~ Cal's POV ~
She looks at me from where her head lay on my chest. It's almost as if I can see the question marks in her eyes. Some of her hair sticks to her cheek, the rest tucked under the hood of my hoodie.
I can't believe she kept it on the entire day...
Without putting a second of thought into the action, I lift my hand and remove the stray strands from her face, which earns me a puzzled look from her. I almost giggle at the sight, but manage to restrain myself. Kim Maleah truly has the cutest facial expressions I've ever seen - it's why I keep teasing and pushing her buttons.
I shouldn't, but where's the fun in playing it safe?
At the thought of playing it safe, I'm viciously remember what type of situation I'm in. A deep sigh comes from my chest, and I look back at the ceiling again. It's peaceful when I do. Not problem solving peaceful, but it distracts me enough since my eyes always get drawn to the few cobwebs in the corners and around the bulb hanging above us.
