Right after Solara and I teleported she noticed we were at a halfway point that was different than her goal. "Shoot we're still between the Royal Chambers and the Royal Guards Station but at a spot that's farther from them both." Solara curses. I take on her form due to very few people knowing who I am, she looks at me before shrugging. "I suppose that'll be a bit faster in convincing some, but it'll be better if you're still in your normal human appearance because of how likely they are to be appraising you." I nod and reply, "Makes sense." She shivers slightly at her own voice from my mouth. So, I quickly change back to my human form before saying, "I agree that it's highly likely. Especially if any of the Royal Family and Royal Guards received a similar quest."
"Also, be careful. It's likely that someone has betrayed the Royal family. That's the most likely reason for us being transported to this spot." Solara warns. I nod before heading off towards the Royal Chambers at my fastest speed after turning part of my feet into roller blades. I also Turned the helm I was wearing into a full helmet that gives the impression of a hawk based on certain features that felt natural. The eyes actually are glowing faintly with colors of silver blue and fiery green at different times. Soon after reaching the outermost section of the Royal Chambers of the palace, I see Voidling's fighting against the guards stationed here. I notice some are already dead due to my sensitivity to the energies of living beings having received a boost after gaining the Supranium armor.
"I'm here to help!" I shouted to the still living and outnumbered guards. My arms turn into blades, and I imbue them with elemental energy, which makes them glow in a silvery light because I perfectly blended the different elements I knew. Still with roller blade feet I strike the first Voidling through the heart. Another loses its head from a slash I make. Followed closely by many others dying quickly as it looks like I'm dancing due to the roller blade feet and arm blades. Both of which are deadly weapons in my possession. The guards are left in awe because not only did I make short work of the creatures, but I immediately drew their attention after killing the first two and they surrounded me.
Which ended up being a bad move on their part, especially with not having to rely on just my eyes. I could pull off moves that would have injured my body normally if I weren't now a slime. Bending and twisting as if I was a whip at times or willow branches blowing in a violent wind. Once they were all killed, and I took the bodies into my Spatial Storage I checked what my gains were.
{Total Voidlings killed in 3 minutes: 25. 10 Level 5's for 550 exp. each; 10 Level 6's for 600 exp. each; 5 Level 7's for 700 exp. each}
My current level was now: [Level 13 with Exp Needed being 2090/2600] {Notice: Enemies under Beginner Rank now give Half the experience.} After taking that in that information I double checked on every one of the guards in front of me. They're all exhausted and have severe to minor wounds. "I'm going to send you all to a safe location and am here due to an emergency quest I received. Solara is heading towards the Royal Guard Barracks and training area to save as many as possible." I say and am informed by one of the guards, "At least twenty more made it past us so please hurry only a few of the guards are in Beginner rank and those are mostly directly outside of the sleeping chambers or directly under any of the Royal Family." I nod in acknowledgement of the information and send them to the agreed upon location.
'For there to be at least 45 of these things here just who is the traitor and what about the Starfire family is so dangerous to them?' I think to myself as I speed into the building rescuing and teleporting as many as I can. I realized by the 21st Voidling I slew, all of which were level 7, that they potentially entered via other areas as well. After that realization I stretch my Magic Sense to the limit to encompass as much of the building as possibly in order to make my clearing of areas and rescuing faster. I was able to finally detect the remaining royal guards and the royal family that was still alive. They were all in the throne room and a hoard of at least another 20, not counting the stragglers heading that way, were trying to force their way in.
Knowing that clearing the hallways and rooms would be ineffective at this point, I make a beeline for the throne room sensing that something bad may happen. Killing only the Voidlings that are directly in my path by creating a spinning blade that will slice them straight down the middle should they be there. Which still amounted to 15 level 10's at 500 exp each now, before I was in sight of the doors. Soon as I make it within view of the doors to the throne room I realize after appraising all of the Voidlings there. They're all approaching or in Intermediate rank with 10 being low Beginner rank between levels 13 and 18 (2 level 13's, 4 level 16's and 4 level 18's). The remaining 30, which must have been some of the stragglers, were levels 21 to 27. Of which 2 were level 21, 3 were level 23, 1 each for levels 24, 25, and 26 and 7 level 27's.
Taking into account the surroundings as well as the number of Voidlings I decided to cast multiple Wind Blade's. 10 first directed at the level 13's, 16's and 18's managing to split them in half from top to bottom in one shot due to the element of surprise. Then, I sent multiple Wind Blades at the 2 level 21's and 3 level 23's. Meeting about the same success but this time due to managing to cube them because of how I spaced the blades against them leading to their movements to dodge killing them for me as much as the blades themselves killed them.
The remaining 11 though were able to take better positions to be harder to kill while also still putting a bunch of pressure on the ones inside the doors. I also ended up having to deal with newcomers as well, making it so I couldn't be as helpful as I'd have liked. I'd also gained an ability called Blade Dancer before this point enabling my use of blades on any part of my body and movements that seem like a dance that is capable of striking from odd angles and with an odd fluidity of movement.
Of course, against a veritable horde of enemies that were getting closer except for the higher-level ones that predominantly focused on those behind the door. Blade Dancer is a very deadly ability to possess when fighting a group. So, I started to easily clean up the arriving stragglers while still aware of how everything else was going on and casting wind blades to at least harass the high-level enemies making it difficult for them to all focus on the doors and guards there.
After wasting the remaining stragglers, I noticed that I'd reached level 27 even. Then just attacked full bore on the 10 remaining enemies before the doors to the throne room. I quickly and easily dispatched the level 24, 25, and 26 enemies and started to take out the remaining 7. A couple of them managed to land a blow or two on me but it just looked like a strange cut with no liquid oozing out. After they were all dead, by being sliced apart. Stabbed through the heart, or otherwise destroyed by my blades. I looked at the guards and was able to notice that only 7 of the original 20 on this side of the door were still unharmed, 3 were injured badly but could easily recover and the rest were either dead or dying.
After chatting with them quickly and briefly about the situation as well as whether or not to bring the dead and dying to the teleportation location I sent them all there after a bit of first aid treatment. I made sure to knock on the doors in the specified manner of three hard knocks, 2 moderate knocks, 1 soft knock, and 4 Palm strike knocks. The doors opened slowly after that and only wide enough for one person at a time to enter. I'd reached level 31 at this time and been ready to hopefully just communicate with the remaining 5 guards and Royal Family.
Sadly, not long after entering, confirming the people that were inside and noticing the damn man of Lupine stabbing towards, who I assumed to be the king, back of a well-dressed and crowned gentleman. There was no time to react, and I wasn't able to do more than appraise everyone and the weapon before something extremely bad became a reality. I did, however, manage to get to the others and pulled them all behind me, except three, using multiple arms before something unexpected occurred.
