"V-Vlad…" I said with a tone of relief. I instantly hugged him.
"Are you alright, Rose?" Vladford asked.
"Yes, I am fine." I replied.
I gave him a second look and saw that he has the wings of the fire bird at his back. That was the reason why we were hovering in the air, because with the fire bird's wings, he could fly. I also noticed that he was covered in blood.
"You are covered in blood!" I quickly exclaimed.
"Do not worry." Vladford replied. "This is not my blood. It is the blood of another troll we fought in the goblin's nest."
Vladford had taken me down to the ground and gently put me down my feet.
"I am just glad that I was able to make it." Vladford still had me in his arms. He hugged me tightly as if he did not want to let me go. "If I was late for even a second, I am afraid of the consequences."
