"My train arrived, See you in future." Siddharth carry one backpack on back and hold another in hand. He started moving towards train and then Rupali pick up her trolley bag and followed Siddharth in hurry.
"Hey soldiers wait for me, I am also going in same train." Rupali told hurriedly and followed up Siddharth.Siddhartha sat in the train over his seat. He saw some jerky boys who is flirting with girls.
First he didn't say anything because they just passed comments in lower voice. Then Rupali entered in train. After seeing her those boys whistled and Siddharth lifted his left eyebrow like he started getting serious.
Next Rupali is walking in the compartment looking for her seat when suddenly one of those boys put his foot in the middle to make Rupali fall.
Rupali was about to fall on the boy's feet but Siddharth held her.
"what a lucky soldier, he gets to touch this hot chick." one of those boys passed comment and then Siddharth got irritated and going to beat them but Rupali stopped him because they are five boys and Siddharth is alone with a fractured arm.
Siddharth sat over his seat and Rupali also sat beside him because their seats are beside each other.
"Why you stopped, I never expected the youth of country to be this much spoiled." Siddharth said while controlling his anger.
"Let it go, it is not new for me even I complaint it in railways and police station but nothing happened. I forgot to bring my pepper spray" Rupali said then she took out a headphone she wears it and then she played music but headphones is not working then she check headphones but nothing found.
"Why not you look at wire instead of checking speaker." Siddharth said and then Rupali check the wire and it is cut by a rat. She mad crying face.
"I bought it after so efforts, now I don't have this" She said with upset voice but then Siddharth passed her his headphones thse are of same brand and same model.
"You can take mine" Siddharth calmly said and Rupali just took headphones that she hears a slapping voice.
"What happened?" She peeks and then tell Siddharth.
"Soldier, a pretty girl slapped that boy who put his foot in middle to make me fall." She said happily but suddenly she got worried one of that boy again slapped that girl and started misbehaving with her.
She tells Siddharth and then Siddharth got up moved his one arm.
"What are you doing? You are alone and they are five." She said worriedly but Siddharth was in mood to fight.
"Fighting is the part of a soldier's daily life. when I can fight with hundreds of fully armed soldiers then these five kids are nothing to compare my one arm is enough to disciple them." Siddharth goes there.
The boy pushed the girl back and she collided with Siddharth. "Hey miss are you alright?" She asked politely and that girl gets a hope of help after seeing his uniform.
"Soldier, those boys were commenting on girls passing by, they also tried to touch me inappropriately." She asked while looking at those boys fiercely but after looking at Siddharth's fractured arm she got disappointed.
"Hey hottie, can't you see this soldier's one arm is fractured why you want him to fracture his another arm." Those all boys started laughing but Siddharth caught one boy from neck and hit it with his knee and kicked him back.
The boy fell over surface and unable to got up because of pain. "Any of you want to taste the power of a soldier's arm." Siddharth said and then those boys said sorry because of dear after seeing the condition of their injured friend. Then all passangers started clapping for him but he is not happy because nobody dares to stop those boys and sat silently.
Siddharth came back to his seat and sat down. He feels like he is missing something but he couldn't memorize what he is missing.
Soon that girl he just saved came and sat over the seat opposite to Siddharth's seat. "Soldier thanks for helping me, here is over fifty people in this compartment but only you helped me." Her voice is calming and relaxing for Siddharth.
"Its a soldier's duty" Siddharth said. Rupali is sleeping while listening music.
She extends her hand and said "My name is Amrita and I am going to Hyderabad".
Siddharth shakes hand and said "My name name is Siddharth Singh."
"So you are going to meet your family after end of war?" She asked and Siddharth slightly smiled.
"Why are smiling? Did I say a joke?" She asked the question.
"Actually I got suspended from army for not following superior's orders " She said without any regret.
"Are you kidding me, stop joking" She said but Siddharth took out the suspension orders and showed her.
After reading the order she feels sad and said "You got suspended for six months."
"Yes, and in this six months I have to do a lt of works. It is not enough for me" Siddharth said with casual tone.
"Are you happy with this suspension " She asked with questioning expression on face
"its been seven years since I meet my family. and I am not only happy for me but I am happy because at least I got the chance to help my soldier brothers." He said with full spirit and Amrita got confused.
She said "Don't you miss your family?"
"Who said we soldiers don't miss our family, we miss our families and if we went back to meet them then enemy will invade us and then all the families will suffer casualities. A soldier have to do his duty before his mutual duties as son, as father, as husband, as brother." Siddharth's answer awaken a sense of humanity in that girl's heart.
"Are you taking back gifts for your family?" she asked after looking at his two backpacks.
"No, actually one bag is full of letters that I have to deliver to the families of those soldiers whose leave application got rejected. And they have not seen their families since more than five years or more. so first I'll deliver this letters and then I'll go to attend someone's marriage and then I'll go to my village and live there for a while." Siddharth said and that girl smiled.
"Well, you also fought in previous war?" She asked after seeing his fractured arm.
"Yes, I am posted in valley of Line of control (L.O.C) , during war I didn't obey high commnd's orders ended up like this. On time the back up reached otherwise I'll be resting under ground or flowing in a river." Siddharth said in funny way and that girl laughed.
"How can you say all this so causally, I mean you just survived death and still so calm." She said but then Siddharth took out his phone and showed her so many photos.
"This pictures are all before the start of this war. And can you see there are total ten soldiers. we were a team and the guy on my ride side is same guy from my village and also my friend. He died when our team tried to take control over our post which is captured by enemy soldiers. Not only two more members died in that mission. And you know, one of these soldier's sister's marriage is after three months and one's child is just three years old and my friend he is just a only supporting member for his family." Siddharth got slightly emotional while mentioning all this and she also got sad.
