Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Genji Mikazuki

Nestled in the town of Segamat, Malaysia, stood a prominent university known as UiTM Segamat. With its sprawling campus adorned with lush greenery and modern architecture marvels, the university was a beacon of knowledge where students came from various places seeking to expand their knowledge and shape their future.

In one of the many classrooms, Sir Farid, a seasoned lecturer in the field of Technical Analysis who's been teaching for almost a decade. He stood at the front of the room, explaining to his students that consisted of four different classes about the technical indicators. The four whiteboards were adorned with charts, graphs and notes.

Sir Farid explained the Relative Strength Index or simply RSI with enthusiasm. His eyes scanned the expression of his students until one of them caught his attention. It is a young man with a dark mullet hairstyle and bandages wrapping his right eye. Judging from his posture, the young man is sleeping peacefully unlike everyone else that is taking notes.

"Mr. Mikhail," Sir Farid called him out in a stern voice. "Would you be so kind as to draw an example of technical indicators?"

Mikhail blinked his eye several times and yawned as he got out of his seat. After grabbing the marker pen from the smiling Sir Farid, Mikhail drew a perfect example of the Relative Strength Index. This earned him praise from Sir Farid, who also didn't forget to sarcastically tell Mikhail to continue his sleep, much to everyone's amusement.

Returning to his seat, Mikhail leaned against the chair and crossed his arms. Suddenly, someone tapped his shoulder which caused him to look at his right side.

"You should focus instead of sleeping you know?"

Ammar Haziq, the first person who he befriended when Mikhail was enrolled in this university. Also, his roommate since the first semester.

Constantly annoys Mikhail with his jokes but also a happy go lucky guy who always thinks positively and accompanies him wherever he goes.

"I studied this topic months ago, Ammar," the young man with wavy-curly hair chuckled as Mikhail continued, "Besides, I was having trouble sleeping last night."

Ammar didn't say anything when Mikhail mentioned that. He just continued to stare at Mikhail for several seconds before shifting his attention to the lecturer who ended the class. Ammar watched as Mikhail grabbed his bag and left the classroom, prompting him to follow the young man.

"Who are you waiting for?" asked Ammar when he saw Mikhail standing not too far from the exit of the classroom. He grinned and asked, "Let me guess… You are waiting for Camy? Watch the sunset together again?"

Mikhail gave a stern glare and said, "She borrowed my notebook a few days ago."

After waiting for a few minutes, Mikhail saw an average height young woman with angelic face and dark brown bob hairstyle wearing glasses coming out of the class. Her dark eyes stared Mikhail's lone eye and immediately a smile appeared on her face.

"Mika!!" she screamed in excitement as she rushed at Mikhail. "You fell asleep, weren't you?"

"I did, Camy. Well, that topic wasn't that difficult." Mikhail replied to Camy who pouted and crossed her arms.

"Easy for you to say, genius."

Mikhail chuckled and said, "I'm not genius. Anyway, did you understand the notes?"

Camy took out a notebook from her bag and handed it over to Mikhail as she said, "I did. Thanks to you, I understand the indicators and chart pattern."

"Oh, as a sign of thank you for lending me your notes, are you free tonight?" Camy asked. "I won't take 'no' as an answer because I want to treat dinner. Ammar can follow you if you want."

Hearing his name being mentioned by Camy, Ammar immediately spoke with a grin, "Well, I don't mind about that however if Mikhail doesn't want me to ruin his moment with you… Then, I might stay in room and sleep."

Mikhail quickly elbowed Ammar's gut and said, "Tonight sounds good. I will wait for you at the café, the usual spot."

Camy grinned and gave a peace hand sign to Mikhail who did the same thing before heading to her room with her friends. The young man with a lone eye smiled and then glared at the smirking Ammar.

"What?"

"Nothing."

"Good because if you annoy me again, I will elbow your neck this time." Mikhail coldly said to Ammar who burst into laughter before walking with him to their room.

While talking about the upcoming test and the subjects tomorrow, Mikhail accidentally bumped into a young woman with long wavy dark hair, resulting all her books to drop and scatter. Apologized for his carelessness, Mikhail bent down and gathered the books.

"Here you go…."

