When I stepped in front of the dungeon, it was to a feeling of supreme anticipation, a heady sense… quite different than the almost anticipatory fear I felt before. Ah- how great it was. So exciting~
Our first sight was some blockade. Made for the express purpose of keeping the more mundane world - the non-military world - from whatever that blockade held.
But then… nothing.
Lily walked with confidence, gave some ID as needed; then walked me through. It was the opposite of the climactic battle - citizen vs government, monster vs human.
We were let through. That and that only.
Nothing.
No drama. Nothing.
I smirked.
Oh~
I laughed to myself.
After that though…
Ah-
That was where the true greatness happened. The true drama my heart oh' so craved. Mm~ wasn't that just the best. It brought a smile to my face even now as I remembered the scene she had made.
Hmm... What I remembered of it? Well, Lily and I walked there. She was greeted by a large grin and I a smile - not that I cared, I totally didn't - then the man grimaced as his phone pinged a notification.
"Sorry but we aren't allowed to let you in, important clients and all that, you understand?"
"I do." Lily nodded.
Then...
WHAM
I blinked, the guard blinked but he smiled. "Did-"
Lily smiled.
"It's quite a common occurrence."
I blinked again. "Ok." Forming my fingers into an 'O' shape.
Others gave a sort of cursory effort to stop us but they never really made it much farther than a word. One word. Really all that and they just backed down.
Boo~
They could've at least entertained me a bit more before dying to their cowardice.
Even then it was really quite amusing to know that Lily was able to do that. She could just punch out government officials and soldiers like nothing. And there wasn't any retaliation? I chose well.
Smiling I whistled a jaunty little tune. Something to... not lighten the mood... but give it this whimsical tune.
And now here I was. In front of this giant dungeon. Waiting and waiting. For she had promised me she would be back. Told me that she had to just 'resolve some issues' and that she would be back after that.
Quite sure that was code for threatening the officers not to talk, or something along those lines. But eh- I shrugged my shoulders - who cares.
Not me.

Lily pov
...
They must've seen a smile, a quite beatific one at that. The soldier glowered below my feet but that was just par for the course. They had blocked my way. My way. All because some rich asshole thought they could take my prey.
Oops~ There it was again. I hid my smile between a raised finger. Finally turning my attention to the squirming runt. "Now~ Now~" I sang. "We've an agreement, yes?"
His head fluttered up and down beautifully. Ah- I shivered at the power. Watched as his head thudded against the ground just to nod a bit better. The joy of being so feared~
I hummed a little tune. Something that only agitated the man further. Though eventually I had to let the little worm go, and with that he talked through that little walkie talkie of his. How cute~
"What was her name~?" I tapped my finger against my chin.
The soldier responded, thinking that it would lesson his punishment. Ah~ But we don't like disloyalty in the military do we.
"Hm... they do have free medical aid... I believe that's right anyway."
Oh what the hell. I thrust my leg down with moderate force. Oh~ And there was the crack. "Say bye-bye to your leg."
He screamed in pain, calling for a medic but I ignored the worm. Instead... instead. I shook my head. Some sort of damnable headache. "Hooh-" I breathed, lightly tapping a finger to my forehead.
Mm... that's better.
'Let's get back.'
If the quote-on-quote owners of this dungeon wanted to claim the small pittance they called their fee, then so be it. They could take it from my lifeless hands - ah- let my correct that, they could feel it scattered across their graves.
Yeah... that was the better, more apt, description.
They would make a delicious feast for my precious. That boy - I smiled wistfully - his eyes were full of inherent violence. He hid them well, and would've fooled many, but I wasn't in that majority of people.
I was traveled. As much as that might mean something.
And I could feel the almost raving thirst he craved. An unending violence that threatened to break free every single moment he stood next to me. His fangs sharpened, his lips wet themselves. His eyes carried a vampiric gaze.
Ah- but I found that just... just so endearing. Not that I would ever say such. God no, that would be much too embarrassing.
I waltzed through the little hut the officer had. Took the stash of money and pocketed it. "A little fee if you would..." I muttered. It was especially easy when you were perfect like me, perfect sight... perfect movement... perfect intuition. Heh- I snickered. A little inside joke.
There... he... was?
I turned to the portal. Turned to the innumerable guards too scared to make a single movement. Dragged my furious gaze over them. And then sighed. The drop in my stomach had gone away. But there still was that fear.
What if he wasn't good enough?
He is.
What if he dies?
He won't.
I touched the entrance of the portal. And just like that I was within the great labyrinthian deathtrap. Something thousands had given their deaths too. Who had fueled the current day economy.
For their lives had given us one thing. A great source of power.

"There you are." I spoke. It was in a deadpan voice; I hadn't quite caught the 'disappointed mother look and tone' not yet at least. But I would get it one day.
"Tired little one?" I questioned. His mouth murmured little bubbles of drowsy intent but my grip seemed to have woken him up. Terribly violently too.
He jumped and grumbled my name. Not that his grumbles could do anything. And soon he was... he was... I looked at that adorable pout, his tiny hands on the side of his hips.
Too cute~"
"Hah- Try not to get this tired in here. I need you fully alert."
He nodded.
"I'll trail. But this is your challenge. Grow."
With that I disappeared from sight. There was no way for him to detect me. Not now that I had devoted my entire being to stealth. And like the beast - not that he really was one, more like a little fluffy... ah- who was I kidding that boy... he was a beast. And like one he dashed through the darkened corridor. And into the dungeon proper.
