"We were more than just friends."
Aaron felt hurt and slightly annoyed…not slightly but deeply annoyed.
Reginald noticed how his stepbrother's expression darkened.
"This was completely unforeseen…or maybe it was foreseen, none of us is at fault Aaron. None of us knew this would happen."
Reginald had a dull expression and he could sense Aaron's distaste towards everything.
"What do you mean by foreseen?"
"Ask your mother," came Reginald's carefree response.
Aaron's eyes hardened and he became cold like an ice block.
"Wow, it seems like you inherited something huge from your father." Reginald was amazed because Ice was his stepfather's main ability.
"She knew?" Aaron returned back to the previous discussion, ignoring Reginald's comment on his ability.
"This is just your first Aaron, you shouldn't get angry with her." Reginald advised him but it didn't help ease his mind.
"Easy for you to say, though I'm also really mad at you."
Aaron complained with a furious look on his face and Reginald nodded.
"How did you find out?" He wanted to know. Aaron glanced at him briefly while still walking, he was damn angry.
"Spotted you looking hurt and heartbroken when I was at this same field with Amelia. When you appeared in the room I noticed how her expression turned a bit nervous and uneasy…seems like mom knows a lot."
Aaron sighed and slipped his cold hands into his pockets. He clenched his jaws as he spoke again.
"Do me a favor, stay away from her."
Reginald didn't say a word to what Aaron said, after all he made a vow with Amelia that he would let go once she found her mate.
"How much do you love mother?"
Reginald's left eye twitched when he asked that question because Aaron had all the motherly love.
"A lot. She went through so much, you know. I know you're not on good terms with her but…give her a chance…she's still your mother."
Reginald gritted his teeth and his face hardened as he spoke with a distant look.
"I told her to watch his back and she promised, do you know how painful it is to find out that she knew all along what would happen…she saw it in her vision but did nothing to stop it."
He clenched his hand to fist, he was slowly losing his peace and he didn't want to.
"I'm sorry," came Aaron's soothing words and silence took over for a little while.
"I won't disturb your relationship, you need not bother about that." Reginald assured Aaron and he nodded his head.

Amelia's eyes were wide in worry when Reginald vanished along with his stepbrother.
Everand sighed, he could only hope they wouldn't do something stupid. He went and sat down beside Amelia.
"Is everything alright? You both seem tense."
Rehab stood up and came to stand in front of Everand and Amelia while Valeria silently watched them.
"Nothing grandma, everything's fine."
Amelia lied and Everand nodded in agreement with her. Spencer was about to leave when Amelia quickly stood up and went to meet him.
She grabbed his arm and pulled him along with her.
Rehab chuckled and sat in-between Valeria and Everand. Valeria had a composed and cheerful look as always while Everand was the opposite, he had a worried look.
"Everything will be fine, nothing bad will happen. We can change the future since it's not yet lived."
"Not everything can be changed Rehab, this one can't be." Valeria's face fell when she made that statement. Her heart felt heavy and tears clouded her eyes.
Everand felt her emotions and he quickly stood up and went to her side.
"When last did your guardian angel speak to you, Valeria?"
Japheth decided to question her. He felt sad and angry but what could he do?…nothing.
"Two weeks ago," came her sober reply.
"What did he say?" Rehab had a curious look.
"...he said, I should avoid Dracula at all cost when he returns, because…if I ever cross paths with him, everything will go wrong."
Japheth and Rehab had a grave look, they hated that man so much. He was full of shit!
Everand didn't say a word, his heart had always been heavy ever since he found out what would happen in the future. He had to learn to accept it, that was the only way.
"And those demons lurking about?" Rehab felt restless and uncomfortable with everything that was yet to happen.
Why Rehab asked that question was because it was Valeria's duty to return every lurking demon on earth back to hell, after all she was a warrior angel.
"For now my guardian angel is handling them." Valeria assured Everand's mother and she felt a little bit at ease.
