Calla got to them, the look on her face melted into a smile, she didn't want them to notice the cold expression that she once had while she was talking to Zoey.
She didn't know that their eyes were on her while she spoke to Zoey.
Dylan stood up and shook hands at her. "I love her you dealt with Zoey, you have proven that you are fit to be Davis's wife. No one can bully you." He said with a proud look on his face.
Calla was surprised to hear that. She thought they didn't see her.
"Thanks, Trevor." She said while giving him a brightest smile.
"I also admire how you dealt with that Zoey Wilmer. You are gorgeous and brave. I love you." Trevor said with his Mr cool smile on his face.
Calla: "..."
Dylan: "..."
Davis glared at him, the look on his face could kill Trevor. "That is enough, Trevor." He said in a cold tone.
Trevor laughed hysterically. "It seems Mr Williams is jealous and possessive of his new wife." His to was teasing.
Dylan knew if he didn't intervene, his two friends might tear themselves apart.
"Calla, hope you are ready for the show?."
Davis immediately deviated his attention from Trevor to his wife.
She let out a soft sigh. "I am ready, but the show needs to start now. I am getting impatient waiting for the show."
Davis hearing her complain immediately texted the host of the show.
He shifted his gaze to Calla once more. "The show will begin in five minutes, hope you are okay with that." He said in a soft tone.
Calla was surprised at his tone and the look of concern on his face but she didn't dwell on it. She simply nodded at head.
Davis clapped his hands and immediately, Garcia rushed to them with a black jewelry box.
He gave the box to Davis.
Calla eyed the box, wondering what was inside it.
Davis took the box and opened it. He stood up and faced Calla.
Her heart started racing. She wondered what he was about to do. She hadn't seen the content of the box. It must be the necklace for the show. She thought to herself.
He gently placed a kiss on her lips. Her eyes went wide in shock.
Trevor cheered loudly at Davis's actions, his coldhearted friend was being romantic.
Dylan and Garcia both had big smiles on their faces.
The guests who were once busy chatting with their friends stopped and look at Davis in shock.
He never held a woman's hand before but he had held this woman's hand and now he had just kissed her in public.
"That woman must be the wife of the CEO." One of the female guest said to her friends.
"Yes, she is so beautiful." Another one responded.
"She must be an international model or a famous actress." A blonde woman said.
Zoey who also saw the scene of Davis kissing Calla fumed in rage, her hatred for Calla grew even more.
"I will kill you, Calla Miller." She swore with hate on her face.
Calla's face was red from blushing so hard, Davis had kissed her in front of a lot of people.
Davis brought out a diamond necklace from the box and wore it on her.
Click! Click!
The sound of a camera taking photos was heard.
Calla looked at the direction of the sound and saw Marcus standing beside a man that was holding a camera.
"All done, boss." He said with a smile on his face.
What was all done? Calla wondered.
As if reading her thoughts, Davis explained.
"The show is over."
Calla: "..."
The show was over. Wasn't age supposed to walk down a stage with the necklace on her neck and then cameras flashing at her, taking photos of the necklace on her neck. So how come the show had already ended?. She wondered.
Davis saw the look of confusion on her face. He motioned for the man with the camera to show the photos he had taken to Calla.
Calla gasped in shock as she saw the photos. In the photo, Davis's hand on her neck was touching the diamond necklace on her neck.
The light from the camera made the necklace to sparkle giving it a beautiful look.
Her features were well-captured by the camera and her red hair complimented the diamond necklace on her neck.
She and Davis held each other's gazes in the photo, giving it a romantic plot.
"It's beautiful," she muttered.
A smile appeared on Davsi's face when he heard her words. He was glad he loved the photo.
"Make sure this photo is in every newspaper by tomorrow morning. The heading would be sent to you later." He said in a serious tone to Garcia but it was clear that he was in a good mood.
"Yes, boss." He responded and made a quick phone call.
Dylan and Trevor tapped Davis on the shoulder. "We will see you later." They said and left together.
Then Garcia and Marcus followed them alongside the cameraman, leaving the couple alone.
Calla suddenly felt awkward being alone with Davis. The memory of the short kiss lingered in her mind.
For the first time since she and Davis got married, she didn't feel like slapping him after a kiss.
"Sorry for kissing you. I had to show everyone that you are my wife." He said in a serious tone.
Calla: "..."
So he kissed her to show the guests that she was his wife, somehow the thought of what Zoey's reaction would be after seeing her and Davis kiss, make her pleased he had kissed her.
He saw the smile on her face. 'Is she smiling because I proved to everyone that she is my wife?.' He wondered.
She yawned. "Can we go home now, since the show is over?." she sounded tired.
Seeing her yawn, made him scoop her up in his arms and took her towards Garcia that was waiting for them in the car.
She was surprised at his actions. She was about to ask him to keep her down but decided to let him carry her when she saw Zoey looking at them, jealousy was clearly written on her face.
Calla leaned on his chest and wrapped her hands around his neck.
Davis smiled brightly as he saw her reactions.
This was the beginning of making her fall for him.
