There were commotions immediately after Fabian's shout. Everyone in the building lunged at Fabian, attacking him. Some of them were bare-handed. Some of them had weapons.
Fabian unsheathed his sword and extended it toward the mass of people. He did not want to kill them because he assumed that these people were simply protecting their base.
He sliced people's arms and legs. He tried to debilitate them without rendering them lifeless. But small injuries could not hinder them from moving. Even those injured did not give up attacking Fabian.
The building became a bloodbath in an instant. Those who could not move again were whimpering on the ground, crawling toward Fabian. While those who could still fight were charging at him.
