Michael was in a good mood as he went to school the next day. His mother has become conscious again as the operation was a success and she also liked the cake that he had bought her as well. The doctors have said that she will be fine and just needed to rest in the hospital so he was quite happy about the situation as things were finally starting to look up for him.
"Now that mom is awake, I should save the money to buy a good house after clearing more Gates." Michael said to himself as he smiled at the thought.
Now that his mother has woken up, he can use the money he gains from clearing the Gates to make his life better. Of course, he will have to be careful and not become arrogant about it, as he was told by Shen to become stronger.
Not to mention the fact that he was called by the Gold Players to clear the Gates so he will have more opportunities to gain more money and experience for himself. With it he will be able to get his life back on track, or as good as he can make it.
"Anyways, I am happy that things are going good for me." Michael said to himself as he reached his school and went to class.
Class went without a hitch as he enjoyed the slow movement of the class as the last few days have been him trying to get money for his mother which made him appreciate the silence and slow pacing of his class.
'This is the first time I'm sitting in a class and being so calm.' Michael thought to himself as he always used to worry since the accident and even in class he didn't have much of a peace of mind.
He is just happy that he is able to attend his class without any heavy thoughts in his mind like usual as he sat with an easygoing smile on his face. He had also met with Gayatri during lunch break and now the class for the day is about to end which he is thankful for as he wants to complete a Gate.
'I will probably stick to a 2 star Gate before moving to the next one.' Michael thought to himself as he left the school as Gayatri slowly ran to him.
"Already going back to the hospital?" Gayatri asked him as she slowed down and walked beside him.
"No. I'm going to go home first and then got clear a Gate or two." Michael said to her as he smiled at her.
"I see. In any case, we haven't been given any mission's now so I guess we're free to do what we want." Gayatri said to him as she looked at her phone.
"Yeah. How did Arun take the fact that you were chosen?" Michael asked her curiously as he wanted to know that.
"Pretty well. I have almost the same type of weapon as him so he trained me when I got them." Gayatri said to him with a shrug.
"And what did he think about me joining?" Michael asked as he looked at her.
"I didn't ask him about that. Considering how he acts with you in school, I didn't want to bring it up with him." Gayatri said to him with a sigh.
"Yeah, I guess that is a good call. Well, I'll be going home now. The faster I get ready, the quicker I will be able to get the location for a Gate." Michael said to her as he ran forward.
"Okay." Gayatri said to him as she waved at him as she watched him go.
Michael reached his home and then got dressed and went towards the HQ to get the location, but did a detour to the hospital as he went there and greeted and talked with his mom before he went to the HQ.
His mother was obviously concerned about the dangers of the Gate, but he reassured her that he has won't be going into any dangerous Gates and only ones that he can defeat quite easily.
After that he went to the HQ and met with the receptionist who gave him the location of a two star door.
"You seem to be in a good mood today." The receptionist said to him with a smile.
"Well, things have been going pretty well for me lately." Michael said to her with a smile towards her.
"Well, then I hope that your happy days will continue. You're doing a great thing by taking care of the Gates so quickly." The receptionist said to him with a smile on her face.
"Thanks. Have a nice day too." Michael said to her before he left the place.
The receptionist watched him leave with a smile as she went back to do her job as she went through the things she needed to do.
'At the pace he is going, he might reach a very high level soon.' The receptionist thought to herself as she worked.
After a few minutes Michael reached the location of the Gate and looked at it as he smiled to himself and then entered it. The Gate started as enemies started to appear in front of him.
There were demonic snakes and werewolves as he smirked at the enemies present as his rings appeared in his forearms as they glowed with energy as he charged at them as the two species also charged towards him.
'Let's see how I do against these two species simultaneously.' Michael thought to himself as he dashed towards them.
As he got close he charged the five rings on his right forearm and increased his strength by 2x each, which resulted in him gaining 10x the strength as he neared them.
But then he jumped as the snakes shot their acidic venom at him as he was in the air. He used one right from his left arm as a platform before he shot towards them and then sent his rings from his right arm at the enemies as they hit them and caused an explosion as the enemies were blown away, while the ones who got the brunt of the attack, died immediately.
He landed on the ground as the rings came back as he had dispelled the dust and saw him enemies. He shot the rings one after another as one hit and returned while the one attacked, an almost endless barrage of rings as he turned and shot them.
Then he leaned back as one werewolf managed to dodge his rings and reach him which gave the other enemies the chance to attack him. He saw one snake shooting it's acid at him as he grabbed the werewolf's arm and threw it at the acid causing it to howl in pain.
Then he used the rings and their energy as a whip to surround himself in a shield of its energy as the acid of the snakes hit the shield. Then he dashed towards the snakes with the shield as they panicked at him running towards them.
He increased his speed by 3x and shot to the right and then reached the snakes as they looked at him as he raised his right arm which has all five rings glowing as he sent a punch.
Right after the attack hit, the shockwave and force of the attack killed the snake that he hit as the other snakes had their bodies destroyed by the force and the energy shot that he decided to send together with the punch as their bodies were torn from the attack and the snakes died.
"It's a good thing that the snakes were together. Now, to take care of the werewolves." Michael said as he looked at his enemies as the werewolves howled at him.
Michael got ready and charged them and then sent a energy wave in the shape of three slashes as it killed a few werewolves and caused the rest to be more wary of him as he propelled himself forward by shooting the rings behind him to close the gap.
He reached the closest werewolf and before it could do anything, he grabbed it face and smashed it on the ground as it head was crushed under the force of his attack as he smiled at it.
"Now, who's next?" Michael asked as he stood up and looked at the rest of the wolves with a smile on his face.
'It does feel good to fight like this.' Michael thought to himself as he looked at his enemies.
