Since Valdis wanted to go out she searched the memory of "Valdis" till now for transportation. Then she found out that she was living in a villa area named "Paradise" where only rich and powerful people stayed. The villa she is staying in is the main villa but around it, there are small villas for servants and together they make a whole unit. In the main villa, only the brother and sister and two aunties stayed. It was not that the rich family didn't have many servants just that they had different villas altogether to keep those people and they could be called whenever needed. There is a system connected in this villa area from where she can connect to side villas from the main villa. There are a total of 3 drivers in the family. One for her brother, one for her, and one who used to work for her father. She called the side villa and asked her driver to ready the car to take her out. She had sorted out the memory of Valdis and figured that in this world there is already a unification of power at the top with a common currency known as Universal Coins (UC) in circulation. She wanted to go out and visit a few malls owned by her family to relax and also have a general idea of the technology and working environment of this world.
Though apocalypse was within sight Valdis didn't think of abandoning any of the aspects related to research. Instead, she was very aware that it was the best time to recruit researchers so that mankind would not lose these precious gems. She wanted the world to still develop and to control the chaos that happened in the novel. Earlier Valdis was thinking of making a name for herself with her ability and did not plan on creating her base. But after she sorted out her memory and the novel sent by the system she changed her plan. She noticed a few things that she had missed earlier.
First of all, Valdis was the daughter of one of the richest men ranking in the top 5 around the world. It was not just about wealth but her father also had huge power. As the saying goes money and power work hand in hand. Valdis's father had three important subordinates who had huge power and were very loyal to him. Before his death, her father had already made arrangements for Valdis. He asked all three loyal subordinates to support Valdis, be loyal to her, and take care of her. After the apocalypse, he heard the news of the death of his two partners and Vincent who he was fond of so he wanted to contact Valdis. But by the time he contacted her, she was already in the base of the male lead's father and was engaged to the male lead. At that time he felt that Valdis did not care about their subordinates at all. So he talked with his remaining group of brothers and then they gave Valdis all the resources they had accumulated through the company and left.
This was just about the available power she had and there was more if her brother was included. The above is one of the reasons that Valdis became interested. But the main reason for her change of plan was in the ending she read in the novel sent by the system was that it was an attack by a higher level civilization who wanted to enter Earth. In the novel, it was not mentioned why they wanted to enter and why they had to use this zombie virus to destroy the earth before they could enter but the protagonist with her harem of powerful men was able to solve this threat. Valdis wanted to change this and also had the high ambition of ushering the world into a new era.
Since she had this high goal she had to collect talented and loyal people in her group. She also had to create a huge safe base with resources and should have enough power to make things work according to her orders. In the apocalyptic days, the words of those with the strength and resources will become the final say. So she decided to create her numerous bases which can store countless resources and also provide a safe environment for everyone to live in. Yes, not a base but a complete chain of bases that will be led by her loyal subordinates according to her orders. For this, she wanted to acquire knowledge and experience of her surrounding environment so she could properly utilize manpower and resources.
Malls in developed cities were one of the easiest ways to observe people from all walks of life and accumulate knowledge of their thinking and spending patterns. Valdis thought of all this in a short few minutes and at this time a car appeared at her gate. Valdis knew from her memory that it was her car and driver. The driver opened the door and Valdis got into the car. Then the car left for the mall.
