Chapter 16 - 016. Bothering Darkness (2)

"Snake nest?!"

Raojhin wasn't just shocked. But there was a sense of amazement when he realized that Taja didn't seem daunted even though he knew beforehand that the place was a snake's nest.

"Scorpions ... reptiles ... are also in darkness inside of cave!" continued Taja.

"It's better... we'd better get out of this place," Raojhin said, greeted by a look on Taja's face throwing sharp lyrics.

"Are you scared ...?!" Taja's sentence implies a satire that teases Raojhin.

"This place is perfect for practicing courage," said Taja. Raojhin's face turned sour. As if not wanting to be seen as a coward.

Suddenly there was a loud bang startling them both. Sparks spread more and more, forming a red glow resembling a dividing wall.

"What are you doing, Taja?" Raojhin felt misgivings about the situation unfolding.

"Me ...?!" Taja turned back in astonishment to look at Raojhin beside him.

"Weren't you the one who bumped into him?" The king was even more surprised.

"Isn't that white light from your hand?" Raojhin asked instead.

"Alhirri, my white light, reveals the invisible. But the barricade of the invisible wall was broken by the impact of your body," Taja explained.

"Invisibility wall?!" Raojhin squinted his eyes. As if in disbelief that what appeared before the two of them, it became clearer that it resembled a wall composed of fire inscriptions, now splitting in all directions. From the ceiling of the cave down.

The flames spread and grew wider. The atmosphere returned to silence after the sparks died out. Then the magic script wall disappeared and revealed something behind it.

Taja and Raojhin step slowly. Increasingly towards one direction that was originally closed by a magical wall.

"There seems to be an abyss," Raojhin saw what was in front of him.

At the end of the belly of the cave, it turns out to be a wide gaping ravine. The light from many insects scattered around the edge of the ravine.

Taja and Raojhin very carefully glanced below.

"It looks really deep!" said Taj. Don't want to move any further. The wide ravine was filled with thousands of glowing insects. The rest, deeper and deeper, it was just darkness visible to the eye.

"In fact ... the insects come from here," muttered Taja, trying to understand more.

Raojhin suddenly comes up with an idea. He picked up a stone and was about to drop it into the abyss.

"Stop!" Taja first blocks Raojhin's hand.

"We don't know what's under there," said Taja.

Raojin came to deep senses. He almost did something reckless. The two of them could only kneel, momentarily frozen on the edge of the abyss.

"What is there, so that there is a magical wall that covers it before it reaches this ravine?" Taja thought more.

"Who do you think put up that magical wall?" Raojhin was as amazed as Taja.

"Do you think there are monsters down there?" asked Raojhin.

"I don't know ...," Taja didn't want to deal with something that felt like it would be more dangerous.

"We'd better get out of this place, before …," Taja didn't have time to continue words. The rocky ground where they stood on, began to shake. Both of them quickly got up.

The two of them didn't budge for a moment, feeling the footing of the ground was about to collapse.

"Be careful!" Taja slowly gave the signal to step back step by step.

Taja and Raojhin managed to retreat quickly. But a lump of rock at the very end, already fell into the abyss.

silence. Unmoved.

Dag ...!

Dug ...!!

Dug ...!!!

The sound of loud rocks resounding. Echoing in the depths of the abyss. Chunks of rock from a height collided with the walls of the ravine many times.

Brakkk ...!!!

Finally, the sound of rocks hitting the bottom of the abyss and breaking, leaving a long echo that filled the silence of the cave.

Taja and Raojhin were unmoved. Glued in place. Looking at each other. Silence returned. It was quieter than before.

"Run!" Taja's signal was followed by Raojhin. The two of them ran and jumped over the rocks along the belly of the cave.

For a moment they stopped. Confused determine which cavity will be passed.

"Woe!"

they both screamed. Forget, they passed through which cavity before.

Amidst the panic, Taja and Raojhin are startled by the presence of unexpected creatures. The snakes had already revealed their forms without hiding anymore.

"They seemed to be waiting for us," Raojhin felt something odd about the way the snakes were watching Taja and Raojhin's movements from various directions.

"They're blocking us," said Taja.

"What do you mean?" Raojhin was clueless with alert.

"We come here uninvited. They are the creatures of this cave," answered Taja briefly.

"What should we do?" Raojhin strengthens the alert even more.

Haven't had time to move any further. Suddenly a very loud creeping and hissing sound emerged from the direction of the ravine they had left behind.

"Come here!" Taja briefly tug at Raojhin's hand.

"Is this really the cavity we entered?" Raojhin run fast after Taja.

"Sssh ... don't make any noise!" Taja raised his index finger in front of his lips.

They slipped through the dark cavity.

The sound of hissing was getting closer. Pebbles and stones were dragged under the weight of the bodies of heavy slithering creatures, and could be heard crawling into the cavities.

Taja and Raojhin pressed their bodies together in the crevices of the dark cave cavity.

"Scorpion!" suddenly Raojhin tiptoed. Busy shaking body. Infested by creatures crawling on his body.

"Arrrh ...!" Unable to take it anymore, Raojhin runs away with all his might. Taja could not prevent it.

"Woe!"

Taja squealed himself. The sound caught in the throat.

Raojhin's screams attract the attention of a slithering creature whose form is unknown.
