Chapter 500 - Chapter 500: The Weak God

The inferno furnace hurled by the Inferno Giant King expanded as it fell, transforming into a blazing sun that descended into the labyrinthine Abyssal Web.

"Boom!" Anything that came into contact with the inferno furnace—whether plant, rock, or demon—was instantly vaporized by the intense heat capable of melting through space, leaving no trace behind.

The impact caused a massive tremor throughout the Abyssal Web. The intricate network of tunnels crumbled and collapsed, forming new pathways. The molten rock and soil created by the Inferno Giant King's furnace flooded through the cracks, incinerating any weak demons that had survived the initial earthquake.

With just one strike, the Inferno Giant King Abaddon had inflicted significant damage on the Abyssal Web. Nearly ten percent of the demons living in this layer of the Abyss perished, mainly the young, spider-like demons that had not yet matured.

Without intervention from a god or demon lord, Abaddon could obliterate this entire layer of the Abyss with his furnace, exterminating most of the demons residing there. However, the Spider Queen Lolth would never allow her domain to be destroyed. Not only was this her divine realm, but the divine realms of the other four demigods of her Drow Elf pantheon were also located in this layer.

"Sayenode!" A half-human, half-spider figure appeared, blocking Abaddon, who was preparing to throw his furnace again, and let out an enraged shriek.

Seeing her territory in ruins drove Lolth to madness. Despite her efforts to overcome her demonic nature, she had yet to succeed fully.

"Is this the god of your world? Seems much stronger than the gods I've slain before!" Abaddon's violent, cruel eyes scrutinized Lolth, who had increased her divine body to nearly a thousand meters, consuming her divine power recklessly.

"Don't compare the gods you've encountered with the deities born of my world. There's no comparison," Sayenode chuckled, recalling something.

In a high-tier world, everything from gods to mortals was inherently superior to those from a lower-tier world. Otherwise, why would some beings go to such lengths to smuggle themselves into the world of Erathia?

"Hmph, understood. Then leave this powerful female god to me," Abaddon declared, eyeing the other four gods who appeared with Lolth, and choosing her as his opponent.

"Impudent, you lowly scum from another realm," Lolth fumed. Despite Abaddon's formidable strength, which even she found daunting, he was still just a servant of the Titans. A mere servant challenging her, with the Titans' approval, was intolerable. Such disrespect enraged her.

"Hmph!" Abaddon, having been insulted again, swung his inferno furnace towards Lolth's enormous spider form. Flames erupted, encasing the furnace in a fiery sun.

"Ah!" Lolth screeched, invoking her dual authority as an Abyssal lord and deity to create a divine shield. She had no choice but to fight back, as her divine realm lay below.

"Bang!" The furnace smashed through her divine domain without any loss of power. The space twisted by her divine authority had no effect, and the multiple divine shields she conjured shattered after a mere three seconds, allowing the furnace to strike her directly. Black-tinged golden divine blood flowed from the wound.

"A weak god indeed!" Abaddon exclaimed, seeing Lolth nearly collapse from a single hit, coughing blood. His narrow eyes turned to Sayenode, as if to say: Your world's gods are nothing special.

"She's not a combat-focused deity," Sayenode defended, feeling embarrassed on behalf of Erathia. Despite being an enemy, Lolth's poor performance was disappointing.

"Hah, I'm not a combat god?" Lolth laughed angrily. She was a goddess of chaos and destruction, and an Abyssal lord. "Witness my true power, you otherworldly epic!"

Struck by Abaddon's furnace, Lolth realized she had no choice but to fight for her survival. If she didn't withstand this assault, both she and her painstakingly built Drow pantheon would be destroyed. Given her divine connections and the constant threat from her rebellious daughter, her chances of resurrection were slim.

The Abyssal Web roared as Lolth abandoned all reservations, summoning every ounce of her power to fight for her life.

In their next clash, Lolth no longer tried to block the inferno furnace. Instead, she targeted Abaddon directly. Hellfire was terrifying, but no matter how powerful, an attack was useless if it missed its mark.

As the battle continued, Lolth initially fought Abaddon to a standstill, still wary of his inferno furnace. However, she soon discovered an endless stream of power flowing from her Abyssal layer, bolstering her seemingly without limit.

Lolth quickly understood what was happening. Not only the Abyssal Web, but the entire Abyss seemed to be channeling power to her, albeit in a limited capacity, but continuously and endlessly.

"Titans, you cannot kill me today!" Lolth laughed triumphantly, realizing she had the Abyss' support. "Thank you for giving me the chance to become an Abyssal Monarch."

"The true power bestowed upon an Abyssal Monarch is far greater than this," Sayenode remarked calmly, fully aware of Lolth's transformation.
