The two sisters managed to control themselves now and calmed themselves down and sat on their seats with Michael also sitting on a chair.
"Look, I know that I'm just her partner but I think that Lakshmi already knows the risks about being a Player." Michael said to them.
"But that doesn't mean we have to like it. The both of us know how dangerous being a player is so we don't want her to put her life in danger. But now she has lost her leg." Sreya said as she looked at her appendage.
"I chose this path Sreya. This is the consequence of that." Lakshmi said to her.
"Well, what are you going to tell mom and dad when you get home huh?" Adhira asked her with a glare.
"I... ah... they'll understand." Lakshmi said weakly.
"No they won't. They will freak out when they see you." Sreya said to her sternly.
"I can work it out. There must be a way out of this." Lakshmi said to her in response.
"Don't..." Adhira said to her as she palmed her face.
Both sisters didn't know what to do. Their little sister had just lost her left leg, they weren't able to prevent it. The guilt from it is still there and they don't know what they could say to their parents to alleviate some of their fears.
"Even if Players had become a bit of a commonplace here, our technology hasn't advanced that quickly." Sreya said to her sister.
"Yeah. We managed to calm mom and dad down somewhat and told them to not worry and said that you might've just had a minor injury. They would lose their mind when they see this." Adhira said as she sighed.
"There must be another way right?" Lakshmi asked them.
"You could get a prosthetic." Sreya said to her with a sad look.
"Any other options?" Lakshmi asked her.
The two sisters looked at each other at that as they didn't get any ideas. Michael meanwhile was thinking about Lakshmi's words before he got an idea.
"What about leveling up in the Gates?" Michael asked them.
"What?" The three sisters asked at once.
'They really do act alike.' Michael thought to himself as he looked at the three.
"When a Player levels up their bodies get healed right? What if we tried to use that to heal her and get her leg back." Michael said to them.
"Does that actually work?" Adhira asked her older sister.
"We don't know. Something like that hasn't been reported yet." Sreya said to her sister.
"But it's worth a try isn't it!?" Lakshmi said immediately at the prospect of getting her leg back.
"Hold your horses sis. It doesn't matter right now if that theory will work or not. Even if we are going to try it we have to help you level up, and that's going to be very hard to do considering your condition." Sreya said to her.
"But, but he is here isn't he. Michael can help me." Lakshmi said to her sisters as she looked at him.
'She trusts him more than the two of us?' Sreya and Adhira thought to themselves as they looked at him.
Michael gulped a bit as he felt himself be sized up by the two siblings as they looked at him with narrowed eyes.
'Does she have feelings for him?' Adhira thought to herself as she looked at him.
'I'm not going to let my sister be with a guy who let her get hurt like this.' Sreya thought to herself as she looked at him.
"Well, your sisters are also here aren't they. They can also help you." Michael said to his friend a bit nervously.
"My sisters are strong. I have no doubt that. It's just that you're stronger." Lakshmi said to him as she looked at him.
"Is that so?" Sreya and Adhira asked as she smiled at him.
Though to Michael it felt like a dangerous smile which caused him to gulp nervously as the two sisters looked at him like a pack of wolves.
'Did I do something wrong?' Michael thought to himself as he looked at the two girls.
