The situation in Deneb was getting worse day by day. People lined up in the street, waiting for the provisions to be delivered, only to be disappointed with a small amount received later.
Arianell watched the half-dead marketplace. Those, who remained, were in no mood to talk. Everyone was doing their best to survive with the little food they had left.
"Big sister…" Rose was standing behind the young woman. She was much smaller than girls her age should be, as her body missed the nutrition to grow.
"How are you?" Arianell asked. "What about the children at the orphanage?"
"We are fine… we had enough to eat yesterday."
Arianell was bringing vegetables from her garden to the children for several weeks now, easing their lack of food. The director of the institution was overjoyed to receive some donations, so she didn't ask about its origin and shared it with the children equally.
