Chapter 21 - The Infinite Golden Protector

Later that day, Feng Wei set out to explore the valley with the little dragon on his back and an irritated woman by his side. As he ventured deeper into the valley, he could feel the energy becoming denser and more potent. The spiritual energy was rich and vibrant, exciting him.

His heart raced at the thought of cultivating in such a favorable environment.

He calculated that if he left now for the City of Red Chaos, he would arrive in a month with his current speed. But if he cultivated here for a month, he would have the confidence to double his speed and reach the City of Red Chaos in 15 days. He would become faster and stronger, making it worth it.

He started building a shelter in a tree, using some materials from the ring and working on cutting wood. Meanwhile, Bai Lian watched him from afar, somewhat impressed.

"He seems to be only 15 or 16 years old, but how can he act as if he's in control of everything? How can he have such refined survival skills? He must have experienced something to develop such a mentality," Bai Lian thought.

After two hours, the shelter was ready, and Bai Lian seemed impressed, thinking, "This kid is not as bad as I thought."

Feng Wei turned and asked, "Why are you standing there? Come and test this; it will be our home."

But he interrupted Bai Lian, asking sternly, "What are you doing? I wasn't talking to you. You said you won't support or help me, so I have no obligation to do the same for you. Take care of your own food and shelter."

[+20 points of hatred]

Bai Lian gritted her teeth and thought, "I take back what I said. One day, I will surely kill this brat."

As Feng Wei continued walking, the spirit of the ring spoke again, "Boy, it seems the pagoda liked the fate of the two and gifted you with a relic." A screen appeared in front of Feng Wei, revealing a magnificent Golden Jin Armor. This legendary armor was known as "Yuánzhū Jīngāng," the Infinite Gold Protector.

Forged centuries ago by an immortal master craftsman, the Yuánzhū Jīngāng was a mystical masterpiece. Made from celestial golden scales, the armor enveloped the user's body with celestial harmony. Mysterious symbols of ancient patterns were engraved on every inch of the armor, emanating an aura of unparalleled power.

Intrigued by the revelation, Feng Wei examined the relic with admiration. "The Yuánzhū Jīngāng... I've only heard of its legend in the higher realms. And to think I would be graced with such a rare treasure."

The spirit of the ring continued explaining, "This armor is exceptional. It has two modes of operation - the 'Jin Enhancement' mode and the 'Jin Reduction' mode. In 'Jin Enhancement' mode, the weight of the armor multiplies based on the amount of spiritual energy you channel. In 'Jin Reduction' mode, it becomes light as a feather. Its defense is unmatched and can withstand powerful attacks."

Feng Wei's eyes lit up with excitement, "This will be a valuable asset in my journey to become stronger."

The spirit of the ring added, "But remember, the armor is attuned to your cultivation level."

Feng Wei nodded, "Thank you for this gift. I will make the most of it."

As Feng Wei continued his journey with Bai Lian and the little dragon princess, they stumbled upon a remote and serene valley. Feng Wei decided to take a moment to rest and prepare a meal. He skillfully hunted a beast and made a fire, using improvised spices to flavor the meat. The aroma of the food reached Bai Lian, who watched from a distance. Despite being the eldest among them, she had lived a sheltered life in the clan and never worried about food or survival. She tried to imitate Feng Wei's actions, but her attempt at cooking turned out to be disastrous.

Bai Lian went to hunt her own meal, but when she prepared the food, it turned out so bad that she couldn't eat it. Instead, she spent the night cultivating while keeping an eye on the little dragon princess, who slept peacefully on Feng Wei's chest.

The next day, Feng Wei woke up early and began cultivating under a waterfall in the lotus position, performing hand movements as he channeled energy.

"This bloodline is truly peculiar; it allows me to absorb an absurd amount of spiritual energy in such a short time," he thought to himself.

After a few hours, he concluded his cultivation session with a deep breath, releasing all the air from his lungs.

Feng Wei took out the Golden Jin Armor from the ring. He then bit his finger, allowing a few drops of blood to fall on the surface of the armor. When the blood touched the ancient engravings, the armor began to emit a radiant glow.

The spirit of the ring observed with interest, "Impressive, young one. Your blood has already awakened the ancient seals within the armor. Now, channel your spiritual energy to refine and connect with the armor."

Feng Wei closed his eyes and focused his mind, pouring his spiritual energy into the armor. He visualized the energy flowing through the engravings, activating the dormant power within the relic. The armor responded, and its glow intensified, as if it were alive.

As the armor began to reshape itself, molding to Feng Wei's body, it started from his legs, enveloping him like a second skin. It then moved to his arms and finally reached his chest, forming a seamless, perfect fit.

Feng Wei could feel the powerful energy of the armor merging with his own, as if they were becoming one. The Yuánzhū Jīngāng acknowledged him as its rightful master, and their connection was profound.

As the armor settled, Feng Wei opened his eyes, now clad in the majestic Golden Jin Armor that soon turned invisible, as if not wanting to draw unwanted attention.