"We have to be extra careful from now onwards and alert." Japheth warned, he didn't want them to be caught unawares.

"What did he tell you Spencer?"
Amelia threw daggers at him with her eyes, she was annoyed and he could see it.
He darted his eyes about as if he was nervous, just to get under Amelia's nerves.
"SPENCER!"
"What? You know him better, so what do you think he's up to?"
"NO GOOD," came Amelia's straight answer. Spencer burst into laughter, he never expected that to be her answer.
"I'm sure he got everything under control Amelly." He patted her left cheek and she swatted his hand away furiously.
"You know how he is Spencer, stop defending him."
Amelia warned and Spencer chuckled lightly…how he wish to find his own mate.
"Can you believe Desmond's mate disappeared for a long time?" Spencer purposely changed the topic and it angered Amelia and frustrated her the more.
"Be serious Spencer…"
"I am, Amelly…can't you see that there's something fishy about Desmond and his mate…who could she even be? Maybe she's hideous to look at, that's why she went into hiding…"
"Fuck you Spencer, you're being ridiculous right now."
Amelia punched him hard at his chest, causing him to cough heavily.
"What if his mate is Angelina…what if she's the one all these while, now that's a good way to explain the hidden child…they're hiding her."
Amelia wanted to scold him for saying nonsense but what he said did make sense.
'Could Angelina be his lover? That explains why they're so close,' she thought to herself.
"Exactly Amelia, that's what I also thought about."
Spencer answered and her eyes went wide in surprise but it was quickly replaced with anger.
"What's wrong with you Spencer! Why will you invade my privacy like that?"
"Because you left it open for me to hear Amelia…you really need to guard your thoughts from spilling out." Spencer yelled back at her and she remained quiet.
"But why will they hide her?...I'm sure she must be my age by now."
"That, I don't know…with time we'll get to the bottom of this mysterious puzzle."
"What mysterious puzzle?"
Their heads swiftly turned in the direction of the voice and Amelia tried hard to compose herself.
She wondered why nowadays she couldn't compose herself anymore. She was becoming more childish instead of being mature and it annoyed her so much.
Reginald's eyes held hers unwaveringly and it irked her, he was really good at making her speechless.
"Are you alright, Amelia?"
Aaron came to her and placed his hand on her arm.
God! Her mate was something else, just his touch sent her to ecstasy. She felt hot and embarrassed at the awkwardness. She was blushing profusely.
'Oh God help me,' Amelia said in her mind.
"Come now dear, let's go somewhere more refreshing."
Aaron suggested and she quickly accepted it, she couldn't bear to embarrass herself more, she was definitely sure Reginald would be laughing hard at her internally.
"Congratulations, Amelia."
Reginald congratulated her before she could sprint off. She turned her head and gazed back at him.
"Thank you alpha," she smiled brightly at him and Reginald's eyes narrowed at her, he knew how well she could compose herself.
After saying that, she left with Aaron.
"Aren't they cute?"
Spencer stood beside Reginald and spoke with a sigh. The show they displayed thrilled him, even though it was brief.
"Does he know?"
"Yes," came Reginald's blunt reply as he kept staring at the couple.
"Is he ok with it?"
"No man will ever be ok with that, Spencer." Reginald told Spencer with a serious voice and faced him once the couple were out of sight.
"Tomorrow morning we leave for the blue moon pack, make sure everything you need is already packed."
"Why in a hurry Alpha Reginald, is everything alright?"
"The earlier the better Spencer, I need to face other things with immediate effect once Lewis' coronation is over."
Spencer nodded in understanding before inquiring about something.
"Won't Amelia tag along?"
"No, she won't…"
Reginald let his sentence trail as he walked away and Spencer followed.
"So this is where her journey ends right?"
Spencer wanted to be sure so he wouldn't misinterpret it. He couldn't believe Amelia won't be by his side from now onwards.
"That's right," was Reginald's short response and he left Spencer all alone in the corridor.
