Chereads / The only Unblessed / Chapter 45 - Leon's Dungeon Ordeal

Chapter 45 - Leon's Dungeon Ordeal

Leon was chained in the dungeons of Verdan Castle. His left hand dangled midair, connected by a chain to a pillar on his left side, with the same arrangement holding true for his right hand.

He was dirty and had torn clothes that tore as well as his flesh when he was chained.

The king himself stood in front of him, holding a wipe.

"You know, Leon, many people think of a whip as something as harmless as a horse rod used on a horse. But what many underestimate is that this horse rod is already a dangerous weapon that can injure horses, and in many countries around the world, whiplashes are used as punishment."

The king tried to explain something to Leon, but Leon heard it more and more muffled and worse with every second. He was exhausted, both mentally and physically, and on the verge of fainting.

"Listen to me! The king screamed and whipped Leon in the stomach three more times.

The king's shouting and the combination of a friction sound along with a slightly damp sound as the wipe comes into contact with the flesh helped throw the dungeon.

The guards and prisoners who were in the dungeon They heard every single word and deed their king uttered.

The guards wondered if this was really their king, the king known and loved for his gentleness and good nature. While the prisoners crouched in the corners of their cells and prayed to their gods that they weren't next.

"I truly can't see how people can even think that these things are not weapons. I mean, look, it is a normal wipe, and now it is capable of ripping the flesh of your open hand, Leon. The first of the twelve coats of arms."

The king ran his hand over the blood-splattered part of the whip and admired his work. Which he called Leon's bloody fall.

"You're right, this thing is capable of breaking the sound barrier. But you shouldn't forget one thing: I may be the first member of the Twelve Coats of Arms. But I'm nowhere near the strongest."

Leon smiled and sank together. His brain was the smartest and most magnificent in the world. But his body was not that strong; he was, of course, not weak; he was still an A+-Rank magican. But in the end, he fought smartly and not with full-body contact.

"You are right, but now we should get serious. I still need information from you."

The King tossed his wipe away into the dirt of what was once considered Leon's lunch and pulled out a golden dagger that was bestowed with a green crystal in its hilt.

Look, the crystal in the hilt of this dagger looks just like this one here on your shoulder." The king used his dagger to cut the green, shining crystal out of Leon's body. He made sure to slip a few times and rip his flesh while cutting the crystal out.

"Look how it shines, and now tell me. How does Amon hide his Mana traces?" The king showed the blood-covered green crystal that shined bright and lit the dungeon in a beautiful green shimmer.

"I pulled that one already sixteen times out to sell it. You're going to have to get a little more creative to torture me with something I haven't done to myself."

---

"Okay, I figured this out. The scrole of the travelor works similarly to the warp crystals we use in the guild; the only difference is that it is way more powerful and practical. We can at most warp two people with one crystal, and after 20 unseses, it breaks apart and is useless. But the things I saw while reading the parchment with the sketch of the item were that porting whatever you want is possible and that it can be brought to you. However, it has one weakness."

Personia smiled and continued with her explanation, sounding like a professor.

"We just have to think about the place we want to warp ourselves, and as long as you have the authority for it, nothing stops you. But with the skill of the treveler, you need precise information about the goal that you want to reach or the thing that you want to bring to you."

"This makes sense then; when they at first sent troups out in the forest as if they were dumps, they wanted to look around and make a picture of the surroundings, but then I have one question. How did they introduce themselves for the first time? They should have no information about the guild building. I mean, one of them even landed in your private lab. Where nobody has exes."

Arthure had a point: if you needed exact information, where should the goal be? How did they introduce themselves to the guild for the very first time?

"This answer lies here in this long and complicated form, and all of you didn't even think about understanding it."

Even if Personia sounded arrogant with that, she was right. The magic formula was a way to explain a magic spell using nothing else but math. Magic was nothing else but a kind of science that the three founders of magic once created. They used their knowledge of blessings, science, and mana together to create what is called arcmagic, and with that, they did not create magic; they created a new scientific research area.

Nearly every mage hates this fact about magic, and because of that reason, they simply decide to use their blessing. Amon would never even think about learning this, and Cedric would too. Vlad and Jeanne's blessings were so powerful that they had to even think about studying them. Arthure was the only one who showed interest in this feed, but since he was never as good at it as Personia, Eric, or other professions, he decided to study magic in his own way, and the same thing counted for Meng too. He did not hate it, but he also did not like it. He only studied it because he thinks that he has to do it as a magician.

"You can use its second function too. The random port That's how I called it. You mark a specific area and then get ported to a random position that you select. If you really think about it, how did the soldiers react when they were ported into the castle?"

"They looked around and had no idea where they could be. The one who was in your lab didn't even know where he was; he just tried to stab me in the moment he saw me, and the same will apply to the others when we ask the people who were there in the moment will without any doubt be able to tell us this."

Vlad, Meng, and Jeanne weren't in the guild. From the people in this room, only Arthure, Amon, and Personia were in the guild during the first attack.

"Bingo 1000 points for Amon. This and the form, together with the notes and sketches, were essential for me to come up with this clue."

The people in the room felt like they should now applaud this cause. It was truly the only true person who could come up with something like that.

"Personia, before the enemy teleported their soldiers into the castle for the first time. Did you say something about a communication corruption item? What happened to that item, and can we use it in some way?"

Amon remembered that Personia mentioned this before the first port attack. This was the name the five gave to these attacks while discussing the Scrole of the Travelor item.

"Hehehe, this is something you don't need to ask me. Personia picked her white crystal out of her pocket, warped herself to her lab, and brought the goblet that she wanted to show you back then.

"I finished it while you were in Nasia Amon. This is the communication corruption item, and with that, these attacks will be over. We just need to use the item, and the information from the scroll of the traveler will be either changed or brought to chaos."

"And where is the downside?" Cedric asked; he was smart enough to get that Personia would have already used this item when it would work now. Personia sat down and began to explain.

"The downside is that I need something to finish it and make it worth using, and this is a power feather. The real shit part is that the Verdan Kindom is probably searching for it in order to make the scrole of the traveler the ultimate item, which would be their ultimate win."
