Atlas, the day they've all been waiting for. Everyone wanted to see Luna Valeria.
Many were curious to know what her second son would look like. They wondered if he would also have that godly beauty like her first son, Reginald.
"Everand just called, he said they'll be here soon." Phoebe announced to everyone in the room and they grew more excited.
Amelia got too restless so she decided to head out.
"Where are you going Amelia?" Spencer questioned her and she quickly explained.
"Wanna try to relax before coming face to face with her...could you call me when they arrive?"
Spencer was reluctant but he still agreed and she happily got outside and strolled amongst the people. She heard so many stories about how strong Reginald's mother was. HER BLOOD alone brought back dead people and also killed them.
Her grandmother, Rehab and Philomena, the mother of Lewis, were living proof of being brought back to life by her blood. Her nervousness heightened and she looked for a quiet spot to relax. She sat under a lonely tree which served as a shield for a very long time.
She missed Reginald, she was used to escorting and always standing beside him. She smiled when she recalled their last goodbyes until they meet again.
Suddenly, she heard noises of people and it was loud enough. Her phone rang and when she saw Spencer's name appear on her phone screen, she stilled. So they had already arrived?
She stood up hastily and straightened her perfectly fitted gown. She took her precious time to walk back to the noisy place but she suddenly froze in place, her senses heightened and she sniffed the air with closed eyes.
Her heart raced and her restlessness increased. She could smell Reginald's scent, but it wasn't exactly his...this one was stronger and it drove her crazy.
She wanted to hold and trap the sweet glorious scent that drove her wild. Her eye color darkened and she hurried over in the direction of the scent.
Her body and nerves were very much aware of this scent, they wanted to see who had such a mind blowing scent.
She pushed through the crowd but they kept blocking her way and it frustrated and infuriated her. She wanted to use her powers on them but she knew she couldn't.
She had to run around, back to where she had followed the first time. She removed her heels and ran like a teenage girl, following the scent. It was becoming stronger and stronger. Her beast wanted to break free, it was jubiliating.
Amelia didn't mind dirtying her feet, all she knew was that she must get to the source emitting such scent.
She got to the mansion's entrance which was less crowded. She was acting crazy which was very unusual of her as she was always elegant and well composed but today was something else.
She rushed up the grand stairs, went through the open doors where two guards stood by. Their eyes narrowed when they saw her rush in like a mad woman.
"Is anything the matter lady Amelia?" One of them questioned but she didn't answer.
When she got in, she sniffed the air and her beast danced in joy. She was close to the source, very close.
Amelia rushed upstairs, she didn't bother taking the elevator. She used her speed and soon she found her way into the upper floor.
Everyone's eyes turned to look at her because they sensed her presence, it was loud.
"Amelia...what happened?" It was her mother who first spoke up, she was surprised.
Amelia ignored her, her eyes held one person's eyes who stared back at her with the same intensity.
Amelia caught her breath...she couldn't believe it, the person was BREATHTAKING!!!
His sky blue eyes were bright and full of life, his face took her breath away. She couldn't take her eyes off him, he was like a magnet pulling her.
"Amelia?" Someone called her but she didn't look at the person. She slowly took a step in the direction of the young man she was staring at.
Spencer followed her line of sight and when he saw whom she was looking at with such intensity and longing...he froze.
The young man she was staring at also couldn't take his eyes off her, he was in awe and still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he finally found his soulmate.
She was wild, breathtaking and gorgeous. He wanted to sink his fangs into her delicate neck and make her his. When he entered the mansion he was restless, the only scent that caught his senses was hers...
*
He had just returned from a serious meeting and a few minutes from now he would get ready for a small party held by a wealthy businessman who partnered with him a long time ago.
Reginald stood in front of his wide mirror which was in his room. As he buttoned his white long sleeve shirt, he remembered Amelia and recalled all the moments they shared together.
He was used to her buttoning his shirt and giving him sweet kisses. Reginald was never a fan of parties, it was always Amelia who insisted he went and she always tagged along.
He ran his fingers through his long black hair and tried to bring his mind back.
Ever since she left his side she never texted or called him which was not normal.
He picked up his phone from the table and turned it on to check what the time was. He planned to be late, after all he never intended to go if not for Amelia's voice in his head.
Was he obsessed with her?
This was not the first time he asked himself this question. He shook his head and casually picked up his suit jacket which he hung around his shoulder.
He took his time to walk out of the room and enter the elevator which took him to the last floor.
When it stopped and opened for him to step out, a young lady stared at him in shock. Her lips parted as if she wanted to say something but couldn't.
He knew why she stared at him like that, so to help her out, he winked and gave her one of his seductive smiles before walking past her.
She had to turn and watch him leave, he was one of the youngest wealthiest businessmen...to top it all, he was damn gorgeous.
His bodyguards sighted him and quickly came to his side but at a good distance.
Reginald noticed how eyes followed him, it irritated him so much but he simply ignored them and got out of the building.
As usual, a limousine was prepared for him, his chauffeur opened the door for him and he didn't hesitate even for a bit. When he got in, the door was shut behind him.
These last few days he had been thinking a lot and yet still no answer came. He wanted peace but he knew he couldn't have it...sooner or later, things will change for the worse and he wasn't ready for that.
The limousine drove smoothly on the noisy road. Reginald wanted to keep things low-key so he ordered his bodyguards to take one car to accompany him, he didn't want much attention.
The night was beautiful, if only Amelia was here with him to spend it with.
It took five minutes before they finally pulled up beside a luxurious skyscraper.
A young man standing at the entrance of the building quickly hurried to open the car door for the very important guest.
Reginald nonchalantly stepped out with a serious face.
"Welcome sir."
The man welcomed him and he nodded in appreciation before walking by himself. He didn't need his bodyguard, they already had it in mind how he disliked people clinging to him...only Amelia had that right.
"You made it! I got scared knowing how you hate parties." A man in his early forties approached him with a wide smile, he wore a dark gray suit and had a glass of alcohol in his left hand.
More guests flooded him, they couldn't help but glance at their direction. They couldn't take their eyes off Reginald even though he didn't dress to please.
Women found this as an opportunity to get close to him since they couldn't find his woman beside him which was Amelia.
"What other choice do I have," came Reginald's dull response and the man smiled widely. They both strolled into the main floor where the grand party was held.
To rich people, grand was small...
Extravagant was huge...
The chattering got louder, people interacting with each other. Music played cooly, making the mood more comfortable.
"An honour to have you here Mr Reginald." Someone welcomed him, it was a woman clad in wild style, her make-up was pretty but heavy.
Reginald simply nodded and found his way over to where tumblers of rich wine were arranged like a mountain. He took one and had a sip from it.
It was a strong wine, the taste lingered long on his tongue...but not long enough. He needed something more, it had been a long time ever since he had blood.
Many eyes watched him, mostly women, they didn't want to let him off their sight since they couldn't approach him because he was aloof.
Many business men who partnered with him came to greet him and congratulate him on how successful he had gotten.
He was surrounded by men who were accompanied by women clinging onto them so they could be close to him.
However, a heavy restlessness rested on Reginald. It suddenly felt so hard to breathe but he covered it up, his senses heightened and his nose picked up a very unique scent…
