Chapter 14 - Chapter 13

He eventually had passed out due to high blood pressure waking up only to find Vesper Still cuddling him but she was more awake now.

"Good afternoon. It's stopped raining would you like to go on a walk before lunch?" He slowly nodded his head still reeling after waking up. Maybe it was all a dream he thought as he sat up ruffling his hair back his clothes a wrinkled up mess from the nap. He sighed as he got up to change out of his pajamas. He got into his bag and began to dig around until he found a silver t-shirt and a pair of jeans. He tugged his shirt off yawning as he stretched.

"Levi uhm... do you mind if I change in here too ill face the wall."

"Oh uhm I can go in the bathroom if you like I didn't realize you weren't ready. I apologize. "

"Oh no you can stay it's okay." she said flustered already facing the wall so hopeing Levi couldn't see her embarrassment.

"Alright..."

He went silent facing the windows changing into his jeans flustered as well.

Once they got through the awkward silence of getting dressed they both walked downstairs together.

"Mom an dad are busy today according to mom's note so it's just you and me today." Levi nodded to her looking more at the decore of the house.

"It's kinda spooky all the dead deer heads and animal furs around the house my mom used to love animals, now she doesn't have any."

"It is rather odd." Levi stated as he looked around the house nothing was alive that was for sure and there was a weird smell.

"Do you smell something funny?"

"Now that you mention it yeah it does smell kinda bad, like rotten tomatos."

"Let's get some fresh air. "

Levi walked her outside onto the front porch. Vesper followed taking Levi's arm as she noticed the deer trails that led off in many different directions into the woods.

"So many I bet in these woods there is an abundance of deerand other wildlife I know there is supposed to be a lookout tower to the east of here if you wanna go check it out."

"Sure it would be nice to get a lay of the land." Levi smiled warmly.

Vesper grinned excited as they Headed east into the wilderness.

"Wow look at all these trees so much climbing and and hiking and so much is a mess from the storm."

"Dense woods it's bound to be like this." He said helping her down from a fallen log.

"If it was cleaned up some then it would be better."

"That's funny vespercause then it wouldn't be natrual."

"Oh. you make a valid point but I do not like climbing these limbs are killing my back."

"Do you need a break Vesper? we're nearly to the tower inside is normally a few accommodations to recover."

"Just a second and we can keep going I just need a minute or two so I can catch my breath. "

"Okay."

Levi yawned and leaned on a tree the sun shining through as frogs hopped along and birds chirped he closed his eyes and just absorbed the peacefulness of it all.

"I'm ready now Levi we can go your not asleep again are you?"

"Nah just enjoying the surroundings."

He led the way helping her as they went along he lifted her over thorns and gave her a boost over larger fallen logs as they finally arrived at the tower. They made there way up the stairwell and stepped over to the sign stating you are here with a red marker as they looked around the evening sunset giving the wrap around balcony of the lookout a beautiful view.

"Lovely isn't it?" Vesper asked him as she rest her head against his arm.

"It is." He said smiling

"To bad it'll be dark out on the way back we can follow the main trail it should be faster and safer."

"Okay sounds like a plan. " Vesper smiled as they headed inside of the balcony Levi opened the doorway before stopping in his tracks and covering his face slamming it shut quickly.

"Let's go." He said with a new kind of urgency.

"What's wrong levi?"

"Don't ask just move we need to get back quickly and leave quickly."

"Levi I don't understand."

He couldn't explain now so he threw her on his shoulder and began to run as fast as his legs could carry them. They were all in danger.
