"Hmm?" I turned my head in confusion, not catching what Marilyn was saying. "What love letter?"
After Marilyn reminded me a few times, I remembered that I had indeed received a confession letter before. However, back then, Marilyn didn't seem to care as much as she did now.
I didn't know why Marilyn suddenly brought up this matter again. I shook my head honestly, "I don't know."
This response seemed like I was trying to brush it off, and Marilyn stared at me without saying anything. Slowly, it dawned on me that I needed to explain further. "I don't know who the person was that wrote the letter before. The girl today is the first time I've met her, so I don't know if it's the same person..."
Marilyn neither confirmed nor denied anything. Her silence left me uncertain whether she believed my explanation or not.
