After extracting all the Pigment Pots, Byron drew a portal on the ground to send them into a case in his cave back at the Drumline Castle. He had long drawn a portal inside that case, too, with simple intentions. To be able to keep things inside the case and retrieve them whenever he would need them.
When Tsundria saw the quill, the expression on her asian face became suspicious. Perhaps it reminded her of the God of Desires and whichever memories she shared with him. That was no big deal. However, she was looking at it with longing eyes.
'I hope she doesn't plan to take it from me.'
Byron sent the last Pigment Pot. He then ordered the dragon riders to go back and bring Peony and Gillian. He was sure that by now, the porters had gotten used to their job of catching the rabbits and sending the fruits to the castle. There was no need to keep his girls there.
He also needed Peony so as to know how to handle Tsundria. Because, if she was a Venomous Beauty, they would probably know each other, right?
Only one dragon rider left. Others remained behind to dismantle the dead monsters for their hides and other valuable items.
Now, Byron and his team marched toward the Dead Forest. Tsundria was leading the way to show them where she had left her team.
While on their way, Byron tried to crack a conversation with her. In the process, he learnt that she was the scouter for Nexus Group. Her griffin allowed her to fly and observe their way from the skies, after all.
'It'll be good to have her on my side.'
This reminded him something that had been nagging at the back of his brain.
'Beauty Goddess, how come you're sure she's a Venomous Beauty?'
From what the goddess had once told him, the venomous beauties were out there, roaming the world and waiting for men to fall into their claws. Why was Tsundria living with other people then?
"Some Venomous Beauties had decided not to live a lonely life and blended with humans. They change their identities or migrate to other places every now and then to avoid being suspected. I was able to know her by her scent."
These people kept saying scent, smell, scent... even the Patriach said he was able to know that Byron had become powerful through his aura. However, Byron didn't know how.
'How do you do it?'
"Think about it and focus," the goddess explained. "You'll be able to feel it. Especially, once you become powerful and more experienced, you'll be able to feel it without even having to think about."
"It's not only about the scents and aura," the goddess continued. "It can also help you to know levels of the monsters, people, Legacies and Replicas."
Was this why the riders were able to know the ranks of the Ruby Wolves so easily? Obviously!
'You'll teach me about in our next lesson, right?'
The goddess harrumphed.
"Don't disrespect me. I teach only one thing."
'OK then!' Byron didn't want to argue with a lustful goddess who thought that teaching about sex was respectable than teaching one how to become powerful.
'Tell me about it while teaching me your highly respected lessons.'
"Sure!"
By now, a group of five people was slowly coming into Byron's view. They were sitting down, there backs pressed against the trunk of a long fallen giant tree. Saying a tree, one would mistake it to really be a tree. No! It was something collosal to the extent that its trunk taller than Byron, at least a hundred or so meters long with an over five meter radius.
His eyes swiped across the faces of two ladies and three guys. There was nothing interesting to talk about them. Just a bunch of young hunters clad in their armors, mostly black for guys and white for girls.
The group stood up to greet Byron and his team, Tsundria introducing them one by one.
"This is Benitha," Tsundria touched the shoulder of black haired girl with a tanned skin. "She thinks she's stronger than me. Actually, better than everyone except this hero Byron who gave her a chance to eat an apple."
'What a weird introduction!'
Tsundria tried hard to annoy Byron. Only if she knew that he was not paying any attention. His attention was drown to a sappling grown on that collosal trunk. The sappling was as green as a plant planted in fertile soil near a lake. It was as if the sapling had grown from inside the tree.
Byron could imagine having such a tree at the castle. All the trees in the Dead Forest were long dead as the name suggested. If he was successful in making the sapling grow at the Drumline Castle, it would be a great achievement for humanity. The revival of the Alive Giant Trees Forest.
'I can't leave it here!'
With this thought, he made something that startled everyone. Levitating.
He had summoned Purple Bubbles to help him reach the sappling.
"It's green!" The girl Tsundria was introducing shouted as she saw the sapling.
Her joyous exclamation didn't surprise Byron, though. Something else did. It was hard to find a normal tree or plant after the god's war, especially in Nexus Regions and Drumline Castle. She had a good point to feel happy. What surprised Byron was the response he got after carefully extracting the sapling.
[You have received a Legacy, Movable Invisible.]
Nothing had been logical from the minute Byron transmigrated. However, this one was the most illogical of all. Because, from what he knew, one was to receive a Legacy after killing an Infected Monster or receiving it as a gift from another person.
What kind of a sick joke was this Movable Invisible then?
He decided to turn to Almighty Interpreter for explanation.
[Legacy: Movable Invisible.]
[Legacy description: I'm an unfortunate god, dying beside an unfortunate tree. How unlucky! This Kawa is lying on the ground for it wouldn't move and escape from those who cut it down. I'm dying because I wasn't invisible to hide from those warmonger gods. That makes you lucky to have stumbled upon this dagger. It's movable and invisible. Avenge our deaths.]
'An invisible knife?'
Byron summoned the Legacy to do some experiments. Nothing happened. No sparkling mist. No knife appeared in his hands.
'Let me read its Enhancements!'
At least these would give him additional information about the Movable Invisible.
[Enhancements: [Mental Submissive.] [As you Wish.]
'As you wish?'
'Oh my! This god was really dying to give something such a name.'
With this thought, Byron focused on one of the enhancements.
[Enhancement: Mental Submissive.]
[Enhancement description: This dagger obeys the owner like a maid to her young master. Just think. It will slash.]
[Enhancement: As you wish.]
[Enhancement description: While carrying out its duties, you're free to choose whether to see this dagger or not. However, a powerful opponent can also be able to see it if you put it in visible mode. Do as you want!]
This meant that Byron had a weapon, invisible and submissive to his mental commands. A smile appeared on his face. Though this was totally unexpected, he had to admit that this weapon was a boon.
"What's up with you?"
It was Tsundria.
Byron had completely forgotten that there were people watching his every move.
"I'm extracting a Kawa's sapling." He had learnt the name of these enormous trees through the Legacy description. "What don't you see?"
"That's obvious!" she replied. "What I meant was, what are you doing hanging in the air and grinning like a fool?"
"Thought you were the only one who can fly?"
After this question, Byron lowered his hand toward her. "Here, hold it for me for a second!"
He wanted to fly higher and see how far the bubbles could take him. A strategy to pass time while waiting for Gillian and Peony to arrive.
"I'm not your servant!"
"Says someone who came all the way from the Nexus Regions to meet me," he teased.
