"What was he doing?" I thought in shock as he stood in front of the men, a taunting smirk spreading across his lips.
"Hey scout, where is the princess?" the commander yelled.
Raven chuckled and looked up at the commander with a contemptuous frown. "You can't find the princess. Go back and tell your emperor that you failed. I'm warning you," Raven sneered.
"If you still want to find the princess, you have to fight me first," Raven added, drawing his sword.
He must have gone crazy. How can he fight these men alone? Fear and guilt filled my heart as I watched the men surround him. I couldn't bear to see him die. He had saved me even when I didn't deserve it. The emperor wanted me alive, so they could take me to him and leave Raven alone.
"Just kill him and find the princess," the commander ordered, and one of the men stepped forward to fight Raven.
