Finally, graduation I am free!!. Sorry,I forgot to introduce myself,my name is April vandan, the third and only girl child of my middle class family,and I am a first class degree holder in medicine, and right now I'm on my way to walton for an internship in Boone Enterprises.Ā My plane touched down in Melbourne international airport, Country v. I disembarked from the plane and took out my phone in order to book a taxi that will take me to my hotel room in walton, the capital city of country v.
While I sat in the taxi, I looked through the window,as tears threatened to fall.Ā
Ā I quickly wiped my tears and stared at my phone, quickly pieces of my past came flooding through my mind,my parents, my ex, my mistakes,all of it, but looking through the window, looking at the new atmosphere, the new surroundings,I am filled with hope of a new beginning.
Ā The taxi stopped in front of the hotel,I brought out my purse and paid the driver,I came down from the taxi, brought out my luggages from the trunk of the taxi and made my way inside the hotel. After filling out the required documents, I collected my keys then went to my room.
Ā In my room,I took off my dress and went to the bathroom inorder to take my bath.
Ā After April finished taking her bath, she put on a light flora pattern dress that matched the summer blue sky of Walton. She arranged her clothes in the wardrobe, and her documents on the table, after she was done with the arrangements, she brought out her laptop and began to browse on her immediate environment, thank goodness that the hotel had great Wi-Fi connection, she was able to get information about all she needed in less than six hours.
Ā April came out of the hotel and proceeded to a nearby restaurant, which was three kilometers away from the hotel, April flagged down a taxi and within minutes, she arrived at Ma MĆ son restaurant.
Ā After she finished eating it was already six P.M, April hurried to the bus stop and flagged down a cab, unfortunately, the cab stopped a few kilometers short of the hotel, due to a flat tire, April in a hurry to reach the hotel and sleep in order to be able to get to work on time,came down from the cab paid the money and ran towards an alley that led to the hotel.
Ā She walked quickly and turned on the flash light on her phone,as she walked, she was aware of the fact that she was being followed, she tried as much as she could to lose the trail, but unfortunately she wasn't fast enough,as she was about reaching another street,her follower dragged her into a darker part of the alley. The force in which he dragged her caused her phone to fall to the ground.
Ā "Who...are... you" April asked with fear in her eyes.
Ā "Shhhhhhhh, darling, I'm not gonna hurt you, I just wanna make a few bucks you know, and then try my luck in a casino somewhere, but before then, I might be able to have some fun with you, isn't that right Marco".
Ā "yeah, she's a real beauty, it'll be a waste to just leave her alone". Another man said emerging from the shadows,Ā "Hold her down for me guys" two more men came out from the shadows and pined her to the floor.
Ā "What,help! someone please help me!" April screamed and kicked, but Marco slapped her across the face.
Ā "Shut up you little munchkin, no one is gonna save you, it's just you and us".
Ā "I won't be too sure about that if I were you".
Ā April turned around to see who it was that was talking, she half expected to see either a police officer or another band of rapists, but to her surprise she saw a tall figure wearing white,it looked almost like the Black Panther in the movies, except it was white and it didn't have cat ears.
Ā "And who the fuck are you" Marco asked.
Ā "Oh damn, it's the Silver Ghost, I thought it was just a legend" one of the men spoke.
Ā "Whoever it is, just waste him". As the other gang members tried to attack it with a knife, it moved so fast that no one knew where he was, until it generated claws and began to slice every last one of the gang members.Ā "Are you alright" the Silver Ghost or whatever his name was, asked April,as he scooped her into his arms, it was then that April realized that it was actually a Silver super suit, and not a white one.
Hotel Room,5:50am.
I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock, shit!, I'm gonna be late for work. Just as I was about to get up from the bed, I realized that I was still wearing my flora pattern dress of yesterday, instead of my pyjamas which was strange because I always changed before I slept. Wait!, yesterday, when I was coming back from the restaurant, when I got attacked by those rapists, I began to feel around my body looking for any scar or bruises, but I found none except for the slap that I received.
RING! RING! RING!, my alarm clock rang, shit! six am, I'm gonna be late. I quickly got down from the bed and removed my dress,then headed to the bathroom and had a long hot bath. When I was done bathing,it was already six fifteen,I quickly put on my grey suit, applied some makeup, combed my hair, and brought out my laptop.I was curious about who that so-called Silver Ghost was, as I was about to start my search my eyes caught the time on my laptop, shit, I can't be late to my first day I mean I'm an intern for crying out loud. I quickly arranged my working materials, and I called the help service of the hotel and asked for my breakfast to be served in my room, within 10 minutes my breakfast arrived, it was a beautiful delicacy comprising of bread, butter, a smoothie, ham,and a plate of small fruits. "What's this" I asked "oh nothing it's just that the hotel manager asked me or rather asked us to serve fruits to all our guest". I quickly wolfed down my breakfast and took my bag and my purse, wait!, my phone, where is my phone,I I dropped my bag down and began to search for my phone, to my surprise I saw my phone resting on my alarm clock, I checked to see if it was broken until I realised that this wasn't my phone it was a new one but with my SIM card inside I was confused until I saw a note which said:" Your phone got broken bye those rapist , I replaced it for you I hope you don't mind, all your contacts are intact so are your photos, everything is intact the only difference is, it's a new phone". I was dumbfounded but I quickly shelved that aside I was late for work it was already six thirty, I took my bag and my new phone outside I use my new phone to order an uber and within 15 minutes the Uber came.
As we zoomed past many buildings, my mind went back to my new phone, who was that that saved me, I was confused, I remembered hearing a gang member call him or it the Silver Ghost but who is the Silver Ghost was he the one who saved me, I'm so confused. Before I could think of any other thing the radio in the cab was talking about a murder out in Winston alley,wait! is it that the alley I passed through yesterday, the news reporter said that 6 gang members were killed yesterday, they were found with their throat ripped open. I shuddered at the thought, the uber driver just sighed and shook his head. The news reporter said they are still trying to gather witnesses as to what really happened, some say it was another unnecessary act done by the unruly so-called vigilante of Walton known as the Silver Ghost, the Silver Ghost ,I was surprised, I asked the taxi driver, "Sir please who is the Silver Ghost" " You don't know who the Silver Ghost is" he asked me surprised "no I don't" I replied "I'm New here" " no wonder" he said "well dear the Silver Ghost is a criminal, a bloodthirsty maniac who thinks he's saving everyone I mean look at what happened to this gang members I know they are bad and all but you don't expect them to change when you cut out their throats, dear I mean this is just small compared to what he has done over the past few years he once pushed a man off a 3 story building claiming that the man wanted to set off a bomb on the city but you know what I think the guy or the Silver Ghost is just using the fact that he's a vigilante to sponsor his killing spree that guy is bad news, I mean who knows what the gang members even did that he just cut their throat off a true hero would have just put them in prison not kill them, I mean he's no better than them now" I just nodded and sighed, is this taxi driver right or is he miss understanding the Silver Ghost. "But why do you think that he's a criminal" "hell kid everyone in this god damn town thinks he's a criminal in fact know he's a criminal I mean a superhero is not as bloodthirsty , I mean look at central City they got the flash, even if it's just a movie I mean that guy never killed one soul but I bet you this so-called Silver Ghost has much more body count than the god damn mafia".
