"Mage class... I didn't expect that I would be coming here."
"Why not?" Kara looked at me strangely.
"For one, I'm an aura user, second, I barely attend my own classes."
A thing to keep in mind is that all first years have the choice of five classes for their first year in the academy. My classes were originally chosen by Raveil before I took his place. A mastery class which became Aura mastery after awakening. Dungeon combat training, monster records, territory management, and merchantry.
"What are you even doing here?" Asha was blatantly glaring at me. "This class is for students who wants to learn magic casting."
"I'd like to see the people I'd be working with in the future."
It wasn't that far off from the truth. I came here to check on the major characters of the novel. Kara, the protagonist who awakened both Aura and Mana. Asha the mage who is the protagonist's closest friend. Aila, the future strongest nature mage. And the last person I wanted to check was the other extra that suddenly appeared, Ashley Morie.
"I find that hard to believe," Asha walked away but she was still giving me the side eye.
"See ya later."
Kara followed after her friend, leaving me at the entrance of the training hall. Looking around the place, I saw that every student was a woman. I didn't know why as it was never mentioned in the novel. Being a mage wasn't a woman only thing, and there were plenty of male mages mentioned in the novel.
"Is the class separated?" I wondered as someone approached me from behind.
"What's an aura user doing here?"
It was a man with a symbol of a staff on his gold coat, meaning he was from the royal class. And the symbol on his chest meant he was an upperclassman. After a year, all students will receive a symbol signifying their specialty. A staff for attack mages, an orb for support mages, a sword for warriors, a shield for tankers, a bow for marksmen, and a flag for variant users. A thing to take note of is that a student can have more than one symbol. Behind him was a group of what I would assume was his lackeys.
"What's an upperclassman doing here?"
"I asked a question first."
"I asked second."
He was visibly getting irritated. I would have simply answered his question, but the mocking tone he used pissed me off quite a bit. And since Raveil's despise for humanity was the dominant trait in my head right now, I felt very petty.
A magic circle appeared on the man's hand, then flames came to life.

I don't know why eye of analysis portrayed it like that, but fighting a senior was still risky, so this time I plan on Revenant being on stand-by instead forgetting about him like last time.
"Reve-" I froze for a moment, when I realized something. I couldn't feel Revenant at all.
[Ego – Revenant – Location – Savage angel dungeon]
"..."
"Shit."
------
As the ego of death, itself, Revenant had no qualms killing and dying repeatedly in this dungeon. His blade and armor were stained with the blood of the angels he had slaughtered. His master had ordered their elimination, so he will obey, no matter how many more he needed to kill.
At that moment, his connection to his master was faint, resulting in all the Aether gathered from his slaughter to only go to him.
[Revenant has ascended to rank 3 level 9]
A group of angels appeared before him, immediately casting holy magic to weaken him. But a quick swing of his sword had severed their heads and letting their bodies scatter into nothingness.
When he returns to his master's, he will be incomparably stronger than before.

If I activate aura rush, I'm certain that I could cause enough damage to send them running. If these upperclassmen had any battle experience, they should know that being this close to an aura user as a mage is suicide.
"I'll punish your arrogance!"
The man threw the ball of fire, and that was my signal to attack. Aura rush activated and I shot like a bullet. The ball of flame was destroyed upon collision with the aura wrapping around me, then I barreled through them.
There was a total of six of them, with two managing to avoid my attack by jumping to the side. I targeted the woman that began casting earth magic, grabbing her coat and using the momentum to toss her to the benches. The one that jumped on the other side used ice magic to freeze the ground.
I prepared to jump, but a wall of earth suddenly appeared between me and the upperclassmen. "What is the meaning of this?!" the instructor shouted as she marched towards us. Behind her, I noticed that Kara was also getting ready to intervene.
"They're the ones that attacked me with magic."
"You brute! My father..."
The man began boasting his father's position and threatening me, while the instructor's attempt to quiet him down was being ignored. His lackeys behind him were also trying to speak up, but every word was just pissing me off even more.
"I will make sure that you su-" "Mr. Raveil Gray, please head to the faculty first."
The upperclassmen immediately froze at the words of the instructor they were ignoring at first.
"G-Gray?" the upperclassman dropped to his knees.
They all turned pale.
With how much Raveil's emotions were affecting me, I had forgotten that Argonius Gray was someone that was feared. And judging by how terrified these brats are at the mere realization of my relation to him was, it would be a useful tool. Unfortunately, it's not a tool I would want to openly use.
With the crowd gathering, I hurriedly left the scene. Personally, I didn't like a lot of attention due to my poor people skills. Something that clashes with Raveil's social skills before being isolated due to the curse.
"I need to do something about my jumbled-up character."
"It's you."
I stopped to glance behind me and find the woman that almost killed me before.
Astrid.
