Chapter 34 - [Bonus chapter] Tsundria

Wielding a bow and still asumming a shooting position, the green-eyed beauty was a sight to behold. However, it was not only her beauty that mesmerised Byron. There was something else. The creature she was flying by.

Its hind part resembled a lion, its front parts a pure brown eagle. Half-eagle, half-lion.

'Holy shit!'

It was not his first-time seeing a griffin. On earth, there were many games and movies with such a creature as a character. This didn't mean Byron was not surprised, though. He used to consider them mythical creatures but now... now one of them was right in front of his eyes.

Uh... well, maybe he still needed to call it a mythical creature. He also was in a mythical world, after all.

'I got admit that this picture looks awesome.'

Back to the Venomous Beauty, she remained in a shooting position for a few seconds, making sure that the big bastard was dead. She then dismissed her bow before the three-eyed guy could even fall onto the ground. She must have received Almighty Interpreter's notification.

Byron watched as the monster staggered and fell to its right side, three arrows with blue fletchs protruding from its three eyes. A tremor run through the ground as a result.

At the same time, the Venomous Beauty drove her griffin toward Byron who stood up and took steps forward to meet the remaining Infected Monsters.

This time, the bigger one was in front, ready to avenge its master. That did not protect it from Byron's blade. The small one behind shared the same fate, too.

He had killed four monsters!

Of course it was not his first time. Back then, he killed eleven by tricking them to fall into a canyon. Now, it was by his own blade.

His blade!

'This is quite a progress. Next time I'll kill the big guy.'

He now knew where to find them. A trip here was all it would take him to kill the big bastard. As for now, his gaze was fixed on the Venomous Beauty.

'We've got another taming to do!'

When her griffin neared the ground, white mist sparkled around it, and it disappeared afterwards. It was a Replica. She could dismiss or summon it whenever she wanted.

'Impressive!'

The beauty landed on her feet gently, marching toward Byron afterwards. She was unlike any other girl he had ever seen. Her bob hairstyle gave her modern vibe. It was black, its edges in a blue balayage to match her blue bikini-like outfit.

With long and slender legs like those Byron used to read in Chinese novels, she looked flamboyant, not to mention her enormous butt and breasts which were almost twice Peony's.

'Why am I gulping? Damn!'

"You must be Byron, right?" The beauty initiated the conversation. Byron was still captivated by her heavenly body to even say hi.

But wait! Did she say Byron?

'How come she knows me?'

'Interesting!'

Her hand was outstretched so Byron stretched his for a hand shake.

"You're not mistaken."

The beauty pulled away her soft hand, her expression somber.

"They told me you're a genius . I didn't expect to instead meet an idiot who just throws his life at the Infected Monsters without first thinking it through."

Byron didn't like her demeanor and choice of words.

"Are you sure I didn't think it through?"

The beauty took a step to approach the three-eyed bastard.

"That's not neccesary. You should ask me for advice instead."

She didn't wait for him to even understand what she meant by her words. "Next time, make sure you engage in battle where your chances of winning are at least 25%. If not, tell someone powerful like Kyron to assist you.'

What did she mean? That Byron didn't even have 25% in his battle against the monsters? That he could not fight without Kyron? This was an insult.

'I killed four of them while you killed only one, dammit!'

He felt like refuting her, but something else was nagging at the back of his brain.

"I don't even know you. Mind introducing yourself and how come you know everything about me?"

Of course she had said they had told her. But who? Who had told her about him? Did she have a spy at the Drumline Castle? A spy to spy Byron?

'This is ridiculous!'

"We agreed to meet near the Dead Forest," the beauty replied while slashing her ruby dagger through the monster's chest. "Do you really don't know me?"

Agreed to meet?

This meant she was one of the Nexus Group. They had agreed to meet near the Dead Forest and continue their journey to the Dungeon of Desires together.

"I agreed with a group. Not a one person. I'm not an oracle. How was I supposed to know the members and their names?" Byron refused to be the one to blame.

"I'm Tsundria!"

"Huh?"

"Tsundria!" she repeated herself.

"What a weird name!"

Byron didn't hide his ridicule toward the name. Why would he? The beauty had decided to be mean. Why would he be humble?

She was done extracting the Pigment Pot. A jade diamond-like punch-sized gem.

Staring at it, her lips parted to say,

"At least my name has a meaning. What about yours?"

'Meaning?'

Maybe there was, but Byron didn't know the meaning of his name. That didn't mean he would accept defeat, though.

"What does having meaning mean?" he harrumphed and asked, continuing without a yellow light. "I would rather have a name with good pronunciation than some garbage word with a meaning."

Byron didn't want to mean that her name was not sexier than his while pronounced. It was only because of something he was not quite understanding. The name sounded familiar in his ears. He had heard it somewhere before and...

'Oh! I found it! It sounds like Tsundere. No wonder her demeanor is questionable.'

The beauty ignored his words and approached another dead body. The one of the bigger monster.

'What does she think she's doing?'

"Hey! Those are my kills." he yelled to stop her from stealing his Pigment Pots.

As if she was deaf, she proceeded and extracted the Pigment Pot. Surprisingly, she threw them to him and said, "Do you think I have a use for these? Hmn! I can't blame you for thinking like that. You're still too young to know how useless they're."

Byron was like, 'really?'

Even the Goddess of Beauty had never called him young. But this... this goddamned Tsundria was treating him like a little boy.

'This taming is going to be difficult!'

"If she makes it difficult for you, just kill her!" It was the Goddess of Beauty.

'Are you nuts? The dude has a griffin and no use for Pigment Pots. How the hell can I kill her?'

Byron was just blubbering. Even if he had a way to kill her, her beauty didn't deserve such a fate. He was also ready to accept challenge. Because, as the saying went, the most difficult to find, the most precious.

'I'll tame her!'
