Before I knew it, I hit the ground hard, and pain shot through my body. I groaned in pain, feeling the bones in my body ache.
"My lady, are you okay?" Raven was already by my side. He took hold of my hand and helped me stand up.
"I'm fine..." I breathed, but I wasn't. I needed to stop being weak in situations like this. Weak? I questioned myself. I wasn't weak. I couldn't remember the last time I had enough sleep or food, and my whole body was in pain.
"Can we go now?" I asked.
Raven sighed and shook his head. "There's no point, they caught us," he said, and I looked around with wide eyes.
"What are we going to do?" I urged, snapping out of my shock.
"Don't worry, my lady." He pulled out his dagger and handed it to me. "If any of them come close to you, stab them, okay?"
I stared at the dagger in surprise, wondering how I could even use it when my legs were hurting so badly.
"Okay..." I nodded.
