Chapter 43 - Bluegrass

Making sure the vine around the hilt of his sword was firm, he moved back until he vanished inside the forest. 

Thud! Thud!

Even from the other side, the fox could hear loud steps. She watched as Cristian bolted out of the bushes, stomped on the edge, and leaped. 

Mid-air, everything seemed to slow, and with a deep grunt, he threw Burning Fury like a spear. 

The great sword tore through the air and plunged deep into the soft soil after the rocky edge of the cliff. Even when a sword pierced the ground beside her, not a flicker of fear flashed through the fox's eyes.

Coiling his fingers around the slippery veins, he climbed up. All this was new to him, so it took a lot more effort, but everything he faced forged him towards his final destination.
