Chapter 41 - The white fox

A few hours later, Cristian lay on a thick branch, patting his belly. The mouth-watering aroma of the roasted tiger certainly did justice to its taste. 

"Old man, how about you become my cook?" he offered an olive branch, forgetting he had no castle to go back to in this dimension.

Including his gruff voice, the man was boring to talk to, but Cristian had to manage what he had. Besides, he behaved more like a human than the Orcs he knew from video games. 

Below, the Orc lay against a tree opposite the one Cristian climbed. His murky eyes flickered with unknown thoughts while he gazed at the seemingly careless human kid, who wolfed down a good portion of the meal and was now offering him a position as his chef. 

'This kid is truly delusional. He's been spouting rubbish all this while,' he said internally. And his negative response brought no response from Cristian because he was asleep.
