"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Louis hissed, her voice shaking with fury as she lunged for the phone. Desperation fueled her movements, but her haste only caused her to stumble awkwardly backward.
She teetered for a split second, her heart racing in panic before Travis's arm snaked around her waist, pulling her upright with a smooth motion.
Her breath caught in her throat as she found herself pressed against him, her body betraying her in its reaction. She felt the strength in his grip, the ease with which he'd steadied her, and suddenly the whole situation shifted.
His face was inches from hers, his expression calm, almost predatory, the sharp lines of his jaw highlighted by the faint light of the room.
For a moment, she forgot where she was. Forgot the peril she was in. All she could focus on was how intensely handsome Travis looked, his dark eyes locking onto hers with an almost magnetic pull. His lips curled into a smirk, and his gaze, slick and knowing, sent shivers down her spine. The air between them thickened, and her heart betrayed her by skipping a beat.
"Do you fall for me just yet?" His voice was like velvet, deep and smooth, dripping with an arrogance that only made her blush harder. It slipped into her ears like a drug, intoxicating her senses.
Louis's breath hitched, her anger fading as a new sensation—one she hated to admit—took its place. Lust. Her body's reaction was immediate, undeniable, and she cursed herself for it. For the briefest of moments, the weight of the situation was forgotten, replaced by a pull she couldn't control.
'Why is he so perfect at everything?' Louis thought, the realization hitting her like a cold splash of water.
She quickly snapped out of her daze, straightening herself as she stood up with as much composure as she could muster. Travis, with a knowing smirk, removed his arm from her waist and stepped back, the space between them filled with unspoken tension.
"Travis, I would very much like it if you deleted that photo," she said, her voice steady but the plea evident.
Travis shook his head, still wearing that infuriating grin. "There's nothing in the contract that says I have to listen to your every command, so... no."
Her frustration boiled over as she lunged for the phone again, but Travis was faster, casually pressing one hand against her forehead, holding her back with an almost playful ease.
"Nuh-uh," he teased, amusement dancing in his eyes. "I'm keeping this photo in my album. One day, we'll look back at it and laugh. But for now, don't think too much about it. It's not like I'm going to show anyone."
Before she could react, Travis grabbed her arm and pulled her sharply against him, her body colliding with the firmness of his chest. Her breath caught as she was drawn so close that she could feel the warmth radiating off him, her heart racing uncontrollably.
He bent down, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered, "Photos of my women are meant for my eyes only."
A wave of heat rushed through her body, making her ears burn bright red. The tingling sensation that surged from her ear and spread through her veins left her momentarily paralyzed, a slight twitch betraying the conflict between her mind and body.
Travis chuckled to himself as he pulled on his pants, the sly grin never leaving his face. Louis, standing there with her phone, had a victorious smirk on her lips, holding her own ground in their twisted game.
"I guess we're even," she said, raising the phone slightly as if to seal her triumph.
Travis turned to her, smiling genuinely, almost impressed. "I honestly like feisty women. Am I Saiyan or something?" He mused as he finished getting dressed, not even bothered by her little act. With one last nod, he walked out.
As the bell rang, signaling breaktime, Travis took a deep breath. "Guess it's time to grab something to eat."
When he arrived at the cafeteria, he was greeted by the sight of a ridiculously long line. As he inched forward, his eyes landed on the lunch lady. A thought crossed his mind, half-joking, half-serious.
'Oh yeah, there's a new lunch lady now. No specific route, but... I might tap that. No issues with getting with a gilf,' he thought, his internal monologue laced with humor.
While others saw just another old woman, Travis saw potential. After all, he prided himself on giving love where it was needed. He laughed internally, thinking of himself like Soldier Boy from *The Boys*
[ A/N : I might write a fan fiction about that one day ]
Travis grabbed his tray, taking his seat in a quiet corner of the cafeteria. He wasn't in the mood for track training, his body already on autopilot after the day's strange encounters. Today felt like an unplanned breather, and he welcomed it. He leaned back, letting his mind drift as he poked at his food.
'Tomorrow's a big day,' he thought, the weight of it creeping in slowly.
His mental checklist unraveled. 'Okay, date with Judith... Then meeting Ronda at the pool... What else?' His brow furrowed in concentration for a moment. 'Liu? Nah, not gonna bother with her anymore. That's pretty much it.'
With his Saturday sorted, he mentally reserved Sunday as his downtime. No plans, no stress—just a day to recharge. He scarfed down the last bite of his meal, the bland cafeteria food barely registering as his thoughts continued to spin.
Finished with his tray, Travis decided to roam the school aimlessly. He noticed the absence of the girls in the hallways, which at first struck him as odd. Then it hit him—they were avoiding him.
He let out a long sigh, shaking his head slightly. 'I don't have time to apologize. I'll deal with them later,' he thought, pushing the situation to the back of his mind. There were more important things to handle right now.
[Time Passed]
The final bell echoed, signaling the end of the school day. Travis stepped out of the gate, stretching his limbs as he inhaled the cool evening air. The weekend had finally begun, and with it came the opportunity to make more money. His mind was already racing through the weekend plans, eager for the break from school life.
Just as he was about to head home, a nagging thought struck him—Erik's tournament tomorrow. He groaned, remembering that weird card he had promised to get for him.
"Shit," he muttered under his breath, cursing himself for not picking it up earlier.
With no time to waste, he made his way to the mall, weaving through the afternoon crowd until he arrived at the geek store. The familiar scent of new plastic and game manuals filled the air as he entered.
Behind the counter stood the cute employee, her bright smile and short hair catching his eye.
'Should I tap that?' he mused, his thoughts drifting as he gave her a once-over. 'Yeah, maybe later.'
He made the purchase quickly, grabbing the card and heading back home, his mind already shifting to more important things for the weekend.
