Elora was in denial after witnessing the cruel death of her one faithful lover, who she had betrayed by heart for falling in love with another man.
Yet still he betrayed that man to be with her only love Levine but he was taken away from her.
Why? She questioned the supreme and his gods for leaving her with this kind of fate.
She wandered around the beautiful field which she used to come with Levine to hide from her brother and father.
After Levine's death, she soon found out that she was pregnant but sadly it wasn't Levine's but rather Raul's.
It made her feel guilty about her dear faithful lover. She alone buried Levine in the thick forest, where only she would visit.
She tried to find out about his family but strangely they were nowhere to be found and since Elora was pregnant with another man's child, rumors about her started to spread, calling her all kinds of names.
Most used was her being a loose woman. News spread fast and for that reason, her marriage to Edmond could not push through even though Edmond insisted on marrying her but his father protected against it.
She was hidden away in one of the old castles and there she would sit near the window and look up in the sky and her eyes filled with sorrow. Her black hair cascaded around her shoulders, framing a face etched with pain.
Elora who was once a happy and cheerful maiden now felt broken and shattered inside her.
Outside the walls of the castle, thunder rolled in the distance, echoing the storm that raged within Elora's heart.
Her lover was no more and now she carried a powerful guardian's child. Unfortunately, she couldn't visit Vallee due to her fear and anger towards Raul.
She believed he was the one who killed Levine. She recalled a man in white clothing and long and beautiful silver hair with a sword walking away after putting a sword into Levine's heart.
Inwardly she wanted to revenge Levine's death but how could she, she was a nobody.
Suddenly she felt a kick in her stomach, she was already a few months old. She was happy and also sad, but who could she complain to? She was all alone in this gloomy castle.
Meanwhile, Roseline discovered that the man she was in love with and living with was the devil in disguise.
Unfortunately, she was pregnant with his baby but she hadn't revealed it yet to him. She was caught backing her things to leave for good.
"And where do you think you are running to my dear Roseline?" he asked which startled her since her back was facing him.
"I am leaving and I am not coming back so move away" she firmly said but internally she was shivering and scared of the man in front of her.
"Hmm I can't let you do that, I still need you to do more work for me"
"No more, I won't do your dirty work again, never again you sly fox" she raised her voice.
Before she knew it her neck was grabbed by the man she believed loved her.
"I-I -I can't b-b-breath…." she was being strangled. Seeing how much pain she was in made him feel so much pleasure that he didn't want to stop strangling her.
A knock on the door saved Roseline's life.
"Is anyone there, I will like to talk to Mrs. Roseline"
He lets go of her after hearing a man's voice.
" Khoff, Khoff!!!" she coughed.
He walked to the door and opened it and blocked it with his body and spoke to the man. In a few minutes, he was back seeing Roseline seated quietly on the bed.
"It seems you are back to your old self"
"Who are you? I know the man you said you are was just something you made up so who are you?"
"I like how smart you are and for that reason, I will tell you everything so do not be overwhelmed"
"Just say it"
He smiled at her calm reaction. "My real name is Lucian, a fallen god, and guardian"
He revealed every plan he had to her, the information was too much for her to handle and overwhelming. She couldn't believe the man she was currently pregnant for was no ordinary man who has evil intentions towards humanity.
"I can't let him know I am pregnant, he will probably kill me and the baby" she whispered to herself.
"I will stay but I won't do any dirty work, I can't but I won't run away" she assured him.
Time flew by like the wind and days turned into months. Things were changing and new beginnings were coming up.
The spirit realm...
Days passed and Rhoda was surprised to notice her belly growing bigger, she doubted herself about being pregnant and ignored it.
But for a while, she couldn't ignore it and consulted the goddess of midwifery.
She confirmed for her that she was indeed pregnant, it was a joyful day but still sad.
She wanted to let Raul know of this beautiful news but he wasn't around.
A meeting was held at Avion, it seemed there was an urgent meeting that needed to be attended to.
