right or not she went near the bedside table. This time she did not touch the phone but just looked at it trying to think that her power was surrounding it and dragging it inside her space. After a few minutes her phone disappeared from the bedside table, she checked her space and it was inside. This discovery made a faint smile appear on her face. Though Valdis is a cheerful girl she likes to keep a cold face and doesn't show much emotion which is why it is rare for her to show a faint smile. This time she smiled twice a day which can show her happiness. After seeing two uses of her space she tried to enter the space herself and she was successful in her attempt. When she entered the space she saw a small room with nothing in it. But she can feel the oxygen in the air so the space might be able to store living things too. When this thought occurred to her, her cellphone received a notification. She saw on the lock screen that she had received an email. Wondering who might send her email at this time she opened it and saw that it was from the same sender from whom she received the novel. So she assumes it was from the system. In the email it is just a single line, 'You can enter your space so can other living things except for other human beings.' After reading this line there was a black line on Valdis's forehead. No one likes to be stalked or mind-read by strangers. Even though the system had not done anything bad till now except for random transportation Valdis was still wary of the system. But she knew currently was no time to ponder over this issue so she focused on her space power.
After confirming the usage of her space and getting familiar with it she leaves the space and starts thinking about how to practice her thunder and ice super power. So Valdis went to the backyard of the house to practice her super powers. There are not many people in the house since Vincent and Valdis don't like to stay with strangers. As for the two aunties who are working full time they went out to buy vegetables to cook and buy other daily necessities. So it is not a problem to practice super powers. The backyard is quite large there is a huge swimming pool in the villa, a garden filled with different types of flowers, and a huge open space full of fresh air in the middle. After taking in her surroundings she tried to create an ice spike in her hand. The power of ice was very weak and she was unable to create the whole ice spike. She tried to understand the principle of why she was able to create ice out of thin air with her powers. The super powers themselves were not scientific but the elements were all natural. Suddenly an idea dawned in her mind which was to use water to create ice. Seeing this Valdis went near the swimming pool and took the water in her hand and used it to create ice. With the support of water, she successfully created an ice spike the length of a fist. The water particles were frozen by her and the size of the ice spike was increased with the help of moisture present in the air. In this way, the power used will decrease and she will be able to create more ice.
Valdis continues to practice making ice by taking the water in her hand after repeatedly practicing like this for hours she is proficient in creating ice but she will still need water sources nearby. In the apocalypse, water sources will be polluted and some of them will dry up due to weather conditions while some of them will be destroyed by the fight between humans, zombies, and other extraordinary creatures. So, it will not be easy, or maybe not possible at all to use them to create ice so she will need to practice making ice without the help of the water. For this, she needed to make plans in advance. The practice of super power today made Valdis exhausted and so she decided to take a break. Due to her consumption of super powers, she became quite hungry which made her understand that the food consumption of those with super powers would be the higher apocalypse. As for relaxation and to deal with her hunger she decided to go outside to have some snacks from this world and to get to know the customs of this world.
