After breaking the kiss, Ingrid looked at Lars with a worried expression.
She spoke, "Even though, I understand that you only care about my opinion but still, I am worried about your image in the village. People say that you are not a man because you do home chores."
Lars chuckled.
"It is not funny, dear." Ingrid frowned.
"No, no. It's just that I found their perspective funny. I mean, I do house chores because my wife is pregnant and she needs rest and they associate it with me not being a man. Then, what about those viking women who fight in battles? They are not women or what?" Lars spoke with a smile.
"To think you, who hates vikings to core is talking about them." Ingrid spoke with a smirk to which Lars pinched her cheeks with a smile.
"Stop teasing me like a bad wife and wait here quietly!" Lars spoke as he went to the small bathroom attached to his bedroom.
There he saw a large wooden bucket in which water was present. He picked up water from the bucket with a small wooden bucket and washed his hand as well as his face.
Lars picked up the small wooden bucket and brought to his room to help his wife wash her face and hands.
Ingrid seeing him care so much about her smiled from the bottom of her heart, while she thanked Odin Allfather for giving her such a lovely and caring husband.
...
After Lars and Ingrid washed their faces and hands and Lars made and ate the breakfast, he advised Ingrid to rest and went to do some work in the woods but not before taking a kiss from her on the lips.
As Lars was walking on the snow that had fallen on the ground, he felt a weird feeling in his stomach. He was carrying a large axe on his back for cutting the woods. He lived in the woods and chopped wood and sold them in nearby village to meet his ends meet.
He was going to chop woods today as usual but today, for some reason, he felt that something bad is going to happen.
His feet stopped on their own and he looked back to where he came from.
He immediately dropped his axe and turned around. He started running back as fast as he can.
He ran and ran until his breathing got haggard but he still didn't stop.
He believed that when he reached home he will see his lovely wife smiling at him and then greeting him with a "Welcome home!"
He firmly believed in it.
Then, why is there smell of blood in his house? He walked and opened the door of his house but the door fell on its own.
He walked inside as his hands started trembling.
His feet felt cold while a sharp pain hit his heart. He heard some noises from his room.
He walked towards it and opened it. There, he saw two man with blood in their mouth, devouring his wife.
His eyes widened while rage took over his mind.
"YOU BASTARDS!"
RUMBLE! RUMBLE!