"It seems the fox spirit has been hovering around the three realms" The god of war Triand stated.
"That is impossible, we sealed its soul, there is no way it escaped" goddess of beauty Arena confirmed.
"That is not the case Arena, it seems when chaos and darkness escaped the pit, some sealed souls managed to escape and the fox spirit is one of them" Kirrinoth explained.
"Then it's bad news for every one of us here, Fox spirit can take any form it pleases and plant doubt among us and even the mortals" Paxive explained further.
"It can't be helped we need to get rid of it" Kali stated.
"How when we don't know what it looks like or perhaps he is among us" Kirrinoth stated.
(Gods and guardians murmuring)
"Leave it to us guardians we will do everything in our power to resolve this issue" Paxive assured them.
"Hmmm, you are outnumbered but if you insist prove to us that we can still trust guardians" Triand stated.
Mortal realm…
Roseline couldn't hide her pregnancy anymore and so she revealed it to Lucian.
To her surprise, Lucian welcomed her and the unborn child who in a few days will be born.
But her happiness did not last, as she witnessed something horrible, Lucian was kissing someone who seemed to be a man.
It was a passionate kiss that made her heart feel the pain she couldn't imagine.
Meanwhile, something terrible happened in the Kingdom of Demacus, as an army raided their kingdom.
Elora found out too late, and it was painful enough to walk with her big belly but she run as fast as her feet could get her and fortunately made it to the Kingdom
It was already too late, houses were burnt down and the castle was half burnt. She saw the lifeless body of her father, brother, and his wife lying bare on the ground.
Many dead bodies, she screamed so hard she could feel her jaw breaking. Her body tensed and she was losing control of herself.
The pain and anguish didn't end there, she saw the same man with silver hair and a sword which was stained with blood and also his face covered with a trace of blood.
He smiled at her misfortune, she immediately recognized who it was.
"Raul!!!!" She called out but he turned away from her. She suddenly felt something come out of her and so she slowly looked down and the was blood.
She screamed yet again.
Her worst nightmare came true as she bleeds and watches Raul walk away from her. He hated him, he took everything from her.
Unfortunately, Elora lost her baby because there was no one to help her.
Her cheerful eyes now have no light in them. She couldn't bury her child and kept holding her in the old castle.
She was in her room holding the dead baby for week. Suddenly the door opened and her one true friend came in holding a beautiful baby boy.
Roseline didn't waste time and started speaking non-stop.
"I can't let my child be raised by that demon so please exchange your dead baby with me, you can have him, I don't want him to end up like his father"
She took a look at the baby and felt like she had met someone with the same eyes and a beautiful smile.
Roseline pleaded with her a few more times and finally, she gave in.
Elora gave her lifeless baby to Roseline in exchange for her baby.
Roseline thanked her friend and decided to leave only to be stabbed by her friend in the back.
"I am sorry Roseline but I have bigger plans," she said and took both her lifeless baby and Roseline's baby.
Roseline was left alone in the castle to bleed out.
Elora was determined to seek revenge on Raul and everyone who caused her harm, even if it is about betraying her friend.
Her plan was to switch her lifeless baby with Rhoda's baby which she recently heard was the wife of Raul from the three witches she visited.
In order to be able to enter the spirit realm unnoticed she sacrificed her worm to the witches and entered the spirit realm.
She had limited time and so she entered on the day of Rhoda's due date. Due to exhaustion and time spent on the delivery, many of the female midwives left leaving a mother and child on the bed.
She reached the bed and carefully placed her dead baby on her side and took hers and immediately left.
All of a sudden an idea popped up and she decided to leave Roseline's baby in the spirit realm and in the care of Raul.
She left the baby and took Rhoda's baby who was a girl and Roseline's a boy.
She returned to the mortal realm after switching the babies and returned with only Rhoda's child.
Elora was still not satisfied and so she decided to kill the baby girl and who couldn't stop crying.
She took the baby to the thick forest late in the night and drew out a sword ready to strike her.