Mikhail stunned when he saw the woman's face. For a split second, he saw a different woman who was smirking at him with crimson eyes. He shook his head when the woman asked him if he's okay to which he replied with a sharp nod. After thanking Mikhail and apologizing as well, the woman left but not before saying something that sent shivers down his spine.

"See you soon, Mikhail~."

Somehow, it also felt creepy because the way she said it reminded Mikhail of someone who he wished he never met.

"Are you alright?" Ammar asked as he placed his hand on Mikhail's shoulder, squeezing it gently but firmly. "You look… scare…?"

Mikhail didn't say anything for a moment and then looked at Ammar. He gave a nod before walking to his room while Ammar continued talking about his experience on riding a bike around the university late at night and encountered a ghost. Although Mikhail listened to Ammar, he couldn't forget the enigmatic woman's voice that echoed within his mind.

"See you soon, Mikhail~."

Several hours later, Mikhail could be seen with Ammar at the nearby café where they're enjoying their dinner with Camy who brought her roommates; Liya and Puteri. Unlike everyone else who was talking to one another, Mikhail didn't say anything let alone touch his food.

"Mika?" Camy called him with a worried expression. "What happened?"

Mikhail snapped out and then looked at Camy with a smile. He then said, "I'm fine. Let me buy some sweets first."

Camy nodded her head and watched Mikhail go into a mini convenience store. She then looked at Ammar and asked, "What happened to him?"

The young man who's drinking his orange juice shrugged off his shoulder and replied, "He's been acting weird since he bumped into this young woman."

Liya asked, "Who is this young woman?"

Once again, Ammar shrugged off his shoulder. He did describe a bit about the woman's appearance and body language and added that he had never seen the young woman before. Puteri stated that the young woman could be their junior or something.

"I'm going to check on him." Camy said to her friends before heading to the mini convenience store. Entering the store, she noticed that Mikhail is standing motionlessly, staring at the candies and snacks in front of him.

"Hey, what's wrong?" asked Camy to Mikhail who didn't say anything until she grabbed his arms. "Mika?"

"I… I am fine. It just I'm having a trouble," Mikhail replied with a small smile as he grabbed several bags of snacks and gummy bears. "Don't worry about me, I am fine. Sorry for making you worry."

"Ammar said that you acted differently since you bumped into someone. What's wrong? Is she related to you or something? Did she say something that hurt you?" Camy assaulted Mikhail with numerous questions. She then pouted and pumped her fist as she said, "When I see her face, I will punch her for hurting my best friend."

Mikhail chuckled and then said, "Don't worry about it, Camy. It just that she reminded me of someone who I really hate. But don't worry about it. Let's just enjoy our dinner."

After paying for the things that he bought, Mikhail decided to buy some burgers since he knew that Ammar was going to feel hungry late at night. Moreover, they are going to sleep quite late because tomorrow is Friday.

While waiting for the burgers that Mikhail ordered, Camy suddenly grabbed Mikhail's attention by asking him if he still remembers their first meeting.

"How can I forget? You were mad and ruined my sleep because I accidentally took your seat." Mikhail said with a small laugh.

"Yeah, and you kept giving me a glare for the entire class session," Camy giggled as Mikhail took the burger after paying and walked to their table together. "It wasn't until the lecturer paired us with Ammar, Puteri and Liya that we got to know each other."

"Yeah, it was quite funny especially when you kept staring at me like I am an alien."

Mikhail's words caused Camy to burst into laughter as they arrived at the table. Ammar, Liya and Puteri looked at them with a confused expression and asked what happened to which Mikhail explained that they were reminiscing about their old days.

"Here," Mikhail threw the burger at Ammar who caught it with a confused expression. "At least you have something to eat late at night. So, please don't bother me later."

Ammar snickered and said, "Never thought you were such a caring person, Mika. Oh, don't be jealous Camy. I am quite special in his heart if you need to know."

"Shut up or I punch your face until your teeth knock out." Mikhail said emotionlessly to Ammar, making everyone laugh.

"Anyways, Mika… Can you…"

Camy couldn't finish her sentence when she suddenly covered her mouth while widening her eyes. Even Ammar, Puteri and Liya did the same thing, much to Mikhail's confusion. He looked down and saw a blade protruding from his chest.

Coughing up blood, Mikhail looked behind him and asked, "Wh-Who are you?"

"Don't you recognize me? Genji Mikazuki."
