Chapter 15 - 015. Bothering Darkness (1)

"What's bothered inside the darkness? We're weaking up the nest of snakes!"

________

The silence of the cave was broken by Raojhin's long laughter. He seemed content to vent his frustrations so far.

"You're ugly!"

Increasingly annoyed, Taja slowly got up from where he fell after being knocked off his feet. It felt like my whole body was shaking to the bone, when it hit sharp rocks and pebbles.

"You humans have multiple personalities!" grumbled Taja while trying to stand up.

"Vendant!" Taja grumbled uncontrollably.

"What are you talking about?" Raojhin heard enough of it in between laughter which had not ended.

"Glory at the suffering of others?!" Taja replied and for a moment glared at Raojhin.

"It is not like that!" Raojhin stood there firmly "I too was in pain yesterday because of you. So now we are even!"

"Yesterday's incident wasn't caused by me, but yourself!" Taja said firmly.

"Attacking an opponent unprepared, that's cheating!" continued Taj.

"In a real battle, there is no word 'unprepared', the enemy attacks from time to time. Don't let your guard down!" Raojhin has his own point of view.

"Okay!" Taja back upright in his position now. Reach the rocks that are high enough.

Two figures faced each other. The distance between them was dozens of rocks apart.

"Whoops!"

Taja jumps over the rocks one by one. Occasional sideways somersaults.

"Heaaarh ...!"

Taja's body darted quickly to Raojhin's position while successively pounding fists repeatedly with all his might and as fast as that.

Raojhin was pushed back, busy fending off in full defence. When his hands were overwhelmed with attacks, his steps faltered and almost lost his balance.

Taja landed perfectly straight. Apparently Taja looks not being pleasantries anymore. Raojhin realized that only then. Immediately he felt worried after knowing that Taja's fist strength was beyond his expectations. Causing the defense of Raojhin's stance to stumble back.

"Why? Are you done laughing?!" Taja's figure was standing there.

Raojhin remained silent and resumed his stance. Then do a somersault. Once again launching kicks with more force than before. Taja also deploys a kick towards Raojhin.

"Heaah ...!"

Two figures flashed in the dim cave, clashing with successive kicks. The sound of two feet colliding broke the silence of the cave.

Taja spun several times before landing hard on the rock ledge. But Raojhin was not strong enough to withstand the power of the kick from Taja. Raojhin's body flew up and hit something hard.

A sound like lightning accompanied by sparks sparks grabbed by the impact of Raojhin's body before crashing to the bottom of the rock wall of the cave.

Raojhin lies down. Almost soundless. Instantly Taja flinched.

"Rao!"

Taja immediately approached Raojhin's body lying there. Getting more shocked while checking Raojhin stops breathing.

Taja patted Raojhin's face and chest limply. Realized that Taja lacks energy control when attacking with kicks.

Now it's happened. Taja repeatedly pressed Raojhin's chest.

"Ugh ...!"

Finally Raojhin coughed briefly between his breaths.

"Rao!" Taja screamed followed by a sense of relief.

"You scared me!" Taja heaved a sigh of relief after seeing Raojhin breathing again.

"Nnggh ... my back ... got grabbed ... aaaagh ...!" Raojhin groaned looking hard holding his own back.

Taja helped her, half turning Raojhin sideways. There was a slight scorch mark on Raojhin's back. His clothes were a little scorched and hot.

"What's this?!" Taja flinched after seeing what had happened to Raojhin.

Taj looked around. Lastly Raojhin hits something. Turns out it wasn't a wall. Only the dark room had faint traces of sparks accompanied by the crackling sound of something burning.

"What's that?!" Taja helps Raojhin lean on the nearby rocks.

Tae stood up. Then take a closer look at something at the other end. Meanwhile Raojhin caught his breath and gathered strength.

"My feet ...," Raojhin groaned.

Taja again approaches Raojhin. For a moment he holds Raojhin's leg and ....

Klek ....

"Aaarrgh ...!" Raojhin groaned loudly. Taja repositioned Raojhin's slightly sprained ankle. Raojhin felt his muscles go limp, to the point of bending over in pain.

"Sorry, I forgot to reduce my energy," said Taja feeling guilty.

"That's why I don't want to compete. At times, my energy can get out of control," continued Taja.

"Don't hesitate ... it wasn't your kick that nearly killed me ... but ... that cave wall ...!" Raojhin answered somewhat haltingly. He pointed at the flames above.

For a moment Taja observes something Raojhin points at.

"That's not a cave wall," said Taja. Then slowly approached something there. Something burning in the dark.

"What's that?" Raojhin, whose pain had subsided, followed beside Taja, although he limped a bit.

Taja glances at Raojhin. Secretly saluting, Raojhin quickly recovered from the pain. Apparently, he has the ability to recover quickly.

Taja raised his right arm. Facing a handful of hands toward the front. With eyes closed and solemn, then throw energy.

A beam of white light appeared from Taja's grasp. Lightly shot up and glowed. But suddenly the light seemed to hit something. A flash of fire suddenly appeared accompanied by a burning sound.

Then clearer and clearer appeared the ancient script composed of sparks that appeared in the darkness. Forming an invisible wall barricade.

Raojhin and Taja look at each other. Suddenly the nuances in the cave feel tense.

Plus there was the hiss and rustle of something moving between the cracks in the rocks and the ground. The glowing insects on the ceiling of the cave were also disturbed.

"Next time, resist the urge to duel. Moreover, this is the first time we have come to this place," said Taja.

"What do you think inhabits this cave?" asked Raojhin while keeping an eye on his surroundings.

"So many! These are ... hundreds ... even more ... thousands," Taja replied, putting on an alert, "I sensed it from the start. But you attacked me constantly. I didn't have time to tell you sooner."

"Plus the bugs!" Taja glanced briefly at the insect colonies scattered everywhere.

"It's a snake nest!" said Taj. Raojhin flinched when he heard the word.
