"Tell me, Krampus, are you ready and willing to melt the glass and reshape it as often as it takes?"
Krampus closed his eyes for a second, then opened them. His eyes showed red; however, it was not the red he saw at the moment they first met, nor the red he saw when Krampus seemed to burst in anger.
It was somewhere in the middle, and with a strong voice, Krampus announced, "Yes, whatever it takes, I will shape it again and again and again until not a single crac is left."
Amon needed no more—this gaze, the color in his eyes, the tone of his voice. Amon was sure this man would do everything for his master's safety.
Amon, let Krampus go. He said nothing; a single nod was enough. As Amon nodded, he felt as if he saw something that could be related, such as a smile or a short yellow shine that vanished in the moment. Krampus' gaze fell on the gate.
Krampus touched the gate with both of his hands.
Ding, Dong, Ding, Ding.
In the moment Krampus touched the gate,
The sound of a bell rang out, the bell struck against chains, and the reverberation grew louder and deeper.
In Krampus's right hand appeared a kind of rod made of several small branches tied tightly together.
With all his might, Krampus hit the door with the rod, even if it consisted only of wooden branches. The force was so powerful that it almost lifted the heavy gate wings off the hinges.
A room with pitch-black tiles, columns, and walls was visible. In the middle of this room stood a golden cube; the cube shone and illuminated the room shrouded in darkness.
In the middle of the cube, however, there was something; it was a face. A feminine face could be seen, but no more—no hair, no limbs, just a face.
Krampus sprinted towards the golden cube and screamed, "Master!"
Krampus sprinted until he stood close to the face, which was at the height of his enormous horns.
Krampus paused for a few moments, lowered his head, looked at the golden cube, and slowly descended.
Krampus began to move his hands in a circular motion in front of his body. A red energy flowed from his hands and surrounded the cube. The engergie contracted and is now pressing with full force against the golden cube.
In all five seconds, Krampus movements became faster and more forceful; his movements were now not even compareable to the smooth motions that resembled soft waves in the ozian; the soft waves became a storm; he repeated this again and again until the cube broke. The sound of shattering glass was heard as the cube broke into pieces smaller than the tip of a finger nail.
As the woman trepped inside the cube, she fell out and landed in Krampus embrace, where the small pieces turned to dust.
Krampus gazed down at the woman he just caught. Krampus carried her as if she were a princess, as if she were the most important being in this man's life.
When the Krampus passed by Amon, Leon, and Bruna, they saw a woman with purple disheveled hair, pale skin, and two wings that covered her naked body, as if they wanted to protect the woman.
One of her feathers fell to the ground. Amon picked it up and noticed that the feather had a beautiful violet tone. The feathers of the wings were just so dirty that Amon thought they were gray.
Nobody said even a single word, even if they wanted to know everything about this woman, but they couldn't. As they saw Krampus, who looked constantly into the woman's face, they knew that Krampus mind would show him all the memories he made with this woman, the good and bad ones.
They proceeded to walk and arrived at a spacious area, similar to the area where Amon, Leon, and Bruna fought against the statue.
Krampus looked out for a place where he could lie his master down. Amon noticed that he reached into the black ball, took out the white fur from the gorilla, and laid it down in front of Krampus. Krampus bowed his head slightly, laid the woman down, and sat on a rock a meter next to her.
Amon went cross-legged and looked at Krampus. Krampus opened his mouth; it seemed he wanted to say something, but in the end he decided not to say it and remained silent.
"I see this is your master; you were so proud of her, but first of all, let her rest. Bruna is the best healer on this continent. Take a rest."
"No, I can't. I nested for way too long already. She can heal her, but I will sit here and watch them." Amon could not see Krampus eyes, but he was sure that whatever he said from now on would be meaningless. Krampus was determined to sit there, watch, and be the first there when she woke up. Amon stood up and walked towards Leon.
The two of them stood far away from the others. Amon came closer towards Leon and said, "I am sure now that Krampus is an elf."
Leon looked at Amon in confusion, but then remembered that the person who told him so was married to an elf, so there was no wonder he knew about it. Leon's urge to know information rose; he could not wait; he had to ask.
"And why do you know that?" Leon asked.
"First of all, his ears; they are an elf's ears; second is the fact that he said nest instead of rest. Roxanne once told me that nest elf's meant that they were too weak and lazed for too long. It became rare, but she got told when she was little that older people once still used this."
"And about how old do we talk about?" Leon asked; his urge for information was far from being satisfied; he knew nothing about elfes, but at the same time he did not want to ask Roxanne too much about it; once he asked too much in the past, he nearly got stabbed by Roxanne.
Of course, this was a few years ago, but the fact still existed in his head—the fact that only Amon was allowed to speak about these things with her and no one else.
"Seventy to eighty, but he pronounced it differently than Roxanne did it back then. In my memory, she pronounced the N longer and not the S as he did."
Amon touched his chin and thought, if he simply remembered wrong or if this was some kind of exent, one thing was for sure: he wanted that Krampus and Roxanne would meet each other.
In the end, Roxanne only lived for three years with other elves; the rest she spent in prison. Talking to another elf could make her happy, and this was everything that counted.
"Master, are you alright? Does your body hurt somewhere?"
The attention switched to Krampus, and he held the woman's hand into his hairy hands.
The woman ruffled herself up and stared into Krampus eyes for a short time before she spoke.
"Krampus, is that you?"
