Regan growled at the searing pain that coursed through his vein. He slowly opened his eyes when the pain felt like it had lessened, and looked at Nora, who was sleeping peacefully next to him.
And last night. What the hell happened last night? He had bitten her, out of his own will. He felt his teeth in his mouth– they have gone back to normal, and everything else. But why did it feel so troubling to bite her? He remembered the last time when he had wanted to bite her, he was able to resist the burning urge. But last night, he couldn't. It was so painful that he became scared himself.
And after he had bitten her, he felt something he had never felt before. They got married long ago, but last night it felt like she was finally his, that he had claimed her and the urge to protect her grew even stronger than it was.
