She sprung to her feet and glared at him in response to his irritating laugh. She adjusted her blouse before landing back on her behind. She shouted at him to stop as she almost pounded her hands off the mat. Before she could speak, she bit her tongue. Despite the fact that he was making her angry, he was also showing her how horribly unprepared she was.
Before he could knock her down once again, she forced herself to get up and dance. His body swung gracefully around the mat as he went around her. "You're spry," he said to her. "You can outmaneuver a vampire enough to escape, but you'll never be able to overpower one."
I prefer to murder than to flee.
