Kavya is currently sitting on a couch alongside the rest of her three friends. It has only been a few minutes since the speech was done and now they were spending some time away from the crowd.
"Still, I didn't expect you to say something like that to motivate the Players." Aravind said as he looked at her with an amused look.
"Well, they needed the motivation. Money is good but they can get it from clearing gates. But when something that they normally don't get is included in it, well they will have a shit ton of motivation to do so. And I know that I am one of those very special things. You guys already know how many people ask for me to go on a date." Kavya said with a confident smile on her face.
"Yeah yeah. But you aren't the only ones you know. As one of the few Gold ranked Players in the entirety of India, we all are pretty famous and popular. Take mister ladies man for example." Shiva said as he pointed at Aravind.
"Now now Shiva, you shouldn't sell yourself short. You style has attracted the attention of many girls as well you know. The bad boy and punk type aura you express with that style of yours does draw them in." Aravind said to him with a smile on his face.
"And you are the prince charming of India. What with how polite you are to everyone and your ever present smile. Do you know that in social media they call you the modern Rama?" Shiva said to him with a smirk in return.
"Really now? I suppose the modern God of Destruction would be quite knowledgeable. Though you aren't as knowledge as your name should suggest." Aravind said to him with a smile.
"Hey now, I may not be as smart as you are but I am up there." Shiva retorted with a good natured smirk.
The two kept on talking while Kavya and Divya were looking at the two talking with smiles on their faces.
"If only Arun was as disciplined and good natured the others." Divya said as she sighed.
"Well, I guess I can agree on that. His parents spoiled him and so he became the asshole he is today. His skills are legitimate but he often let's his emotions control him. If it weren't for the fact that he was a Gold Player and has great strength, he wouldn't have been able to survive with that level of control." Kavya said as she nodded to her friends words.
"Yes, well, you enjoy that part of him don't you? I have known you long enough to know that you enjoy poking fun at him and getting him to react." Divya said as she sighed.
"Hah! Even if he did he is not gonna be able to do anything significant to me. I have far more experience and power than him since I was one of the very first Gold Players who awakened in the world." Kavya said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah. But are you sure about the fact that you didn't want to be a model. I think it's a good opportunity." Divya said as she looked at her.
"Oh don't remind me. If I did become an idol it will only be just a headache with the schedules. Being an idol takes work and dedication, and I can't do that while I'm a Player. Not that I am interested in modeling." Kavya said with a groan.
"You would be very popular you know." Divya said with a smile.
"I already have enough popularity. Anymore and the world won't be able to handle it." Kavya said with a smirk.
"Sure it wouldn't." Divya said with a chuckle.
"By the way, I saw Michael and Arun's little sister in the crowd together as well." Kavya said with a smile on her face.
"Oh yeah. I did see his sister there. Gayatri right?" Divya said a bit surprised.
"Yeah. Her and the guy, Michael, were standing in the crowd beside each other. Maybe Michael and Arun aren't just classmates." Kavya said with a contemplative look on her face.
"Well, his sister might know her because they are at the same school." Divya said to her with a thoughtful look.
"Maybe. Anyways, considering how Arun is irritated by him, I wonder how he would react if I..." Kavya said with a smile.
"You're thinking of something to annoy him aren't you?" Divya asked her with an exasperated look.
"Yep. It's gonna be fun." Kavya said with a smile on her face.
Divya just shook her head at her friends words. Kavya is a woman who can be pretty childish when she wanted to be and could be a headache for people like Arun. Though to her she is a very good friend who is quite nice to be around with.
Divya then has a thoughtful look on her face as she thought about all the happenings around the world.
"Hey Kavya..." Divya said as she reclined on her.
"Yeah?" Kavya asked as she looked at her friend.
"What do you think will happen to the world after, well if, we manage to fully complete all the Gates? No matter how we look at it, the world has changed irreversibly." Divya said as she looked at her.
Kavya gained a thoughtful look when she heard that before she looked back at her.
"Well, there's no doubt about that. No matter how much we think, us Players are now at the top of the hierarchy, not even the most powerful and rich non Players can ever do anything to us. So even if we do completely seal the rest of the Gates, the world will most likely be run by us Players." Kavya said to her after she thought about it.
"Yeah, you're right." Divya said with a nod as well.
'I guess we can't exactly go back to our normal lives. Even if I have such money and power, it was much more preferable to live in a world where I would have to always be on the lookout for danger.' Divya thought to herself as she sighed.
Divya remembered the past when she could just wake up and go through her daily routine and go anywhere she wanted without drawing any kind of attention and being free. She could work and after that she could do what she wanted without anyone interrupting her.
But after her rise to a Gold Rank, life has become much more complicated. But she knows that if she doesn't complete Gates then many people would be hurt and worse, dead due to it. Though she doesn't like the attention that she attracts due to the station as people would always look at her whenever she goes anywhere and privacy is quite hard to get in public places.
'I wish I can just live at least a little of a normal life after this.' Divya thought to herself as she let out a sigh.
