Anger coursed through his veins and he furiously clawed at every innocent tree close to him, he punched them out of frustration, leaving an impact.
He didn't know where to begin. How could a mere female just vanish into thin air...unless she had powers.
He groaned and kept destroying everything around him. How could she do that to him...oh Verna, I'll get you.
He shut his eyes tight and tried to calm his beast down, he was always calm and collected but recently he always got annoyed.
Was this the effect of finding your mate?
Reginald was panting hard, his chest rose and fell heavily. Beads of sweat ran down his temples, leaving his hair dampened.
"Never knew you could lose your cool boy, you're just like your godfather."
Alastor's taunting voice reached his ears and he snarled at him.
"Women...oh women, they are so powerful."
Alastor kept taunting, knowing very much that he was annoying Reginald.
"Guess what? I found her, she's...too much. She could even compete with Hectate, I'm sure Hectate will be envious once she sees her." Reginald's ears perked but he didn't show any emotion, he knew that was what Alastor wanted.
Hectate was also one of the devil's subjects along with Alastor. She was a demon seductress.
"Let me give you a puzzle to solve, young man."
Alastor strolled about the forest elegantly with his arms folded together, a smirk settled on his lips.
"She has extraordinary shape like Hectate, she can seduce, she manipulates, she knows how to move her body like a serpent...who is she?"
Alastor smiled deviously when he caught an emotional flash in Reginald's face.
"To save you from racking your brain to get answers. Let me help you, Reginald. I know where she is."
Reginald glared hard at Alastor, he knew what he wanted. He wanted to trap him so he could make a deal with him.
"Get lost Alastor."
"Let me give you another clue." Reginald didn't stop him, after all he was also curious to know where she hid herself.
"Her hometown is your hometown," with that, he vanished.
Reginald's eyes slightly went wide in surprise. A dark chuckle escaped his lips and he shook his head.
That was why he never pushed Alastor away, the man cared so much for him even though he didn't want to admit it.
.
Reginald transported himself to his room, he walked on the broken pieces of glass and headed for the shower room.
He chuckled to himself while taking off his clothes, he stepped into the bathroom and turned on the shower. The cold water felt soothing, it helped ease his taut muscles.
When he was done, he picked a towel and wrapped it around his waist. He walked out of the bathroom and when he got to the living room, he noticed how messy it was.
The broken glasses moved across the ground on their own and swiftly fixed itself. Putting and repairing everything that was destroyed back together.
He found his way into his luxurious chamber, he went to his dressing room and picked up a white T-shirt along with black pair of joggers.
He put them on and watched his body structure in the large mirror. He had a charming smile on his face.
He apparated out of his room and appeared right beside Spencer in the main floor.
Spencer jumped in fright and the book he was reading fell to the ground.
"Fuck!" He cursed out loud, he never got used to Reginald's apparating.
"You scared the hell out of me Alpha."
He picked up the book from the ground and faced Reginald who had a harmless smile. His brows furrowed.
"Looks like you're in a good mood bro." Spencer wriggled his eyebrows at him.
"I met her but she ran away."
It took a minute for Spencer to understand what Reginald said.
"You did? You guys are lucky."
Spencer sulked and Reginald patted him on the back comfortingly but he had an evil smile.
"How many people left this pack to lewis'?"
"Six left a week ago... not really sure." Spencer tried to recall.
"Any recent news I need to know about?"
Reginald had a serious look, he was looking for something. Spencer thought for a while before recounting what he remembered.
"Nothing much. Angelina reported to Beta Connery that she feels like someone or something is watching her...weird right?...not long ago, I guess some months ago, Connery said Theola sent her people here. They tried to break in, it seems like they want more than just your mother, alpha."
Theola was an evil witch and Reginald's mother's aunt.
Reginald frowned, and it seemed like his mother's aunt never gave up easily. She gave them a lot of headaches in the past.
"And I am afraid your mother is losing some strength. It seems like the demons she fought over those years did something to her...maybe they drained her...Everand had to always assist her."
Reginald's face darkened. His mother acted strong in front of him like nothing was wrong, but now he was hearing another thing.
"My father didn't tell me much though, he said he'll explain everything to you when you're ready to listen."
Reginald sighed, it seemed like he gave Connery a lot of work those past few years.
"Are you alright Reginald?"
Spencer had a worried look and Reginald knew exactly what he was asking about.
"Never been better," he responded with a charming smile and Spencer arched an eyebrow at him.
Reginald patted him on the back and stood up.
"I have to go bond with my stepbrother...and also congratulate him." Spencer saw a hint of mischief in his eyes.
"Please don't let my poor Amelia faint with nervousness." Spencer chuckled when he pictured how Amelia would react. Reginald was about to leave when Spencer decided to tag along, he wanted to watch a good show.
.
Valeria's eyes shifted from Amelia and she gazed at her son who appeared out of the blue along with Spencer whom he held by the shoulder.
"Oh my goodness!!!"
Rehab shrieked in delight, she was delighted to finally see her grandson.
Japheth's eyes took in Reginald's perfect structure. Reginald had a cunning smile as he walked up to them and embraced his never aging grandparents.
Rehab cupped his face and her eyes glistened with tears, he had grown so much.
Amelia's eyes slightly went wide, she thought he wasn't around but here he was, with his ever so composed self.
Aaron couldn't help but watch his brother with interest, he never imagined him to be so...glorious.
When Reginald was done greeting them, he turned around and locked eyes with his brother.
Aaron stood up, he was almost the same height as Reginald. He had an expressionless face as Reginald grinned and approached him.
"So...you must be?..." He trailed, waiting for his brother to fill the gap.
"Aaron," Aaron's voice was strong but in a sweet way.
"Aaron Everand...a nice name."
There was tension in the air...was Reginald taunting him?
Spencer yearned for popcorn right now. The show was about to begin. Valeria didn't bother stepping in, rather it was Everand.
"Hello champ, after a long while we finally meet again." Reginald smiled back at Everand, his stepfather. They gazed deeply into each other's eyes as if communicating.
"Exactly."
He stretched out his open hand to shake his stepfather and Everand accepted it. They squeezed each other's hand and Valeria noticed it but she sighed internally...they never changed.
Reginald's attention then shifted back to Aaron.
"Stroll with me brother," there was warmth in Reginald's voice and his eyes showed little emotion of care.
Before Aaron could say a word, Reginald placed his hand on his left shoulder and they appeared outside the mansion, In the wide evergreen field.
Aaron's eyes were wide, he was bewildered for a moment. He stared at Reginald and Reginald at him.
"That's an ability I got from my stupid godfather." Reginald explained with a harmless smile and Aaron felt at ease, he smiled back.
"You have mother's beauty but I see more of Everand in you." Reginald complimented and Aaron's lips parted. He never expected his brother to talk freely, he thought he would be cold and cruel like how his father, Everand described him.
"You have a rare beauty like mom," Aaron complimented back and Reginald chuckled lightly and began to walk ahead, Aaron followed suit.
"I'm a combination of three, Aaron. If you've seen the devil you'd know there's no difference. I also inherited some beauty from my late father."
"So it's true, you're really a tribrid."
Aaron had a slight frown. Valeria told him a lot about his brother, in a beautiful and sad way.
Something came to his mind and he decided to ask.
"What relationship do you have with Amelia, brother?"
Reginald grinned and delight shone in his ocean blue eyes. How could he underestimate this brother of his when they were both connected to the same mother.
"Glad we could finally settle this, seems like we'll get along just fine." Reginald spoke cheerfully.
Though Aaron hesitated before nodding in agreement.
