Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

It has been 8 years since the appearance of the "Gates" and the emergence of the "Players". The weapons of the military weren't useful against the monsters that appeared from inside the Gates and only the Players could fight them. But not only did they gain the ability to fight against the monsters they also became stronger than non-player humans.

The Doors that appear grants a human with "Skills" and a "Menu" while also giving a physiology stronger than a normal human which effectively puts them in the superhuman category as they are able to do great things relatively easily.

The Players can be categorised into 3. Bronze, Silver and Gold, each categorised according to the colour of the door which appears before them. Bronze is the most common, with Silver being more rare and Gold being the most rare with their numbers being few in the few in the countries.

"India only has 17 Gold Players despite its great population, but I guess it shouldn't be surprising." A medium brown skinned, black haired, brown eyed Indian boy with a slim build said from his room in an apartment as he watched the TV.

On the screen is the new reporting the current no.1 Gold Player and Strongest Player of the country, Aravind Patel. A handsome Indian name of fair skin like all North Indians dressed in a black suit as he is giving an interview on behalf of the Indian Player Association.

"I want to be a Player as well." The boy, Michael Wilson said to himself as he sighed.

But he then got dressed for school before packing his bag and looked at the TV before switching it off and exiting his room and going on his way to his school. It was a 15 minutes walk from him place so he didn't mind it as he made his way he walked across a very big mansion as he looked at it. He walked in front of it before the sound of its gate opening caught his attention as he looked ahead as he saw a girl younger than him walking out.

"Hey Gayatri, good morning." Michael greeted the girl with a smile and a wave.

Gayatri is a girl with light brown skin which borders on almost a fair skin tone. She has long wavy brown hair which reaches her hips, bright amber eyes, and a good figure with medium breasts and hips with slender arms and legs.

The girl turned and looked at him with a bored face.

"Hey Mike, nice to see you I guess." Gayatri said with a bored tone.

"Aren't you gonna call me big brother like in the past?" Michael asked her with a small smile.

"Why should I?" Gayatri asked him with a raised eyebrow.

"You've changed." Michael said with a sigh.

"And you haven't changed a bit." Gayatri said to him.

"You know that's not true." Michael said to her as he walked.

"Really now?" Gayatri asked him with a raised eyebrow.

"Ever since you became a Player you've grown more confident and I guess more prideful." Michael said to her with a smile.

"Really?" Gayatri asked him at his words.

"Yeah. You don't have to believe my words though, little sister of the Silver Fists." Michael said to her with a teasing smile.

"Shut it." Gayatri growled at him.

"Come on now, I have been asking you for some time now. Can't you just, I don't know, can't we just act like we used to before you became like this and would act like a little sister to me?" Michael asked her with a sigh.

"That time has long passed." Gayatri said to him with a frown.

"Right. See you at school then." Michael said as he walked forward.

After that he reached his school and went through the lessons and only when it was lunch did the problems start. What are the problems? Well, simply bullying. It should come as no surprise that there would be students in the school who are Players which automatically puts them at a higher level than most faculty that even teachers aren't able to do anything as even a Bronze Player can easily dispatch of them.

"Did you bring the money?" One such Player alongside his three friends is bullying a student right now.

"Please. I can't always do this." The student said fearfully.

"I didn't ask whether you can do it or not. You just have to follow my orders, or do you want to pay the consequence." The man said to the student with a smirk causing the student to whimper.

"You guys. What did I say about bullying others? Do you want me to send a complaint and video to the association?" Michael said to the boys causing them to turn to him.

"Tch. Of course you would be here." The second bully said with an irritated look.

"Hey, just because you have those videos doesn't mean that you will get away with this forever." The third one said to him.

"You better watch your back." The fourth one said before he walked away with his friends.

"Thanks big brother." The student said to Michael as he let out a breath of relief.

"No worries. Now go on your way now." Michael said as he patted his back and made him go on his way.

After that he walked out of the building before some black web like things appeared and grabbed him and tossed him into the air and onto a giant web with his back facing the sky. He looked down and saw the four students he had just driven off moments ago smirking.

"I told you to watch your back." The third one said as the same black web appeared out of his hands and webber his hands and legs.

Students were looking at the scene as many didn't intervene and opted to just watch. The second bully threw a pebble at Michael which hit his stomach causing him to wince. Then the four started to play a game with them assigning points to Michael's body parts before they started to throw pebbles at him.

"What are you doing?" The sound of a man caused the four to stop and turn around.

"A-Arun!" The first bully said in fear as he gulped.

Standing in front of the boy is Arun, one of the only Gold Players in India and a very powerful student who can just do whatever he wants in the school.

He has medium brown skin, amber eyes, brown hair and has a muscular and buff build, with him being easily the largest of the five of them. He currently has one female student with him as he addressed the bullies.

Arun looked up and saw Michael suspended in the air using black webs as the boy is unable to do anything.

"Seriously? Is this what you've been reduced to?" Arun asked as he looked at Michael's state.

"Just say what you want and let me be Arun." Michael said to him causing the others to gasp at how bold he was.

"Is that right." Arun said with a dangerous smirk on his face.

He then took a pebble from the bullies and got ready to throw it. Then an armor made of silver formed on his right arm covering it, then a silver energy gathered around him generating winds scaring the students and people there as he aimed at Michael who is a bit wide eyed.

"Arun, you know what will happen if you do something to him, don't you?" Gayatri said to him as he clicked his tongue.

"Shut up Gayatri. I know what I'm doing." Arun said before he threw the pebble.

It caused great winds sending some students to the ground from the force of it as it reached Michael. His eyes widened when he saw the pebble as he moved his head a little to the right as he was only able to get it that far before the pebble passed by him.

The students got their bearings after a few seconds before they looked at Michael. They saw that he is fine but there is a cut running across his left cheeks as blood came out of it. But what was most shocking of all was that Michael didn't seem to be crying or has a scared face. Rather he has grit his teeth as beads of sweat formed on his forehead as he has a nervous look.

"God that was close." Michael breathed out as he let out a breath of air in relief as he panted a bit.

On the ground Arun clicked his tongue at not seeing him scared as he made his armor disappear.

"You guys can do whatever you want with him. I don't care." Arun said before he went away with the girl.

Gayatri sighed at her big brothers behaviour before she looked at Michael before she turned to the four bullies.

"Get him down and don't trouble him." Gayatri ordered them and walked away.

"Yes ma'am." The bullies said in unison as she walked away as Michael watched.

"She hasn't changed that much huh." Michael said as he looked at Gayatri before he sighed again.
