"I hate this place." Sawn mumbled as we entered his room. His body was tense, his eyes turned towards the polished floors before he sat down on the armchair close to his bed. Rubbing his temples he released a sigh, his eyebrows furrowed from concern.
"How could it get stolen?" I wondered, not particularly asking him but he replied.
"I have no idea. I wish I knew. They better fix the damn portal so we can leave, it may seem like it but I don't think the environment is that friendly. Be careful." he warned and I swallowed the lump that was forming on my throat. Nothing seemed friendly to me. There was no place in this world that I would consider safe after what had happened. I always had eyes on my back, the paranoia of enemies lurking in the shadows followed me everywhere, leaving me exhausted.
"Oh come on…" A familiar voice was heard and both our heads snapped.
