As I stepped through the other side of the portal, I saw Svarien already hammering with a red glowing mana hammer upon a piece of mana metal. It looked like he was making a dagger. I watched him silently as he closed his eyes and hammered layer after layer of thought upon his dagger.
Within thirty minutes, the metal of the dagger had turned bright translucent. The blade was as clear as crystal or glass and the handle was black with no handguard. He held up the finished product and turned around to me. "This just took me an hour."
He handed the dagger to me by holding the blade. I took hold of it by the handle and I focused on Alice. 'Show me system information on this blade.'
'It is Ascendant. The blade has two half decent options. One to become invisible and the other to blink a maximum distance of 100 feet.'
I handed the dagger back to Svarein. "That's nice."
