The world was divided into several continents. Asia, Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Europe, and Australia. But one day, everyone got teleported somewhere and met with a creature of the unknown.
Once sent back, the world has changed. The continent merges into two continents, splitting the world, with a massive sea of water separating them.
Not only the continent but a change in the population could also be seen very clearly. All the elderly and little kids have disappeared, leaving only teens and adults across the now-merged globe.
After the world combined with the fiction-like world, monsters appeared, and safe zones with local people from the other world also started appearing.
Mysteriously, they all now speak and understand the same language, though they know the language is nothing like they have ever heard before.
All the people in the world wished for peace, so when both parties from the old Earth and the fictional Earth met, they decided to join forces and defeat as much of the monster as possible.
Some of the humans from the old world manage to become 'Players.'
These chosen players are granted jobs and sets of skills complementing their jobs.
The requirements of getting a job are still unknown, but rumor says that if someone wholeheartedly wishes for something, a corresponding 'job' will be given.
Most of the remaining humans from the real world are trying their best to adapt to the new merged world. They decided to look for the largest safe zone in the world and found 'Avalon' as their temporary place to slowly recover from the world tragedies that befall them.
The place gave them hope and solace for the future ahead. Some became famous adventurers, creating guilds and protecting people in need.
Several new guilds emerged after the incident, one of which has become one of the largest.
The Army guild, a combination of the remaining army of the old world, becoming one, utilizing their rifles and tanks to defend and attack any approaching enemies. The guild also produced some A-class adventurers with the potential to become S-class in the future.
Their guild base consists of shelters to help those who have trauma from the things they went through, as well as homes for general adventurers and soldiers members of the guild.
Things started to look up for them, and they saw hope for the first time since the accident happened.
But their dream was still too far. After a month of the world merging, suddenly, a massive tower emerged from the ground, with height piercing the clouds above.
They deployed some of their soldiers to take on the tower, hoping to clear it as soon as possible, only to be crushed by the difficulty.
They realized that rifles couldn't finish the job anymore. They needed more firepower, like superpowers or jobs.
Among the people rescued there, some obtain a job by pure chance. They are recruited with the hopes that they will help defeat more powerful opponents like the bosses of the towers.
Though the humanities of the original world are still struggling, they will continue improving their roster and making them better by the day.
Zaine, on the other hand, finally joined the number one guild of the Avalon, called 'Knights Order'.
After the audience with the king and leader of the 'Knights Order', Zaine and his group got escorts around the kingdom, where their new guild home base is located.
The escort is one of the secretaries of the guild and one of the knights. She carefully walks through them around the place and entertains them with the stuff the kingdom has to offer.
Amy and Albus look excited as they're shown the overall magnificent exterior and interior.
They finally arrive at their assigned home, and the knight bids them farewell before returning to the throne room.
"It's all so beautiful here!" Amy admires the place with a satisfied smile on her face.
"Sparkly, shiny!" Albus also commented on the place.
'It is indeed a very magnificent place. I guess they gave their members great treatment for the dangerous events they had to go through.' Zaine thought to himself.
The house they provided is one-story with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It also has a comfortable living room and dining hall with a chandelier hanging above it.
The place is also filled with windows, allowing the sun to enter and brighten the inside, complementing it with the broad view of Avalon Island, making the house even more beautiful.
Zaine went inside one of the bedrooms and lay down. He looked at the ceiling, a pure white color made of what looked like expensive foreign wood. He thinks about all the journeys that he has gone through until now.
He closes his eyes, thinking about other choices he could have taken as he wonders how far this life will take him.
Zaine was just about to drift off until he heard a call from Amy.
"Come on, Zaine. Let's continue our journey. The day is still long!"
Zaine notices that Amy and Albus have grown even closer, and a pleasant smile appears on Zaine's mouth.
"Alright, let's go."
...
Zaine and his group make their way to the guild hall. He could feel the gaze of other people looking at him.
He ignored them and continued his walk before being abruptly stopped by tough-looking adventurers.
Without hesitation, the guy swings his hand, filled with jealousy. Albus stepped up and caught the hand mid-swing, which made him flinch.
Zaine did not expect someone to attack him like that, his face unfazed, but inside, he was shocked.
Thankfully, Albus is there to protect him. Being overwhelmed by Albus and realizing the difference in power, the tough-looking adventurer decides to run for it.
