The room was quiet as Desmond watched Angelina's sleeping figure.
Ever since Reginald put her in deep sleep, she hadn't woken up and Desmond didn't wake her up because Reginald told him not to.
Her color had come back and she looked peaceful in her sleep.
For the past two days, he had fed Angelina only watery food and taken good care of her. But when it came to cleaning her up, he called on Nancy to do it.
Instead of keeping her in her own room, he had decided to keep her in his room so he could watch her properly.
He cast a protective spell around her like a shield so whenever he left to carry something, she would be safe.
The door slowly opened and Nancy poked her head in before announcing.
"They have returned."
Relief washed over Desmond and he stood up, ready to leave the room while Nancy entered and took his position in watching over Angelina until he returned.
"Thank you Nancy," he thanked her.
"Anytime, Desmond." She waved like it was nothing.
