My magic power suddenly filled back up and surpassed the previous amount and so I didn't waste any time as I activate the [Pyroclasm] skill again
I used the [Pyroclasm]skill again and again as I burnt my way through hundreds of [Fire Flies] as I made my way towards the dungeon boss room. By the time I got to the room of the dungeon boss, there were no more [Fire Flies] to kill. I have been cutting the crystals from the [Fire flies] whenever I got any time to rest and I could feel my purse was very heavy from all the monsters I killed. I checked my stats.

[The system has detected an unprecedented growth of Magic Power in relation to other stats. The system suggests slowing down the growth of this stat in order to achieve balance.]
[The Heart of Darkness disagrees with the system.]
[The Heart of Darkness sneers angrily at the system]
"For once, we both agree," I said to the Heart of Darkness. I needed my magic power to be as high as possible. Does this system think that I am satisfied with being an E rank forever? I'm aiming for something much higher than that and I will need as much magic power as possible if I want to achieve it.
Usually, it would be wise to wait for a while before entering the boss room so that I could regain my stamina, but I wasn't that tired because I have only been using skills all this while. I haven't even drawn my sword once. And since I plan to run this dungeon again, I needed to finish quickly.
I touched the door leading into the boss's room and it opened to allow me in. I walked in and the door closed behind me.
[You have entered the territory of the [Flame Serpent]. You cannot leave the room until you kill the dungeon boss]
[The [Flame Serpent] hisses at you angrily]
[Due to the passive effects of entering the boss room, all fire-based skills will be 20% less effective inside the boss room]
I looked at the large red serpent that was coiled around itself and staring down at me with fiery orange eyes. It had large fangs that were as long as my arm and when it moved, it left scorch marks on the floor. The [Flame Serpent] was the strongest monster from any F rank dungeon, and I knew that the drops I would get from it would also be very good.
Since I decided to test out my mana today, I will not use my sword to kill it. I'll try to kill it using only my skills.
Hiss~!
The snake hissed at me while I was still thinking and it suddenly lunged forward. I activated [Pyroclasm] and fifty balls of black fire appeared in the air and shot towards the snake. The black fire pushed the snake back, but it was not as effective as usual because of the penalty for being in the boss room.
'It doesn't matter,' I thought as I activated the skill again as the snake prepared for another attack 'I have more than enough Magic Power to drown it in fire.'
Hundreds of balls formed in the air and I started to snipe the snake from a distance. The snake would try its best to dodge and attack me, but I would just use more skills to bombard it and make it retreat again. This continued for a long while, and I could see that the snake was getting frustrated by its inability to land a clean hit on me. Some of its scales had fallen off because of the bombardment of skills and at this rate, I would end up killing it without even moving a muscle.
The snake hissed and moved back in a hurry to try out a different tactic since the first one was not working and from the corner of my eyes I saw a large red tail swing towards me at an insane speed. The snake was now trying to kill me using force. Rather than trying to get close to me, it wanted to incapacitate me at a distance before it would come in for the final kill.
This tactic would have worked if I was anyone else. Any other E ranker would have already fallen to the snake because they would have already run out of mana by now, but I was different. I activated the [Shadow Web] skill and hundreds of tiny invisible webs formed around the cave and held the snake in place. I watched the snake stop as if it ran into a wall.
It hissed angrily and tried its best to break out from the trap, but it was already weak because of all the skill that I used on it and so there was no way it would break out.
I immediately activated the [Pyroclasm] skill again, and this time it didn't have anywhere to run. The skill slammed into the snake and I continued using more and more of the skill until I saw that the snake stopped moving. I checked my magic power and I saw that I barely crossed half of it. I just took down an E ranked boss with only half of my magic power.
I wasn't very excited about the achievement because it was nothing compared to what I could do in my last life, but I was still impressed because, at this point in my last life, I wouldn't even dream of doing something like his. I could see the fruits of my effort and I loved it.
[You have killed the dungeon boss of the [Infernal Abyss], [Flaming Serpent]]
[Strength + 6]
[Stamina +5]
[The Heart of Darkness wishes to [Devour] the [Flaming Serpent]]
[If the dungeon boss is devoured, you will not receive any of the drops]
I didn't even need to say anything this time, it just narrowed my eyes and I could feel the Heart of Darkness grumble in my chest. This idiot needs to learn that the drops are more important than the mana from the dungeon boss. I know that the amount of mana that the dungeon boss has is much higher than what the small monsters outside had, but the skills that could be gotten are still more important.
"No," I said. And the system quickly started to make the dungeon boss disappear as the Heart of Darkness grumbled more. The boss vanished in a spray of golden light and in its place I saw two skill books and an armored vest lying there
[Heatwave Aura- E: Release waves of scorching heat, creating a blistering aura around yourself that damages and repels nearby enemies]
[Ember Rain- E: Summon a torrent of burning embers from the sky, bombarding a targeted area and causing widespread fire damage to all caught within.]
[Flame-forged Armor -E: A suit of armor meticulously crafted from reinforced fire-resistant scales of the Flaming Serpent. It offers exceptional defense against physical and heat-based attacks]
All of them were very good skills that I could utilize in battle easily and I didn't plan to sell any of them, so I immediately took the two skill books and absorbed them.
[The Heart of Darkness is trying to corrupt the two skills [Heatwave Aura] and [Ember Rain]. The two skills are trying to fight against the corruption.]
[The skills have failed to fight against the corruption. The corruption is successful.]
[[Heatwave Aura] has evolved into [Aura of Desolation - D-]]
[Aura of Desolation – Release waves of black fire, burning everything around you to ashes and repelling enemies]
[[Ember Rain] has evolved into [Rain of hellfire - D-]]
[Rain of Hellfire – Summon a torrent of black fire from the sky, bombarding a targeted area in flames and soot and causing widespread fire damage to all enemies within]
The Heart of Darkness quickly took control of these skills as well and I was happy with how things turned out, I took off the armor that I got from the smithy and put on the new armor that I just got as a drop. I would hold onto the previous armor in case I ever need it, but with the way things are going, I don't know if I will.
